Introduction

.

◗ With your new Satinelle Massage you can remove

unwanted hairs quickly and effectively in an extra­gentle way.

◗ The new active massaging system relaxes your skin

like a massage, thereby more effectively masking the
sensation of epilation. As a result, you will hardly
feel any pain.

◗ The rapidly rotating epilating discs catch even the

shortest hairs (even as short as half a millimetre!)
and quickly remove them by the root. As a result,
your skin stays smooth for up to four weeks and
regrowth is soft and downy.

Important

.

Read these instructions for use carefully before using the
appliance and save them for future reference.

◗ Check if the voltage indicated on the adapter

corresponds to the local mains voltage before you
connect the appliance.

◗ Only use the appliance in combination with the

adapter supplied.

◗ Do not use the appliance if the adapter or the

appliance itself is damaged.

◗ If the adapter is damaged, always have it replaced by

one of the original type in order to avoid a hazard.

◗ The adapter contains a transformer. Do not cut off

the adapter to replace it with another plug, as this
will cause a hazardous situation.

◗ Keep the appliance and the adapter dry.
◗ Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.
◗ To prevent damage and injuries, keep the running

appliance away from your hair, eyebrows, eyelashes,
clothes, threads, cords, brushes etc.

◗ The appliance contains two NiMH rechargeable

batteries that may harm the environment if not
disposed of properly.

◗ Do not use the epilating head on irritated skin or

skin with varicose veins, rashes, spots, moles (with
hairs) or wounds without consulting your doctor
first. People with a reduced immune response, e.g.
during pregnancy, or people who suffer from
diabetes mellitus, haemophilia or immunodeficiency
should also consult their doctor first.

Charging

.

The appliance can be run directly from the mains or it
can be used without the cord when the batteries have
been charged.

Charge the batteries at least 8 hours before using the
appliance to obtain up to 25 minutes of cordless epilating
time.

1 Make sure the appliance is switched off (fig. 1).

2 Insert the appliance plug into the inlet socket of the

appliance and put the adapter in the wall socket (fig.

2).

The charging light goes on and stays on so long as the
appliance is charging.

Epilating from the mains

.

The appliance can also be used from the mains.

◗ When the batteries are completely empty, connect

the appliance to the mains. Wait a few minutes
before switching the appliance on.

Using the appliance

.

General information about epilation and body puff

◗ Epilating with the Satinelle Massage will leave your

skin smooth and hair-free for weeks. As epilation
may cause skin irritation or ingrown hairs in some
women, we advise you to read the text below.

◗ When you use the appliance for the first time, we

advise you to try it out on an area with only light
hair growth to get accustomed to the epilation
process.

◗ Epilation is easier just after taking a bath or shower.

Make sure your skin is completely dry when you
start epilating.

◗ We advise you to epilate before going to bed at

night, as this will allow any skin irritation that may
develop to diminish overnight.

◗ Your skin may become a little red and irritated the

first few times you use the epilator. This
phenomenon is absolutely normal and will quickly
disappear. As you use the appliance more often,
your skin will get used to epilation, skin irritation
will decrease and regrowth will become thinner and
softer. If the irritation has not disappeared within
three days, we advise you to consult a doctor.

◗ After epilation you can apply a mild cream or body

milk to soothe your skin and reduce skin irritation.

◗ Use the exfoliating body puff in the shower. Regular

massages with the puff may help to prevent
ingrowing hairs. Do not use the puff immediately
before or after epilation.

◗ This appliance has been extensively tested on the

underarms and the bikini line. Some women will
develop skin irritation when they epilate these areas
for the first time. We therefore advise you to try
out the appliance on a small patch of skin first.

◗ We advise you to use the shaving head for the

underarms and bikini line.

How to use the Satinelle Massage

◗ Make sure your skin is clean, entirely dry and free

from grease. Do not use any cream before you start
epilating.

1 Switch the appliance on by pushing the on/off slide

to the desired speed setting:

- Select speed 1 for areas with little hair growth and for
areas where bones are located directly beneath the
skin, such as knees and ankles.

- Select speed 2 for larger areas with stronger hair
growth.

2 Place the epilating head perpendicularly onto the

skin so that the epilating head and massage element
are in proper contact with the skin and stretch the
skin with your free hand to make the hairs stand
upright (fig. 3).

