Important

Read this user manual carefully before you use the appliance and save it for future reference.

-Check if the mains voltage indicated on the adapter corresponds to the local mains voltage before you connect the appliance.

-Only use the adapter supplied.

-The adapter contains a transformer. Do not cut off the adapter to replace it with another plug, as this causes a hazardous situation.

-Do not use the appliance if the adapter or the appliance itself is damaged.

-If the adapter is damaged, always have it replaced with one of the original type in order to avoid a hazard.

-Make sure the adapter does not get wet.

-Charge, store and use the appliance at a temperature between 15°C and 35°C.

-Even though this appliance is washable, it is intended for dry use only. Do not use it in the shower or bath

-The appliance complies with the internationally approved IEC safety regulations and can be safely cleaned under the tap (Fig. 2).

-Do not immerse the appliance in water.

-Remove the appliance plug from the appliance before you clean the appliance under the tap.

-	Be careful with hot water. Always check if the water
	is not too hot, to prevent your hands from getting
	burnt.

-This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

-Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

-This appliance is only intended for trimming human hair. Do not use it for any other purpose.

-To prevent damage and injuries, keep the running appliance away from scalp hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, clothes, threads, cords, brushes etc.

Electromagnetic fields (EMF)

This Philips appliance complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). If handled properly and according to the instructions in this user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on scientific evidence available today.

Charging

It takes 12 hours to charge the appliance fully. When the appliance is fully charged, it has a cordless operating time of up to 35 minutes.

Do not leave the appliance connected to the mains for more than 24 hours.

1Make sure the appliance is switched off when you start to charge it.

2Insert the appliance plug into the appliance (Fig. 3).

3Insert the adapter into the wall socket.

,The charging light goes on (Fig. 4).

4If the battery is empty and you want to trim your bikini line, charge the appliance for at least 2 hours. The battery then has enough power for 10 minutes of trimming.

Optimising the lifetime of the battery

-When you first start to use the appliance, we advise you to use it until the battery is completely empty before you recharge it. Repeat this procedure 2 or 3 times.

-Discharge the battery completely twice a year by letting the motor run until it stops.

Using the appliance

Even though this appliance is washable, it is intended for dry use only. Do not use it in the shower or bath.

Remove the appliance plug from the appliance before you start to use it.

Do not press the appliance too firmly onto the skin and stretch the skin with your free hand during use.

Note: Do not move the appliance too fast. Make smooth and gentle movements.

Attaching and detaching attachments.

1To attach the attachment, put it on the appliance and push it home (‘click’). (Fig. 5)

2To detach the attachment, press the release buttons and remove the attachment (Fig. 6).

Trimming with the comb

Use the comb to trim your bikini line.

1Put the trimmer attachment on the appliance and put the comb on the trimmer attachment (‘click’).

2Slide the comb to the desired hair length setting (Fig. 7).

Start at the setting for maximum hair length (setting 4) to familiarise yourself with the trimmer attachment.

,The selected setting is shown on the display on the back of the comb (Fig. 8).

1Push the on/off slide upwards to switch on the appliance.

2Move the trimmer attachment against the direction of hair growth. Make sure the surface of the comb always stays in contact with the skin (Fig. 9).

3When you have finished trimming,press the release buttons on the comb and remove the comb.

Styling with the precision cutting element

To style your bikini line, hold the appliance with the teeth of the cutting element pointing towards your skin.

1Remove the comb and/or any attachment and put the trimmer attachment (without comb) on the appliance.

,Styling without the comb results in a hair length of approx. 1mm.

2Push the on/off slide upwards to switch on the appliance.

3Move the appliance towards the desired contour

of your bikini line.Touch the hair lightly with the precision cutting element.

You can be as creative as you like when you style your bikini line.You can even draw and cut out a template, for instance a heart shape, which you can use to create a personal style.

Shaving with the shaver attachment (HP6364/HP6362 only)

1Remove the comb and/or any attachment and put the shaver attachment on the appliance.

2Push the on/off slide upwards to switch on the appliance.

3Move the appliance with the teeth of the pretrimmer pointing forwards against the direction of hair growth to precut longer hairs (Fig. 10).

4Then turn the appliance so that the shaving foil points forwards to achieve a smooth shaving result (Fig. 11).

Epilating (HP6364 only)

Keep the epilator attachment away from water.

Consult your doctor before you use the epilator attachment on irritated skin or skin with varicose veins, rashes, spots, moles (with hairs) or wounds. People with a reduced immune response or people who suffer from diabetes mellitus,haemophilia or immunodeficiency should also consult their doctor first.

,Your skin may become a little red and irritated the first few times you use the epilator attachment.

This phenomenon soon disappears as your skin gets used to epilation and the hairs that grow back become thinner and softer. If the irritation does not disappear within 3 days, we advise you to consult your doctor.

1Remove the comb and/or any attachment and put the epilator attachment on the appliance.

2Place the appliance perpendicularly onto the skin so that the epilator attachment is in proper contact with the skin.

3Stretch the skin with your free hand to make the hairs stand upright.

