Overview
The new Phonic Smartman is the smart choice in all-in-one audio
systems. Smartman combines the convenience of active speakers combining loudspeaker and amplifier technologies - with digital mixing
and signal processing. Incorporated signal processors include 2-band
EQ, Graphic EQ, limiter, high pass filter, low pass filter and digital
effects - all of which can be controlled remotely through the Windows
software or iPad remote app.
The Smartman comes in three main configurations: 8" (Smartman
303A), 10" (Smartman 503A) and 12" (Smartman 708A). Smartman
303A features a 1" tweeter while the Smartman 503A and 708A both
offer a 1¾" tweeter. In all cases, woofers and tweeters are matched for
the perfect marriage of highs and lows regardless of the musical source.
Smartman 303A, Smartman 503A, Smartman 703A and Smartman
708A all come complete with extensive digital mixing. This includes
level mixing for all input mixes as well as a good number of useful
signal processors. Input channels all feature their own parametric EQ
while the main output has a flexible graphic EQ.

Smartman 700D includes a variable delay circuitry that allows for up
to 600 ms of delay (for up to 200m of compensation). This plays into
the Smartman's Infinite Expansion feature that allows any number of
speakers to be chained together for flawless operation.
A carefully crafted polymer enclosure with stunning curves not only
looks great, but also improves durability when on the road. The tourgrade grille protects drivers from damage while maintaining clarity.
Remote Operation
The Smartman 303A, 503A, 703A and 708A include an RJ-45 port for
extended remote operation through an RS-485 protocol. Connect
the Smartman loudspeaker to a router or directly to your computer
to control the speaker through Phonic's own Smartman Windows
control software. The remote operation function brings a whole new
level of flexibility to loudspeakers that are already built to remarkable
standards.