Move the appliance slowly, with the massage element
pointing forwards, against the direction of hair growth.
Do not exert any pressure.

Shaving

You can use the shaving head to shave delicate body
parts, such as your underarms and bikini line. With the
shaving head you will obtain a smooth result in a
comfortable and gentle way.

1 Make sure the appliance is switched off.

2 Slide the massage element off the appliance with

your thumbs (fig. 4).

3 Remove the epilating head. Grab the epilating head

by the ribbed sections and move it in the direction
of the arrow indicated on the epilating head (fig. 5).

4 Place the shaving head on the appliance and move it

against the direction of the arrow indicated on the
shaving head until it snaps home (the arrow on the
shaving head will be in line with the arrow on the
body of the appliance) (fig. 6).

The shaving head can only be fitted onto the appliance in
one way.

5 Switch the appliance on and select speed 1.

6 Place the shaving head perpendicularly onto your

skin and move the appliance slowly and smoothly
against the direction of hair growth while pressing it
lightly.

Replacing the shaving head

If you use the shaving head two or more times a week,
replace the shaving foil (HP6115) and the cutter block
(HP2911) after one or two years or if these parts are
damaged.

Cleaning and maintenance

.

Regular cleaning guarantees the best results and a long life
for your appliance.

Do not use any corrosive detergents, scouring pads or
cloths, petrol, acetone etc. to clean the appliance.

1 Make sure the appliance is switched off and

unplugged.

2 Slide the massage element off the appliance with

your thumbs (fig. 4).

3 Remove the epilating head. Grab the epilating head

by the ribbed sections and move it in the direction
of the arrow indicated on the epilating head (fig. 5).

4 Clean all accessible parts and the epilating discs with

the brush (fig. 7).

Never try to remove the epilating discs from the
epilating head.

5 Put the epilating head back onto the appliance. The

arrow on the epilating head must be in line with the
arrow on the body of the appliance.

The epilating head can only be fitted onto the appliance
in one way.

Shaving head

1 Remove the shaving foil.

2 Clean the hair chamber and the cutter block with

the brush. Do not exert pressure on the shaving foil
to avoid damaging it (fig. 8).

◗ Rub a drop of sewing machine oil onto the trimmers

and shaving foil of the shaving head twice a year.

Storage

.

You can store the Satinelle Massage and its accessories in
the pouch supplied.

Environment

.

The built-in rechargeable batteries contain substances
that may pollute the environment.
Remove the batteries when you discard the appliance.
Do not throw the batteries away with the normal
household waste, but hand them in at an official
collection point. You can also take the appliance to a
Philips service centre, which will remove the batteries for
you and will dispose of them in an environmentally safe
way.

1 Remove the adapter from the wall socket and let

the appliance run until the batteries are empty.

2 Remove the epilating head (fig. 5).

3 Slide the massage element off the appliance.

4 Remove the type plate located under the epilating

head and the side panels from the appliance by
means of a screwdriver (fig. 9).

5 Hold the appliance between your hands with your

thumbs on either side of the parting line at the top
of the appliance and pull the two housing halves
apart with your thumbs until the snap connections
break. Remove the holder with the components
(motor, printed circuit board and batteries) from
the housing halves (fig. 10).

6 Pull the two oval-shaped batteries out of the holder

and twist them to break the wires (fig. 11).

7 Lift the motor out of the holder with a screwdriver

(fig. 12).

Do not try to reassemble the appliance in order to run it
from the mains. It would be dangerous to do so.

◗ Mit Ihrem neuen Epiliergerät Satinelle Massage

können Sie lästige Haare schnell, gründlich und
besonders sanft entfernen.

◗ Durch das neue Massagesystem entspannt sich Ihre

Haut wie bei einer Massage, und das Empfinden der
Epilation wird wirksam gedämpft.

◗ Die schnell rotierenden Pinzetten erfassen selbst die

kürzesten Härchen von nur einem halben Millimeter
Länge und entfernen sie rasch an der Wurzel.
Danach bleibt Ihre Haut bis zu 4 Wochen glatt. Die
nachwachsenden Härchen sind weich und fein.

Wichtig

.

Lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung vor dem ersten
Gebrauch des Geräts sorgfältig durch und bewahren Sie
sie zur späteren Einsichtnahme auf.

◗ Prüfen Sie vor dem Gebrauch, ob die

Spannungsangabe auf dem Gerät mit der örtlichen
Netzspannung übereinstimmt.

◗ Benutzen Sie das Gerät nur mit dem mitgelieferten

Netzteil.

◗ Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn das Netzteil

oder das Gerät selbst beschädigt oder defekt ist.

◗ Wenn das Netzteil defekt oder beschädigt ist, darf

es nur von einem Philips Service-Center oder einer
von Philips autorisierten Werkstatt durch ein
Original-Ersatznetzteil ausgetauscht werden, um ein
Sicherheitsrisiko zu vermeiden.

◗ Das Netzteil enthält einen Transformator. Aus

Sicherheitsgründen darf das Netzteil auf keinen Fall
abgeschnitten und durch einen anderen Stecker
ersetzt werden.

◗ Achten Sie darauf, dass Gerät und Netzteil nicht

nass werden.

◗ Halten Sie das Gerät außer Reichweite von Kindern.
◗ Halten Sie das eingeschaltete Gerät fern von

Kopfhaar, Wimpern und Augenbrauen, sowie von
Kleidung, Borsten, Fäden und Drähten.

◗ Das Gerät enthält zwei Nickel-Kadmium-Akkus, die

vorschriftsmäßig entsorgt werden müssen, um
Umweltschäden zu vermeiden.

◗ Verwenden Sie den Epilierkopf nicht, wenn die Haut

gereizt oder entzündet ist, auch nicht bei Pickeln,
Ausschlag und Wunden, bei Krampfadern oder
(behaarten) Muttermalen. Fragen Sie zuvor Ihren
Arzt. Gleiches gilt bei geschwächtem
Abwehrsystem, z. B. bei Diabetes mellitus
(Zuckerkrankheit), Schwangerschaft, Hämophilie
und Immunschwäche.

Die Akkus aufladen

.

Sie können das Gerät entweder direkt am Netz betreiben
oder kabellos bei aufgeladenen Akkus.
Laden Sie das Gerät vor Inbetriebnahme mindestens 8
Stunden lang auf. Sie können sich dann 25 Minuten lang
kabellos epilieren.

1 Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist

(Abb. 1).

2 Führen Sie den Gerätestecker in die Buchse im

Gerät und stecken Sie das Netzteil in eine
Steckdose (Abb. 2).

Die Ladelampe leuchtet während des Aufladens.

Epilieren am Netz

.

Sie können das Gerät auch am Netz betreiben.

◗ Sind die Akkus leer, schließen Sie das Gerät an das

Stromnetz an. Warten Sie einige Minuten, bevor Sie
das Gerät einschalten.

Benutzung des Geräts

.

Allgemeine Hinweise zur Epilation und Anwendung
des Peeling-Schwamms

◗ Nach der Epilation mit Satinelle Massage bleibt Ihre

Haut mehrere Wochen lang glatt. Da in manchen
Fällen Hautreizung oder eingewachsene Haare
auftreten können, lesen Sie bitte die nachstehenden
Hinweise.

◗ Wenn Sie das Gerät zum ersten Mal gebrauchen,

empfiehlt es sich, es zunächst an einer Stelle mit
geringer Behaarung auszuprobieren, damit Sie sich
an das Epilieren gewöhnen.

◗ Das Epilieren ist nach einem Dusch- oder Vollbad

am leichtesten. Achten Sie darauf, dass Ihre Haut
vor der Anwendung völlig trocken ist.

◗ Wir empfehlen das Epilieren vor dem Schlafengehen.

So kann gegebenenfalls auftretende Hautreizung
über Nacht zurückgehen.

◗ Nach den ersten Anwendungen kann es sein, dass

Ihre Haut leicht gerötet oder irritiert ist. Das sollte
sich aber bald legen, sobald Sie sich an die Epilation
gewöhnt haben und ihre Haare dünner und zarter
werden. Sollte die Hautirritation nicht innerhalb von
3 Tagen wieder verschwinden, konsultieren Sie
Ihren Arzt.

◗ Nach dem Epilieren können Sie eine milde Creme

oder Körperlotion auftragen, um eventuelle
Hautreizungen zu reduzieren.