4To epilate your bikini line, move the appliance slowly against the direction of hair growth (Fig. 12).

Do not exert any pressure.

Cleaning and maintenance

Never use scouring pads, abrasive cleaning agents or aggressive liquids such as petrol or acetone to clean the appliance.

You can also clean the appliance and the attachments, except for the epilator attachment, under the tap.

1Switch off the appliance, pull the adapter out of the wall socket and pull the appliance plug out of the appliance.

2Remove any attachments and clean the appliance and the attachments.

Cleaning the precision cutting element and the comb

1Pull the precision cutting element in the direction of the arrow to remove it (Fig. 13).

2Clean the precision cutting element, the cavity under the precision cutting element and the comb with the brush supplied or under the tap.

3Insert the hook of the cutting element into the slot in the cavity and push the cutting element back onto the appliance (‘click’) (Fig. 14).

Cleaning the shaver attachment

1Pull the foil frame in the direction of the arrow to remove it (Fig. 15).

2Clean the cutter and its surroundings and the cavity in the foil frame carefully with the brush or under the tap (Fig. 16).

Cleaning the epilator attachment

Never try to remove the epilating discs from the epilator attachment.

Do not clean the epilator attachment under the tap.

,Epilation can lead to ingrown hairs or minor skin injuries,which may cause inflammations due to penetration of bacteria into the skin. It is therefore important to clean the epilator attachment thoroughly after each use.

1Switch off the appliance, remove the epilator attachment and clean all accessible parts and the epilating discs with the cleaning brush. (Fig. 17)

Maintenance

1Lubricate the shaving foil, the cutter of the shaver attachment and the precision cutting element with a drop of sewing machine oil twice a year.

Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling (Fig. 18).

The built-in rechargeable battery contains substances that may pollute the environment. Always remove the battery before you discard and hand in the appliance at an official collection point. Dispose of the battery at an official collection point for batteries.

If you have trouble removing the battery, you can also take the appliance to a Philips service centre.The staff of this centre will remove the battery for you and will dispose of it in an environmentally safe way.

Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let the appliance run until the motor stops.

Remove the screws with a screwdriver (Fig. 19). Remove both release buttons (Fig. 20).

Insert a screwdriver between the two housing halves and pry them apart (Fig. 21).

Separate the motor from the battery housing (Fig. 22).

Remove the battery unit from the battery housing (Fig. 23).

Remove the battery from the plastic part with a screwdriver. (Fig. 24)

Do not connect the appliance to the mains again after you have removed the battery.

Wichtig

Lesen Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung vor dem Gebrauch des Geräts aufmerksam durch und bewahren Sie sie für eine spätere Verwendung auf.

-Prüfen Sie, bevor Sie das Gerät in Betrieb nehmen, ob die Spannungsangabe auf dem Adapter mit der örtlichen Netzspannung übereinstimmt.

-Verwenden Sie ausschließlich den mitgelieferten Adapter.

Elektromagnetische Felder (EMF;Electro

Magnetic Fields)

Dieses Philips Gerät erfüllt sämtliche Normen bezüglich elektromagnetischer Felder (EMF). Nach aktuellen wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen ist das Gerät sicher im Gebrauch, sofern es ordnungsgemäß und entsprechend den Anweisungen in dieser Bedienungsanleitung gehandhabt wird.

Laden

Das vollständige Laden des Geräts dauert 12 Stunden. Das voll aufgeladene Gerät hat eine kabellose Betriebsdauer von ca. 35 Minuten.

Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht länger als 24 Stunden ununterbrochen am Netz.

1Achten Sie darauf, dass das Gerät ausgeschaltet ist, wenn Sie mit dem Laden beginnen.

2Stecken Sie den Gerätestecker in das Gerät (Abb. 3).

3Stecken Sie den Adapter in die Steckdose.

,Die Ladeanzeige leuchtet auf (Abb. 4).

4Wenn der Akku leer ist und Sie die Bikinizone rasieren möchten, laden Sie das Gerät vorher mindestens 2 Stunden lang auf. Dann können Sie 10 Minuten mit dem Gerät arbeiten.

Die Lebensdauer des Akkus optimieren

-Es empfiehlt sich, das Gerät bei der ersten

Inbetriebnahme so lange zu benutzen, bis der Akku leer ist, bevor Sie ihn wieder aufladen.Wiederholen

Sie diesen Vorgang zweioder dreimal nacheinander.

-Entladen Sie den Akku zweimal pro Jahr vollständig, indem Sie das Gerät so lange laufen lassen, bis es zum Stillstand kommt.

Das Gerät benutzen

Obwohl dieses Gerät abwaschbar ist, ist es nur für den Trockengebrauch vorgesehen. Benutzen Sie es nicht in der Dusche oder Badewanne.

Ziehen Sie den Gerätstecker aus dem Gerät, bevor Sie es benutzen.

Drücken Sie das Gerät nicht zu fest auf die Haut. Straffen Sie die Haut während der Anwendung mit der freien Hand.

Hinweis: Gehen Sie langsam mit ruhigen und kontrollierten Bewegungen vor.

