INTRODUCTION
Thank you for your purchase of this Pilotage Radio Control Model Helicopter – PILOTAGE SJ 991. We hope that this model will provide you with hours of enjoyment and entertainment. Though this model is designed for beginner R/C pilots, please keep in mind that this product is not a toy. It is a sophisticated, functional, ying model. It is important that you review all the below warnings, precautions and warranty terms. Please retain these instructions and the box for further reference.
Due to the fact that Pilotage Marketing LLP is constantly improving the quality and functional characteristics of its products, some details, colors, and functions may dier slightly from the images presented on the box and in the instructions.
WARRANTY
Pilotage Marketing LLP guarantees that this model is free from defects both in material and craftsmanship on the date of purchase. This guarantee does not cover any component parts damaged by use or modication. Pilotage Marketing LLP’s liability will under no circumstances exceed the original cost of the purchased model. Moreover, Pilotage Marketing LLP reserves the right to change or modify this warranty without notice.
If upon purchasing this product the buyer nds defects to the product as a result of the manufacturing process, he/she is recommended to return this product to any Pilotage store located in the country of purchase to exchange or refund the product.
Given that Pilotage Marketing LLP has no control over the nal assembly or use of this product, Pilotage Marketing LLP shall assume no liability for damage caused resulting from the use by the user of the nal user­assembled product. By using this product the user accepts all resulting liability.
If the purchaser of this product is not prepared to accept the liability associated with the use of this product, they are advised to return this model within 14 days of the initial purchase to any Pilotage store in the country of purchase. The product must be in complete and unused condition along with receipt of purchase at the moment of return.
The terms of the above warranty are not applicable on the territory of the Russian Federation.
PRECAUTIONS
1. Be sure that limbs, hair and loose clothing are clear of the rotor blades at all times.
2. Be sure that all spectators are behind you and the model at all times when ying.
3. Prior to takeo, inspect the model for any damage that may have resulted from the previous ight.
4. Only use the blades that are supplied with the model.
5. Discard any broken, cracked, or nicked blades. Never attempt to y this model with blades that are in disrepair.
6. Assemble the model according to these instructions. Do not alter or modify the construction of this model; if

you do so the warranty for this product will be void.
7. Test the range and operational integrity of this model prior to each ight to insure that all components are in good repair and that the model remains structurally sound.
8. Fly only on calm days when wind is still.
9. Never leave the model in direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time.
10. Never use this model near power lines, radio towers, or other locations where there is known high radio wave or electromagnetic activity.
11. Do not allow water or liquid to touch the model or any of the components.
12. Store the model in a cool dry location as high humidity can damage the model and its components.
13. Protect the model from bumps, jolts, and concussions from other hard objects as this could damage the model.
14. Keep the model clean of dust, mud and dirt.
15. Never place foreign objects on top of the model.
16. Use the model ONLY in wide open spaces that are free of people, or at your local RC ight club.
17. NEVER use the model near populated pedestrian areas. This could lead to damage of property or injury to bystanders.
18. Prior to takeo, always check that transmitter and receiver batteries are fully charged and are fresh. As battery power decreases the quality of the radio signal diminishes and control over the model could fail.
19. Please dispose of used batteries and electronic components in accordance with your municipal and federal regulations relating to the disposal of electronic waste.
20. Keep in mind that those in your vicinity may also use radio control models. Please check prior to takeo that you are using a unique frequency to all those around you. Not doing so may cause you and others to lose control over your models.
21. If the model does not properly respond to signals, land immediately and do not attempt to use the model until the cause has been determined and xed.
22. After ying, switch o the power on the vehicle and the transmitter and remove the batteries from the Tx and model.
Attention
1. This product is not suitable for children under 14 years of age. Adult supervision of children under this age is highly recommended.
2. This kit contains a number of small parts which are fragile and may act as choking hazards. Please store and assemble this model well out of the reach of small children.
3. Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type.
4. The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
5. Do not use new and old batteries together. Do not mix dierent brands or kinds of batteries.
6. Make sure to insert batteries with correct (+) and (-) polarity.
7. Do not short-circuit this model, which is potentially dangerous.
8. If the model gets wet, dry it, and stop playing to avoid short-circuiting that may cause hazards.
9. Do not disassemble and resolder this model.
10. Never attempt to dispose of the model or the batteries in a re, components are explosive and may release toxic gases.