◗ Benutzen Sie den Peeling-Schwamm unter der

Dusche. Durch regelmäßiges Massieren mit dem
Schwamm können Sie eingewachsenen Haaren
vorbeugen. Wenden Sie den Schwamm nicht
unmittelbar vor oder nach dem Epilieren an.

◗ Das Gerät wurde ausgiebig im Achsel- und

Bikinibereich getestet. Bei einigen Frauen kann es
jedoch beim erstmaligen Epilieren dieser Hautzonen
zu Hautreizungen kommen. Deshalb empfehlen wir,
das Gerät zuerst an einer kleinen Hautpartie
auszuprobieren.

◗ Im Achsel- und Bikinibereich sollten Sie den

Ladyshave-Aufsatz verwenden.

Die Anwendung von Satinelle Massage

◗ Ihre Haut muss sauber, fettfrei und völlig trocken

sein, wenn Sie das Gerät benutzen. Verwenden Sie
vor dem Epilieren keine Creme.

1 Schalten Sie das Gerät ein, indem Sie den Ein-

/Ausschalter auf die gewünschte Geschwindigkeit
stellen:

- Wählen Sie Geschwindigkeitsstufe 1 für Hautpartien
mit geringer Behaarung und direkt über Knochen, z. B.
Knie und Knöchel.

- Wählen Sie Geschwindigkeitsstufe 2 für größere
Hautpartien mit stärkerem Haarwuchs.

2 Setzen Sie den Epilierkopf senkrecht auf die Haut,

so dass Epilierkopf und Massage-Element Kontakt
zur Haut haben. Straffen Sie die Haut mit der freien
Hand, damit sich die Härchen aufrichten (Abb. 3).

Führen Sie das Gerät - mit dem Massage-Element nach
vorn - langsam gegen die Haarwuchsrichtung über die
Haut. Üben Sie dabei keinen Druck aus.

Rasieren

Zum Rasieren empfindlicher Hautpartien, z. B. Achsel­und Bikinibereich, können Sie den Ladyshave-Aufsatz
verwenden. Mit dem Ladyshave-Aufsatz erzielen Sie
bequem und sanft eine glatte Rasur.

1 Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist.

2 Schieben Sie das Massage-Element mit den Daumen

vom Gerät (Abb. 4).

3 Um den Epilierkopf vom Gerät zu nehmen, halten

Sie ihn an den geriffelten Flächen und ziehen Sie ihn
in Pfeilrichtung ab (Abb. 5).

4 Setzen Sie den Ladyshave-Aufsatz auf das Gerät und

schieben Sie ihn gegen die Pfeilrichtung, bis er
einrastet. Der Pfeil auf dem Scherkopf befindet sich
dann auf einer Linie mit dem Pfeil auf dem Gerät
(Abb. 6).

Der Ladyshave-Aufsatz lässt sich nur in einer Richtung
anbringen.

5 Schalten Sie das Gerät ein und wählen Sie

Geschwindigkeitsstufe 1.

6 Setzen Sie den Ladyshave-Aufsatz senkrecht auf die

Haut und führen Sie das Gerät langsam und unter
leichtem Druck gegen die Haarwuchsrichtung über
die Haut.

Den Ladyshave-Aufsatz austauschen

Wenn Sie den Ladyshave-Aufsatz mindestens zweimal
wöchentlich benutzen, sollten Sie die Scherfolie (HP6115)
und den Schermesserblock (HP2911) alle ein bis zwei
Jahre auswechseln - bzw. wenn diese Teile defekt sind.

Reinigung und Wartung

.

Regelmäßiges Reinigen gewährleistet optimale Ergebnisse
und verlängert die Lebensdauer des Geräts.

Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen keine scharfen Wasch-,
Spül­oder Scheuermittel bzw. Scheuerschwämme, auch keine
Lösungsmittel wie Alkohol, Azeton, Benzin usw.

1 Schalten Sie das Gerät aus und ziehen Sie das

Netzteil aus der Steckdose.

2 Schieben Sie das Massage-Element mit den Daumen

vom Gerät (Abb. 4).

3 Um den Epilierkopf vom Gerät zu nehmen, halten

Sie ihn an den geriffelten Flächen und ziehen Sie ihn
in Pfeilrichtung ab (Abb. 5).