Die Aufsätze befestigen und abnehmen

1Zum Befestigen des Aufsatzes setzen Sie ihn auf das Gerät, bis er hörbar einrastet. (Abb. 5)

2Zum Abnehmen des Aufsatzes drücken Sie die Entriegelungstasten und nehmen Sie den Aufsatz ab (Abb. 6).

Mit dem Kamm schneiden

Verwenden Sie den Kamm zum Schneiden der Haare im Bikinibereich.

1Setzen Sie den Schneideaufsatz auf das Gerät und den Kamm auf den Schneideaufsatz, bis dieser hörbar einrastet.

2Schieben Sie den Kamm in die gewünschte Schnittlängeneinstellung (Abb. 7).

Beginnen Sie mit der höchsten Haarlängeneinstellung (4), um sich mit dem Gerät vertraut zu machen.

,Die gewählte Einstellung wird auf dem Display an der Rückseite des Kamms angezeigt (Abb. 8).

1Schieben Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter nach oben, um das Gerät einzuschalten.

2Führen Sie den Schneideaufsatz gegen die Haarwuchsrichtung.Achten Sie darauf, dass der Kamm stets in Kontakt mit der Haut bleibt (Abb. 9).

3Drücken Sie die Entriegelungstasten am Kamm und entfernen Sie diesen, sobald Sie mit dem Schneiden der Haare fertig sind.

Stylen mit der Präzisions-Schneideeinheit

Halten Sie zum Stylen Ihrer Bikinizone das Gerät so, dass die Zähne der Schneideeinheit zur Haut hin zeigen.

1Nehmen Sie den Kamm bzw.Aufsatz ab und setzen Sie den Schneideaufsatz (ohne Kamm) auf das Gerät.

,Beim Stylen ohne Kamm wird eine Haarlänge von ca. 1 mm erzielt.

2Schieben Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter nach oben, um das Gerät einzuschalten.

3Führen Sie das Gerät in Richtung der gewünschten Kontur der Bikinizone. Berühren Sie dabei das Haar leicht mit der Präzisions-Schneideeinheit.

Sie können beim Stylen Ihrer Kreativität freien Lauf lassen. Sie können sogar eine Schablone zeichnen und ausschneiden (z. B. ein Herz), die Sie dann für Ihr persönliches Styling verwenden können.

Mit dem Ladyshave-Aufsatz

(nur HP6364/HP6362) rasieren

1Nehmen Sie den Kamm bzw.Aufsatz ab und setzen Sie den Ladyshave-Aufsatz auf das Gerät.

2Schieben Sie den Ein-/Ausschalter nach oben, um das Gerät einzuschalten.

3Führen Sie das Gerät so, dass die Zähne des Vorschneiders nach vorne, entgegen der Haarwuchsrichtung zeigen, um längere Haare vorzuschneiden (Abb. 10).

4Drehen Sie anschließend das Gerät so, dass die Scherfolie nach vorne zeigt, um eine glatte Rasur zu erzielen (Abb. 11).

Epilieren (nur HP6364)

Halten Sie den Epilieraufsatz von Wasser fern.

Wenn die Haut gereizt oder entzündet ist, konsultieren Sie vor Verwendung des Epilieraufsatzes Ihren Arzt. Gleiches gilt bei Pickeln,Ausschlag und Wunden, bei Krampfadern oder (behaarten) Muttermalen.Auch Patienten mit geschwächter Immunabwehr, Diabetes, Hämophilie und Immunschwäche sollten zuvor ihren Arzt konsultieren.

,Bei den ersten Anwendungen des Epilieraufsatzes kann eine leichte Rötung oder Reizung der Haut auftreten. Dies wird schnell abklingen, sobald sich Ihre Haut an das Epilieren gewöhnt hat.Auch sind die nachwachsenden Haare weicher und feiner. Hält die Reizung jedoch länger als drei Tage an, sollten Sie Ihren Arzt konsultieren.

1Nehmen Sie den Kamm bzw.Aufsatz ab und setzen Sie den Epilieraufsatz auf das Gerät.

2Setzen Sie das Gerät senkrecht auf die Haut auf, so dass der Epilieraufsatz immer Kontakt mit der Haut hat.

3Straffen Sie die Haut mit der freien Hand, damit sich die Haare aufrichten.

4Zum Epilieren der Bikinizone führen Sie das Gerät

langsam gegen die Haarwuchsrichtung über die Haut (Abb. 12).

Üben Sie dabei keinerlei Druck aus.

Reinigung und Wartung

Benutzen Sie zum Reinigen des Geräts keine Scheuerschwämme und -mittel oder aggressive Flüssigkeiten wie Benzin oder Azeton.

Sie können das Gerät und die Aufsätze, mit Ausnahme des Epilieraufsatzes, auch unter fließendemWasser reinigen.

1Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, ziehen Sie den Adapter aus der Steckdose und den Gerätestecker vom Gerät.

2Nehmen Sie alle Aufsätze ab und reinigen Sie Gerät und Aufsätze.

1Ziehen Sie die Präzisions-Schneideeinheit in Pfeilrichtung ab (Abb. 13).
