Vertical steam :
When the iron is kept at vertical position, the S.O.S.
button can be used to iron hanging fabrics.
Self clean function :
When the self-clean button is pushed, a sudden flow of
water is released from the tank to the soleplate. This
thermal shock will lossen water scale particles of the
steam chamber. These particles are thus flushed out
through the steam vents.
Anti drip :
Water will only be released through the tank valve into
the steam chamber if the soleplate temperature is high
enough to evaporate all water. If the temperature is not
high enough, the tank valve is thus closed by the bimetal disc and water bellow.
Auto shut off :
A relay in the electronic module will interrupt the power
of the heating element if the iron has been motionless:
- for 30 seconds and in a horizontal position.
- for 8 minutes and in a vertical position
For the 220-240V version, a sound signal will be heard,
when the iron is moved again, the heating power will be
switched on again.
Note: When the iron is plugged in and in a horizontal
position, it will not be switched off during the first 2
minutes to ensure the iron is heated up properly.
Real off function :
The movement of the thermostatís bi-metal is limited in
downward direction thus will prevent the thermostat
contacts from closing at room temperature at MIN setting.