4 Reinigen Sie alle zugänglichen Teile und die

Pinzetten mit der Bürste (Abb. 7).

Versuchen Sie nicht, die Epilierpinzetten vom Epilierkopf
abzunehmen.

5 Setzen Sie den Epilierkopf wieder auf das Gerät.

Der Pfeil am Epilierkopf muss in einer Linie mit dem
Pfeil am Gerät ausgerichtet sein.

Der Epilierkopf lässt sich nur in einer Richtung auf das
Gerät setzen.

Scherkopf

1 Nehmen Sie die Scherfolie heraus.

2 Reinigen Sie die Haarauffangkammer und den

Schermesserblock mit der Bürste. Üben Sie dabei
keinen Druck aus, um Beschädigungen der
Scherfolie zu vermeiden (Abb. 8).

◗ Reiben Sie alle 6 Monate einen Tropfen

Nähmaschinenöl auf Schermesser und Scherfolie des
Ladyshave-Aufsatzes.

Aufbewahrung

.

Sie können Satinelle Massage und alles Zubehör in der
mitgelieferten Tasche aufbewahren.

Umweltschutz

.

Die integrierten Akkus enthalten Substanzen, welche die
Umwelt gefährden können.
Entnehmen Sie die Akkus, bevor Sie das Gerät entsorgen.
Werfen Sie die Akkus nicht in den normalen Hausmüll,
sondern geben Sie sie an einer offiziellen Sammelstelle ab.
Sie können das Gerät auch an ein Philips Service Center
geben. Dort werden die Akkus entnommen und auf
umweltverträgliche Weise entsorgt.

1 Ziehen Sie das Netzteil aus der Steckdose und

lassen Sie das Gerät laufen, bis die Akkus leer sind.

2 Nehmen Sie den Epilierkopf vom Gerät ab (Abb. 5).

3 Schieben Sie das Massage-Element vom Gerät.

4 Entfernen Sie das Typenschild unter dem Epilierkopf

und die seitlichen Gehäuseteile des Geräts mit
einem Schraubendreher (Abb. 9).

5 Halten Sie das Gerät zwischen den Händen, mit den

Daumen an beiden Seiten der Trennungslinie oben
am Gerät, und ziehen Sie die Gehäusehälften mit
den Daumen auseinander, bis die
Schnappverbindungen zerbrechen. Nehmen Sie die
Halterung mit Motor, Platine und Akkus aus den
Gehäusehälften (Abb. 10).

6 Ziehen Sie die beiden ovalen Akkus aus der

Halterung und drehen Sie sie, bis die Drähte
abbrechen (Abb. 11).

7 Hebeln Sie den Motor mit einem Schraubendreher

aus der Halterung (Abb. 12).

Setzen Sie das Gerät nicht mehr zusammen, um es am
Netz zu betreiben. Das wäre sehr gefährlich.

Introduction

.

◗ Avec votre nouvel épilateur Satinelle Massage, vous

pouvez vous épiler rapidement et efficacement tout
en douceur.

◗ Le nouveau système actif de massage relaxe votre

peau comme au cours d'un massage, tout en
masquant la sensation d'épilation. La sensation de
douleur est ainsi pratiquement supprimée.

◗ Les disques rotatifs attrapent même les poils les plus

courts (un demi millimètre!) et les retirent à partir
de la racine. Votre peau sera douce et sans poils
pendant quatre semaines et le poil de repousse est
doux et fin.

Lisez les instructions du mode d'emploi avant d'utiliser
l'appareil et conservez-les pour un usage ultérieur.

◗ Avant de brancher l'appareil, vérifiez que la tension

indiquée sur l'adaptateur correspond à la tension de
votre secteur.

◗ Utilisez l'appareil uniquement avec l'adaptateur

fourni.

◗ N'utilisez pas l'appareil lorsque l'adaptateur ou

l'épilateur est endommagé.

◗ Si l'adaptateur est endommagé, pour plus de

sécurité et pour éviter tout accident, il ne doit être
remplacé que par un adaptateur d'origine.

◗ L'adaptateur a un transformateur. N'essayez pas de

remplacer l'adaptateur secteur par un autre pour
éviter tout accident.