BATTERY AND CHARGING SAFETY
This model is powered by a 3.7V lithium-polymer (Li-Pol) battery. Damage to your Li-Pol battery can cause the cell to catch re or explode. Please carefully review and adhere to the following safety guidelines:
1. Only use the charger included in this kit to charge the Li-Pol battery in the model as it has been specically designed to charge this model.
2. Never reverse the polarity while plugging in the charger connector.
3. Never leave your model unattended while charging.
4. Never leave or store your model with the charger connected to the model.
5. Never leave or store your model with the battery connected to the model’s input lead.
6. Never use the model if the battery becomes hot, emits an odor or leaks a uid.
7. If battery uid touches your skin ush it well with water.
8. Never attempt to burn or incinerate this model.
9. When disposing of this model tape the leads to prevent short circuiting, and take it to a recycling center that is qualied to dispose of electronic waste and batteries.
10. Do not charge/discharge (use) or store this model at temperatures below freezing or above 45 degrees C (113 degrees F).
11. Charge the battery in a re proof location, well away from potentially ammable items.
12. Never short-circuit the model.
13. Never allow the battery to charge in excess of 30 minutes.
ATTENTION!
This model is equipped with a Li-Pol battery. Ensure that you turn the power on the model “o” after use. Doing so will prevent a deep discharge of the battery. If the battery is improperly allowed to discharge, the product life will be signicantly reduced and may even cause a re hazard. If the model remains unused for long periods of time, charge, discharge and charge again the model at least one time every 6 months to ensure good working condition of your battery.

Take out the batterry cover from the back of remote control,and install 4 batteries (size AA) into the battery case correctly (Refer to the followed picture), then shut the battery cover.
Charging from TX
Move the power switch of the controller to the “ON” position, the power light will be ashing, and insert the USB wire into the USB Charging port of the controller, then correctly connect another end of the wire to the interface of the helicopter, when the searching light of the helicopter is ashing quickly, the helicopter is in charging. Charging time is about 30 minutes. After nishing charging, the searching light will change normal light.
Charging from PC
Insert the USB wire into the USB interface of the computer, then connect another end of the wire to the interface of the helicopter, the searching light of the helicopter is ashing quickly. Charging time is about 30 minutes. After nishing charging, the searching light of the helicopter will change normal light.

RUNNING YOUR MODEL
PILOTAGE SJ 991 Series adopt the latest infrared auto connection technology, following the steps before operating the helicopter:
1. Move the power switch of the helicopter to the ”ON” position, putting the helicopter on the ground or any at place when the searching light keep ashing rapidly.after 2 seconds.as the searching light turns to normal blinking light.the helicopter keeps in the holding state.
2. Move the channel frequency switch of the controller to the ”A” or “B” or “C” position, select the one channel frequency.opening the power switch of the controller, slowly push up the throttle control stick to the top position.and then push it down to the bottom position.now the controller will keep in the holding state when the indicated light of the controller turn to the normal blinking light.
REMARK:
3. Slowly push up the throttle stick while the helicopter takes o.
NOTE!
1. When you turn on the power switch of the helicopter.the helicopter will search for the frequency channel single automatically; the channel will not be changed at the rst time unless you turn o the power switch of the helicopter.
2. When 2 or 3 helicopters will keep in the same frequency to y simultanously, please move the frequency channel power switch to the “A” or “B” or “C” position.also do not pair 2 or 3 helicopters at the same time, you should select the frequency channel one by one.otherwise.you can not connect it.

FLIGHT CONTROLS
DEMO
Pull up the throttle stick to operate the helicopter, pressing the DEMO button, the helicopter can do the actions: circling, hovering, turn left/right, forward/backward/up/ down automatically.
UPWARD
When the helicopter ies steadily, you can push up the throttle control stick slowly, and the helicopter is ying high; Only change the throttle control stick a bit can make the helicopter y steadily.
DOWNWARD
When the helicopter ies steadily, you can push down the throttle control stick slowly, and the helicopter is ying low. Only change the throttle control stick a bit can make the helicopter y steadily.
TURN CLOCKWISE AND COUNTER-CLOCKWISE
Keep the helicopter at a height, push the direction control stick toward right to turn clockwise; or push the direction control stick toward left to turn counter-clockwise.
FORWARD
When you push up the direction control stick (use rudder trim), the helicopter nose will incline down and then move ahead.
BACKWARD
When you push down the direction control stick (use rudder trim), the helicopter nose will incline up and then move backward.

Hovering
Push up the throttle stick to keep the helicopter in a denite height, using the rudder trim to adjust it’s direction; then the helicopter can rest in the air for a moment without using the controller.
Speed mode
High/low speed
1. It is suitable for the beginner that the controller will be defaulted the low-speed mode once you open the controller.
2. The player can fully enjoy themselves for changing the high/low speed mode.
The power switch of the ashing light
Press the switch of ashing light whether you would like to turn on the light or not.
SET THE FLIGHT MODE
MAINTAINANCE AND REPAIR
1. Avoid the product to be exposed in the sunlight or the heated place.
2. Please turn o the power switch of the helicopter and remote control when it is not used.
3. Please take out the batteries from the remote control when it is not used for a long time.
4. Please check the plug and other accessories in a xed time. If any damage is discovered, please do not use it until it is completely repaired.
NOTE:
When there is spinning happened during forward or backward,you can operate the direction rudder to rectify its ying route in the same time.
If you do not push the steering lever during the ight.however, the helicopter is still spinning in the air, you just simply trim the direction rudder on the transmitter until the helicopter is balanced and won’ t spin any more.

