the world’s most efficient
under-canopy lighting
In today’s environment of continuous innovation, it’s not often
that a genuine breakthrough in technology is made. But that’s
exactly what the new Mini 300 is. Because instead of reducing
energy consumption by a few valuable percentage points,
the new Mini 300 slashes energy consumption by a massive 35%.
Add to that an unparalleled ‘daylight’ colour
rendering of Ra 96 and you can see just why
everyone is getting excited about the world’s most
efficient under-canopy luminaire yet invented.
Compare the new Mini 300 against the
current market leader, the

The Mini 300’s minute burners are reflected on

everything looks brighter, cleaner.
Easier cleaning
The luminaire is
sealed. Moreover it is jet and dust proof for easy
hose spray cleaning.
More mounting possibilities
The new Mini 300 can be recessed or surface-
mounted in the canopy, or on poles and walls.
Easy installation
Just one man, just 10 minutes. Simply hang the

Even though the Mini 300 is
competitively priced, we’ve used only the
best quality materials and manufacturing
processes. This ‘no-compromise’ construction
policy results in easy installation and
long-lasting performance.

Unique to Philips, the 3D concept directs light to selected
vertical planes so that fuel pumps and car sides are
illuminated well. Conventional lighting mainly directs light
downwards, without attention to ver tical surfaces.
As your customers approach the fuelling bay asymmetrical
beam spreads keep the light within your station’s
forecourt, accentuating your corporate image.
While at the fuel bay, the ver tical surfaces of the fuel
pumps are clearly illuminated. Everything is visible:
pumps, people, columns and cars.
Deep drawn aluminium housing
Improved safety – thanks to the tightly controlled
beam spread, there’s no glare from the burner
entering the driver’s eye on approach. So even at high
speeds, drivers can clearly see people filling up.

Daylight visibility
Even with less energy, the Mini 300 creates a bright
‘sunny’ atmosphere. That’s because the sparkling light
and its high colour rendering are directed to vertical
as well as horizontal surfaces. The result? People feel
more alert and even happier.
Upgrade to 35% less
The schemes to the right show how luminaires using
250/400W lamps can be replaced by Mini 300s with
150W lamps. More Mini 300s will be necessary in
some schemes but the dramatic wattage reduction
from 250/400W to 150W always results in an
overall 35+% energy saving.

brighten-up your approach areas
and extend your corporate image with
area lighting
The Mini 300 is cost competitive and highly economical
to run – so why not use its superb daylight quality to
brighten up your approach areas and parking lots?
The whole petrol station experience becomes brighter,
cleaner and more enjoyable. And from a distance, the
petrol station becomes a crystal clear landmark.
Improved safety
And it’s not just your corporate image you’ll be
improving. Because, by providing the same type of
light at the approach and departure areas as used
in the forecourt you also improve the visibility and
safety of your customers. Especially when your
lighting schemes gradually adapt the driver’s eye,
helping the driver to adjust from the ‘yellow’ road
lighting. On average lighting levels should be
approximately 10 to 12% of those used in the
forecourt, but depending on a variety of
parameters Philips can advise on the exact levels
to optimise driver comfort and safety.
More inviting, especially for women
Market research shows that up to 95% of all
women feel anxious at nighttime petrol stations,
perceiving them to be dark intimidating places. But
with better, more natural lighting such feelings are
substantially reduced, creating greater customer
loyalty from everyone.

The Mini300 system comes with a standard mounting block for
pole- and wall-mounting solutions.
The result? Easy ordering and easy installation.
The mounting blocks can also be customised. For example, the
standard T-junction that positions two Mini 300’s either side of a
pole can be extended up to 60cm on both sides.
The wall mounting brackets can also be similarly extended.
Together with the choice of beam spreads you are assured of
consistent uniform lighting throughout all areas of your petrol
station experience.