◗ Assurez-vous que l'appareil et son adaptateur ne

sont pas en contact avec de l'eau.

◗ Tenez l'appareil hors de portée des enfants.
◗ Pour prévenir des dommages ou des blessures,

utilisez l'appareil à distance respectable des cheveux,
cils, sourcils, vêtements, fils, cordons, brosses etc.

◗ L'appareil contient des accumulateurs rechargeables

Nickel-Cadmium qui peuvent polluer
l'environnement s'ils ne sont pas déposés dans le
respect de l'environnement.

◗ N'utilisez pas l'appareil sur une peau irritée ou avec

des varices, tâches de vin (avec pilosités) ou autres
problèmes cutanés sans consulter votre médecin au
préalable. Les mêmes recommandations s'appliquent
aux personnes ayant des protections immunitaires
réduites, par exemple les femmes enceintes, les
diabétiques, les hémophiles ou les déficients
immunitaires.

Charge

.

L'appareil fonctionne branché directement à la prise de
courant ou sans fil lorsque les accumulateurs ont été
chargés.

Avant d'utiliser l'appareil, chargez les accumulateurs
pendant au moins 8 heures pour une autonomie de
fonctionnement de 25 minutes.

1 Assurez-vous que l'appareil est bien sur la position

arrêt (fig. 1).

L'appareil fonctionne également sur secteur.

◗ Lorsque les accumulateurs sont complètement

déchargés, branchez l'appareil sur la prise de
courant. Attendez quelques secondes avant de
mettre l'appareil en marche.

Epilation en général et l'éponge fleur exfoliante

◗ L'épilation avec Satinelle Massage laisse votre peau

douce et sans poils pendant plusieurs semaines.
Etant donné que l'épilation peut chez certaines
femmes provoquer une légère irritation de la peau
ou des poils incarnés, nous vous recommandons de
lire attentivement les recommandations ci-dessous.

◗ Quand vous utilisez l'appareil pour la première fois,

nous vous conseillons de commencer par un endroit
avec peu de croissance de poils de manière à vous
habituer à l'épilation.

◗ Les poils sont plus faciles à épiler après un bain ou

une douche. Mais votre peau doit être
complètement sèche durant l'épilation.

◗ Il est conseillé de s'épiler le soir, afin de laisser les

irritations disparaître pendant la nuit.

◗ Pendant les premières utilisations l'épilateur peut

provoquer un rougissement ou une irritation de la
peau. Il s'agit d'une réaction normale qui disparaîtra
rapidement. La gêne ressentie au début diminuera
graduellement à chaque utilisation car la repousse a
tendance à être plus douce au toucher. Cependant,
si l'irritation persiste plus de trois jours, consultez
votre médecin.

◗ Après utilisation, vous pouvez appliquer une crème

hydratante ou un lait corporel qui aidera à calmer la
peau et à réduire l'irritation.

◗ Utilisez l'éponge fleur exfoliante au douche.

L'utilisation régulière de l'éponge de massage en
forme de fleur réduit les poils incarnés. N'utilisez
pas l'éponge immédiatement avant ou après
l'épilation.

◗ L'appareil a été testé d'une manière exhaustive pour

les aisselles et la ligne du maillot. Certaines femmes
peuvent subir une irritation de la peau quand elles
utilisent l'appareil pour la première fois dans ces
zones corporelles. Nous vous recommandons
d'essayer d'abord l'appareil sur une petite portion
de peau.

◗ Utilisez le capot de rasage pour les aisselles et la

ligne du maillot.

Utilisation

◗ Assurez-vous que votre peau est propre, sans

graisse ni crèmes. N'appliquez aucune crème avant
l'épilation.

1 Mettez en marche l'appareil à l'aide du bouton

marche/arrêt en sélectionnant la vitesse désirée:

- Sélectionnez la vitesse 1 pour les zones où les poils
sont plus fins et pour les zones osseuses comme les
genoux et les chevilles.

- Sélectionnez la vitesse 2 pour des surfaces plus
grandes et des poils plus épais.

2 Placez la tête d'épilation perpendiculairement sur la

peau, afin que la tête d'épilation et l'élément de
massage soient en contact avec la peau et étirez la
peau avec votre main libre pour redresser les poils