SYSTEM PROTECTION
1. If the helicopter In not operated within 5 min, it will be in state of dormany automatically and all the indicator light will be o, now only little electric current comsumption make the quantity of electricity kept for a long time. When the power switch move to the “OFF“ positon and then move it to the “ON” position, the system of the helicopter will be restarted .
Fan jamming protection:
2. when the helicopter is striken by sth and then fell down,the fan doesnt work and the motor doesn’t drive automatically, now the searching light keeps ashing quickly, the throttle stick should be move to the lowest position and then the helicopter can be restarted.
Low electricity protection:
3. when the battery voltage is lower than 2.8V, the indicator light will be o, and the helicopter will be in state of dormany, little electric current comsumption make the battery can be kept for a long time.and then you can charge the helicopter.
4. Move the power switch to the “OFF” position, the quantity of battery can be kept for a long time.
When the helicopter rotates in clockwise,you can adjust the rudder trim to the counter-clockwise.
When the helicopter rotates in counter-clockwise,you can adjust the rudder trim to the clockwise.

1. Insert the Mini-USB cable into the helicopter and computer.
2. Install the helicopter USB CD driver to the computer CD driver.
3. Open the CD, double click the logo “SJ R/C“.

• Оберегайте батареи от воздействия огня или высокой температуры.
• Чтобы избежать травм в случае столкновения, не приближайтесь сами и не позволяйте другим
приближаться к движущейся модели на расстояние ближе 1-2 метра.
• Не разбирайте и не пытайтесь модернизировать модель, это может привести к повреждению модели и стать причиной аварии.
• Во время полета всегда держите модель в поле зрения, при управлении не отвлекайтесь и не позволяйте модели приближаться к вам или окружающим.
• Дети младше 14-и лет могут использовать модель только под присмотром взрослых.
• Для зарядки используйте только оригинальный USB кабель из комплекта модели и никогда не
превышайте время зарядки, которое должно составлять не более 30 минут.

1. Снимите крышку отсека батарей на задней стенке передатчика.
2. Соблюдая полярность, установите 4 батарейки (размера АА) как показано на рисунке.
3. Закройте крышку отсека батарей передатчика.
Зарядка от пульта
Установите переключатель питания передатчика в положение «ON», индикатор питания будет мигать. Вставьте соответствующий разъем USB кабеля в гнездо USB передатчика, другой разъем кабеля подключите в гнездо для зарядки на вертолете, когда лампа индикатора вертолета быстро мигает, аккумулятор вертолета заряжается. Время зарядки составляет приблизительно 30 минут. После окончания зарядки индикатор станет светиться постоянно.
Зарядка от ПК
Вставьте соответствующий разъем USB кабеля в порт USB компьютера, а затем другой разъем кабеля подключите в гнездо для зарядки на вертолете, лампа индикатора вертолета будет быстро мигать. ПЕРВОЕ ВКЛЮЧЕНИЕ
В данном вертолете используется новейшая технология автоматической инициализации инфракрасного управления, поэтому перед началом эксплуатации выполните следующее:
1. Установите на ровной горизонтальной поверхности. Переключите выключатель питания вертолета в положение «ON», лампа индикатор вертолета будет быстро мигать. Через 2 секунды индикатор станет мигать нормально, указывая, что вертолет находится в рабочем состоянии.
2. Установите переключатель частот на передатчике в положение «A», «B» или «C». Включите питание передатчика, затем медленно переместите ручку газа передатчика до упора от себя, а затем на себя, в нижнее положение. Теперь передатчик находится в рабочем состоянии, а его индикатор будет мигать в обычном режиме.
3. Медленно переместите ручку газа передатчика от себя, и вертолет взлетит.
ВНИМАНИЕ!
1. При включении питания вертолета модель автоматически настроится на выбранный при предыдущем включении канал.
2. Если вы собираетесь запускать с друзьями 2 или 3 вертолета одновременно, пожалуйста, выберите для каждого вертолета разную частоту «A», «B» и «C», в противном случае, если у моделей будет выбрана одна частота, например, у всех частота «A», вертолеты не смогут летать.
3. На вертолете установлена система защиты. Включайте сначала питание передатчика, а затем питание вертолета. После чего следует переместить ручку газа передатчика до упора на себя, , чтобы включился мотор, а затем можно приступать к полетам.

