5HFW-1 Series shown
Piper’s HFW-1 Multiple Well Drop-ins add a dependable, convenient and economical hot food unit to your counter section. Designed to be used wet or dry, and installed into all-metal counter fixtures. Multiple well units are available with or without drains.
ASSEMBLY STRUCTURE
ΞΞOne-piece top-mounting flange is stainless steel with die-stamped openings in which the wells are mounted
ΞΞIndividual wells are 20-gauge stainless steel, onepiece, die-stamped construction
ΞΞLocks are included on all sides to fasten unit into the countertop
ΞΞUnits are fully insulated for high heat transfer
ΞΞDrains are manifolded together and include fittings at each end for field attachment of the pipe cap and 3/4 NPT drain valve provided
The recommended mounting procedure is to seal the one-piece top-mounting flange to the countertop by application of silicone NSF Standard 51 rated at 450 F around the topmounting flange before mounting in place.

Piper’s Bottom-mount Built-in is constructed of heavyduty deep drawn seamless stainless steel 20 gauge thickness.
The unit can be bottom-insulated or fully-insulated and is designed to be built into a metal counter.
All drains are of stainless steel construction, 1/2 NPT fused welded to the bottom pan with a stainless steel removable screen.
Heating element is metal sheath tubular calrod construction, shaped in a double “U” configuration for even heat transfer to the well pan.
Element is mounted under the well pan and attached to an enclosed heat deflector which is fully insulated and shielded for best BTU transfer.
Deflector pan is installed to well pan with quick-removal threaded retainers.

BID SPECIFICATIONS
Piper’s Top-mount Drop-in is constructed of heavy-duty deep drawn seamless stainless steel 20 gauge thickness. The unit can be bottom-insulated or fully-insulated and is designed to be dropped into a metal counter and secured with the locking mechanism.
All drains are of stainless steel construction, 1/2 NPT fused welded to the bottom pan with a stainless steel removable screen.
Heating element is metal sheath tubular calrod construction, shaped in a double “U” configuration for even heat transfer to the well pan.
Element is mounted under the well pan and attached to an enclosed heat deflector which is fully insulated and shielded for best BTU transfer.
Deflector pan is installed to well pan with quick-removal threaded retainers.
