Photoflex UM-ADH30 User Manual

Family of Umbrellas
The Photoflex® umbrella line is new and improved! Now our umbrella ribs and strut pivots are constructed of a fiberglass composite, which is not only stronger, but also offers better resiliency and durability than steel or aluminum. This new feature allows for almost carefree handling, all but eliminating damage caused from over bending delicate steel tube ribs. All umbrella center poles are extruded and closed off at the base (vs. folded, hollow tubes, like many other umbrellas, that are easily bent and dented) adding to the durability of the Photoflex® umbrella model. All Photoflex® umbrellas have a three year warranty.

Most light heads, head mounting clamps, and LiteStand mounts will have a receptacle and locking mechanism for securing the

Adjusting the Shape of the Umbrella
8. The ADH and ADW umbrellas can be reshaped, allowing for ner control of light coverage and shape of light reections. Reshaping the umbrella can also save space on the set.
The umbrella is reshaped by moving individual ribs on the umbrella.
9. Four of the eight ribs are stationary and should NOT be moved. These ribs have loops sewn over the ribs to keep
them in place. The remaining four ribs can be moved.
10. The end-cap on each umbrella rib tip has two receptacle holes
for the ribs. When the umbrella is in its orginal or roundshape,