УПРАВЛЕНИЕ
DEMO
Во время устойчивого зависания модели нажмите кнопку DEMO. Вертолет выполнит демо - полет в автоматическом режиме.
НАБОР ВЫСОТЫ
При перемещении ручки газа от себя, обороты мотора увеличиваются - вертолет взлетает и набирает высоту.
СНИЖЕНИЕ
При перемещении ручки газа на себя обороты мотора уменьшаются - вертолет снижается.
ПОВОРОТЫ ВЛЕВО/ВПРАВО
При перемещении ручки управления влево - нос вертолета поворачивает влево. При перемещении ручки управления вправо - нос вертолета поворачивает вправо.
ПОЛЕТ ВПЕРЕД
При перемещении ручки управления от себя нос вертолета наклоняется вниз - вертолет летит вперед.
ПОЛЕТ НАЗАД
При перемещении ручки управления назад хвост вертолета отклоняется вниз - вертолет летит назад.

Зависание
Подберите такое положение ручки газа передатчика, при котором вертолет зависнет в воздухе в одном положении, без набора высоты или снижения. При необходимости используйте триммер курса (как описано ниже), чтобы устранить тенденцию разворота вертолета влево или вправо, пока вертолет не будет «висеть» на одном месте, не требуя корректировки его положения ручками передатчика.
Выбор режима скорости полета
Высокая
При включении передатчика по умолчанию всегда включается низкая скорость полета, что наиболее приемлемо для новичка.
Выключатель мигающего света
Нажимая кнопку LIGHT, вы можете включить или выключить иллюминацию.
Низкая
Нажимая на кнопку SPEED, пилот может переключать низкую скорость полета на высокую и обратно.
ВЫКЛЮЧАТЕЛЬ СВЕТА И РЕЖИМОВ СКОРОСТИ
ОБСЛУЖИВАНИЕ И РЕМОНТ
1. Оберегайте модель от нагревания и воздействия яркого солнечного света.
2. Пожалуйста, всегда выключайте питания вертолета и передатчика сразу после полета. Несоблюдение этого правила приведет к повреждению батарей модели.
3. Если модель не будет использоваться в течение длительного времени, перед хранением извлеките батарейки из передатчика.
4. Пожалуйста, проверяйте разъемы и другие детали модели сразу после каждого полета, если что-либо повреждено, пожалуйста, не запускайте модель, пока не замените поврежденные детали.
ВНИМАНИЕ!
Во время полета вперед или назад вы можете одновременно корректировать направление полета вертолета ручкой управления по курсу.
Если во время зависания, при отпущенной ручке управления передатчика, вертолет вращается влево или вправо, устраните вращение триммером курса на передатчике.

СИСТЕМА ЗАЩИТЫ
1. Если вертолет бездействует в течение 5-и минут, в целях экономии энергии все индикаторы будут автоматически выключены, но не храните в таком состоянии вертолет! В этом режиме он все равно потребляет какое-то количество энергии, что, при длительном хранении, может привести к повреждению батареи. Если выключатель питания переместить в положение «OFF», а затем переместить его в положение «ON», система вертолета будет перезапущена.
Защита от перегрузки:
2. Если что-либо мешает вращению ротора, например, вертолет упал, и ротор не может вращаться, моторы автоматически отключатся, а лампа, индикатор будет быстро мигать. Переместите ручку газа передатчика до упора на себя, после чего вертолет может быть перезапущен.
Низкое напряжение аккумулятора:
3. Если напряжение батареи упадет ниже 2,8В, в целях защиты индикатор выключится, и вертолет не будет работать. В этом случае немедленно зарядите аккумулятор, иначе он может выйти из строя.
4. Помните! Только когда выключатель питания модели установлен в положение «OFF» аккумулятор может храниться в течение длительного времени!
Если вертолет вращается влево, нажимайте правую сторону клавиши триммера курса, пока вертолет не перестанет вращаться.
Если вертолет вращается вправо, нажимайте левую сторону клавиши триммера курса, пока вертолет не перестанет вращаться.

1. Вставьте мини-USB разъем кабеля в гнездо мини-USB для подключения ПК на вертолете, противоположный разъем USB кабеля вставьте в USB порт компьютера.
2. Вставьте прилагаемый CD диск в CD дисковод компьютера.
3. Двойным кликом на иконку «SJ R/C» откройте содержимое CD диска. Скопируйте папку с CD диска в компьютер. Затем, уже без CD диска, дважды кликнув «SJ R/C» в компьютере, вы можете создавать в программе собственный текст, который будет выводиться на лопастях во время полета.
