How to bake nice crispy waffles
Making batter
- Make the batter as indicated in the recipes in
these instructions for use or in the separate
recipes booklet.
Note: For the best results, allow the batter to
swell for half an hour before baking.
Pre-heating
- Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
- Select the required baking temperature.
Please note: the results (browning, crispiness)
depend on the baking temperature as well as
the duration of the baking and the quality of the
batter!
- The waffle iron should be kept in the closed
position to allow the appliance to pre-heat for
about 5 minutes. When the pilot light goes out,
the appliance is ready for use.
- Apply some butter or oil to the surface of the
hotplates using a brush.
Baking
- Pour about 150 ml of the batter onto the bottom
baking plate.
- Close the waffle maker, pressing the baking
plates together.
- After 2-3 minutes the waffle will be ready.
(The baking time depends on the thickness of
the batter.)
- Open the waffle maker and take the waffles
from the baking plate using a wooden spatula.
- Let the waffles cool down on a wire rack so that
they become crispy.
• Longer cooking times and higher temperatures
will result in darker waffles, whereas shorter
cooking times and lower temperatures will give
lighter results.
• The built-in thermostat switches the heating
elements on and off to maintain the set cooking
temperature. When the pilot light is on the
cooking plates are being heated.
