Ambilight Spectra 2
The sensorial halo of Ambilight Spectra 2 adds
a new dimension to the viewing experience.
You feel fully immersed in the images, viewing
becomes a more intensive experience than you
could ever imagine. The compact Power LED
technology integrates seamless in the
backcover avoiding any glare to the front. The
separate drive of the LED's creates a multitude
of light segments that fuse into one soft
surround of light. This offers an improved
following of onscreen content and a dramatic
extention of the picture in the room.
Perfect Pixel HD Engine
Perfect Pixel HD Engine offers the unique
combination of ultimate sharpness, natural
detail, vivid colors and smooth natural motion
on all qualities of HD, standard TV signals and
multimedia content, for high definition displays.
Each pixel of the incoming picture is enhanced
to better match the surrounding pixels,
resulting in a more natural picture. Artifacts
and noise in all sources from multimedia to
standard TV and also in highly compressed HD
content are detected and reduced ensuring
that the picture is clean and razor sharp.
Full HD LCD display 1920x1080p
Enjoy the exceptional picture quality of Full
High Definition TV signals of HD sources like
HDTV broadcast, or Blu-ray DVD. HD ready
1080p is a protected label that offers picture
quality far beyond that of ordinairy HD Ready.
It conforms to strict standards laid out by
EICTA to offer a Full HD screen that displays
the benefits of resolution and picture quality of
a Full HD 1920x1080p High Definition TV
signal. It has a universal connection for both
analog YPbPr and uncompressed Digital
connection of DVI or HDMI, supporting
HDCP. It can display 1080p progressive signals
at 24, 50 and 60Hz.
Perfect Natural Motion
Philips invented Perfect Natural Motion to
eliminate juddering effects that are visible with
movie based picture content. Perfect Natural
Motion estimates motion in the picture and
corrects juddering movements in both
broadcast and recorded movie material (such
as DVD and Blu-ray Disc). Perfect Natural
Motion results in even smoother and quieter
pictures with excellent sharpness. Perfect
Natural Motion removes judder from SD and
HD pictures, including 1080p movies and 24p
True Cinema, for a motion performance that
surpasses the cinema!
100Hz Clear LCD (2ms)
100Hz Clear LCD creates extreme motion
sharpness for clear and vibrant images even
wit h fa st on -s cre en mo tio n. Th e Do ub le Fra me
Rate Insertion works with a high 100Hz
refresh rate. It increases the sharpness of
motion reproduction to more than twice that
of conventional LCD, resulting in a
performance with a response time of 2
milliseconds (measured in Perceived BlurEdge-Width; BEW). This unique Philips
technology brings motion sharpness of LCD
displays to an unprecedented level.
2250 trillion color processing
Vibrant and natural images from most
advanced color processing. The 17 bit color
booster optimises each of the 3 color channels
(RGB) , a total processing power of 2250
trillion colors. It produces more vibrant colors
while retaining excellent sharpness. The
advanced algorithms detect skin tones and
subtle color shades, and processes these to
give most natural colors.
Dynamic contrast ratio 30000:1
You want the LCD flat display with the highest
contrast and most vibrant images. Philips
advanced video processing combined with
unique extreme dimming and backlight
boosting technology results in vibrant images.
Dynamic Contrast will increase the contrast
with excellent blacklevel and accurate
rendition of dark shades and colors. It gives a
bright, lifelike picture with high contrast and
vibrant colors.
4 HDMI inputs (3+1) + HDMI CEC
EasyLink uses the HDMI CEC industry
standard protocol to share functionality
between connected devices and the TV. With
Easylink only one remote control is needed to
operate main functionalities on your TV and
connected devices. HDMI makes an
uncompressed digital RGB connection from
the source to the screen for the ultimate
picture quality. HDMI uses HDCP copy
protection. With 3 HDMI inputs on the back
and 1 HDMI on the side of the TV you can
connect multiple HD sources, for instance an
HD settop box, a Blu-ray player, and Game
Console or Digital Camcorder.
