This file format can be used to create DVD-Videos
in authoring software such as PIXELA's "Capty
DVD/VCD2".
B: Elementary Stream Format
(Splited into audio file and video file)
This file format can be used to create DVD-Videos
in authoring software such as Apple's "DVD Studio
Pro".
Save video footage in the format for
authoring software.
Read video footage from a DVD
camcorder or a DVD drive.
Supported DVD:
DVD-VR format of DVD-RW, DVD-RAM
DVD-Video format of DVD-R, DVD-RW
Make DVDs with saved files by using an
DVD authoring software.
You can read video footage from DVD camcorder
or DVD drive, convert file format and save. You can
also trim videos and save.

Overview of Pixe VRF Browser EX
Start and Exit
“Pixe VRF Browser EX” is an easy-to-use software to read video footage which you have recorded with
a DVD camcorder or a DVD recorder, and save it to use as a content of your original DVDs when using
authoring tool. This “Quick Guide” shows you the basic steps to read and save video footage from DVD
camcorder to your Mac.
* Images and detailed steps in this document might be different depending on the software versions. For more details, refere to
“Pixe VRF Browser EX” help manual.
Open [Applications] - [Pixe VRF Browser EX] and double click the icon (image
on the right) to start the software.

Start
Select [Pixe VRF Browser EX] - [Quit Pixe VRF Browser EX] from the file menu.
Exit

Read
Save
Click the [Save] button to save the file.
Save
Select a desired scene(s) by clicking the
thumbnail(s) in the Video List window.
Click the [Save] button.
Select scene(s)
* For how to connect DVD camcorder with
Mac, please refer to the instruction manual of
your DVD camcorder.

Turn on the DVD camcorder and connect with your Mac.
Make sure no disc is in the DVD camcorder at this time.
Click the [Drive] button.
Select your DVD camcorder from the [Select drive]
dialogue box.
Insert the disc which you recorded video footage
with the DVD camcorder.
Connect DVD camcorder
Start Pixe VRF Browser EX
Insert disc
Select drive
Click the [OK] button in the dialog.

This format is for authoring tools such as
PIXELA's "Capty DVD/VCD2".
Elementary
Stream
This format is for the Apple's DVD-Video
authoring software, "DVD Studio Pro".
* You can cut unnecessary parts from the video footage. See on the next page

Set following options in the [Save] dialog box.
- Destination Folder
- File Name To Save As
- Movie Saving Format

".

Drag and drop the group thumbnail to the Start
Point.
Drag the Playback Slider to display the position
you want to cut.
Click the [Cut] button.
Click the [Compile] button.
Set cutting range
Drag and drop the group thumbnail to the End
Point.
Select a desired scene by clicking its thumbnail
in the Video List window.
Select a scene
Click the [MPEG Editor] button to start the
"
MPEG Editor".

Apple's "DVD Studio Pro".
Set following options in the [Save] dialog box.
- Save as : set desired file name
- Where : set destination for saving the file
- Format : select file format
Click the [Save] button to save the file.
Save
Cut unnecessary parts from the selected video footage, and save.
Use the [<<] [>>] buttons on the sides to adjust
the position to cut.

You will see scissors marks in the group
thumbnail you have selected as a cut range, and
the range(s) will be removed when saving as a
new file.
