-- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

-- Do not point the hose, the tube or any other accessory at the eyes or ears nor put it in your mouth when it is connected to the vacuum cleaner and the vacuum cleaner is switched on.

Caution

-- Do not suck up large objects as this may cause the air passage in the tube or hose to become obstructed.

-- When you use the appliance to vacuum ashes, fine sand, lime, cement dust and similar substances, the pores of the dustbag become clogged.As a result, the dustbag-full indicator will indicate that the dustbag is full. Replace the dustbag, even if it is not full yet (see chapter ‘Replacement’).

-- Never use the appliance without a dustbag or the motor protection filter.This damages the motor and shortens the life of the appliance.

-- Only use Philips s-bag® synthetic dustbags.

-- During vacuum cleaning, especially in rooms with low air humidity,  your vacuum cleaner builds up static electricity.As a result you can experience electric shocks when you touch the tube or other steel parts of your vacuum cleaner.These shocks are not harmful to you and do not damage the appliance.To reduce this inconvenience we advise you:

1to discharge the appliance by frequently holding the tube against other metal objects in the room (for example the legs of a table or chair, a radiator etc.) (Fig. 2)

2to raise the air humidity level in the room by placing water in the room. For example, you can hang containers filled with water from your radiators or place bowls filled with water on or near your radiators (Fig. 3).

Electromagnetic fields (EMF)

This Philips appliance complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic fields (EMF). If handled properly and according to the instructions in this user manual, the appliance is safe to use based on scientific evidence available today.

Preparing for use

Hose

1To connect the hose,push it into the appliance (1) and turn it clockwise (2) (Fig. 4).

Note:To disconnect the hose,turn it anticlockwise and pull it out of the appliance.

Telescopic tube with extension tube

1To connect the extension tube to the bottom part of the telescopic tube,insert the narrow section into wider section and turn a little.

Note:To disconnect the tube parts from each other,pull and turn a little.

2 To connect the tube to the handgrip of the hose, insert the narrow section into the wider section and turn a little (Fig. 5).

Note:To disconnect the tube from the handgrip,pull and turn a little.

3To adjust the length of the tube to the length you find most comfortable during vacuuming, push the slide on the tube upwards (1) and push the upper tube part downwards or pull it upwards (2) (Fig. 6).

Nozzles

Connecting a nozzle to the tube

1 To connect a nozzle to the tube, insert the tube into the nozzle and turn a little (Fig. 7).

Note:To disconnect a nozzle from the tube,pull and turn a little.

Combination nozzle with 2 rocker switches

You can use the combination nozzle on carpet (with the brush strips folded in) or on hard floors (with the brush strips folded out).

-- To clean hard floors, push the rocker switch on top of the combination nozzle with your foot to make the brush strips come out of the nozzle housing (Fig. 8).

-- To clean carpet, push the rocker switch on the other side to make the brush strips disappear into the housing (Fig. 9).

Small nozzle,crevice nozzle and brush nozzle

1Connect the small nozzle,crevice nozzle or brush nozzle directly to the handgrip or to the tube (Fig. 10).

1 Crevice nozzle: use this nozzle to clean narrow corners or hard-to-reach places. 2 Small nozzle: use this nozzle to clean small areas, e.g. the seats of chairs and sofas.

3Brush nozzle: use this nozzle to clean computers, bookshelves etc.

Using the appliance

Vacuum cleaning

-- You can carry the vacuum cleaner by the handle at the front or on top of the appliance (Fig. 11).

1 Pull the mains cord out of the appliance and put the mains plug in the wall socket.

2Press the on/off button on top of the appliance with your foot to switch on the appliance (Fig. 12).

-- If you want to pause for a moment, insert the ridge on the nozzle into the parking slot to park the tube in a convenient position (Fig. 13).

Note:To ensure stable parking of the telescopic tube,adjust the tube to the shortest length.

3 To switch off the appliance,press the on/off button again.

Adjusting suction power

-- You can adjust the suction power with the electronic suction power control on the vacuum cleaner (Fig. 14).

Cleaning

Always switch off and unplug the appliance before you remove and clean any parts.

Do not clean any part of the vacuum cleaner in the dishwasher.If necessary,clean the parts with a damp cloth.

Clean the appliance with a damp cloth.

Cleaning the permanent motor protection filter

Clean the permanent motor protection filter every time you replace the dustbag.

1 Pull at the cover release tab (1) and open the cover (2) (Fig. 15). 2 Pull the clamps aside (1) and pull the dustbag forward (2) (Fig. 16). 3 Lift the dustbag out of the appliance. (Fig. 17)

Make sure you hold the dustbag upright when you lift it out of the appliance. 4 Pull the motor protection filter holder forwards to release it (Fig. 18). 5 Remove the motor protection filter from filter holder.

6 Shake the motor protection filter over a dustbin to clean it.

7 Put the clean filter back into the filter holder.

8Fit the two lugs at the bottom of the filter holder into the brackets (1).Then press the filter holder home (‘click’) (2). (Fig. 19)

9 Place the bottom edge of the dustbag in front of the ridge on the bottom of the appliance

(1).Pull the cardboard front of the dustbag towards you (‘click’) (2). (Fig. 20)

Note:If no dustbag has been inserted,you cannot close the cover.

Replacement

Dustbag

Tip:We advise you to clean the motor protection filter every time you replace the dustbag (see chapter ‘Cleaning’).

Always unplug the appliance before you replace the dustbag.

Before replacing the dustbag

In some cases, the dustbag-full indicator can indicate that the dustbag is full, even though it is not. This may occur if the pores of the dustbag are clogged (e.g. when you have vacuumed ashes, fine sand, lime, cement dust and similar substances) or if something is blocking the nozzle, tube and/or hose. If the pores of the dustbag are clogged, you have to replace the dustbag, even if it is not full yet. If the dustbag is not clogged but not full either, something is blocking the nozzle, tube and/or hose. In this case, do not replace the dustbag but remove the obstruction.

Replacing the dustbag

-- Replace the dustbag as soon as the dustbag-full indicator has changed colour permanently, i.e. even when the nozzle is not placed on the floor (Fig. 21).

1 Pull at the cover release tab (1) and open the cover (2) (Fig. 15). 2 Pull the clamps aside (1) and pull the dustbag forward (2) (Fig. 16).

3 Pull the cardboard tag upwards to lift the dustbag out of the appliance. (Fig. 17) ,, The dustbag is sealed automatically.

4 Place the bottom edge of the new dustbag in front of the ridge on the bottom of the appliance (1).Pull the cardboard front of the dustbag towards you (‘click’) (2) (Fig. 22).

Note:If no dustbag has been inserted,you cannot close the cover.

5Close the cover.

CleanAir HEPA outlet filter

Your vacuum cleaner is equipped with a Clean Air HEPA outlet filter (service code 4222 459 48841).

Replace the Clean Air HEPA outlet filter every 12 months.

1 Switch off and unplug the appliance.

2 Pull at the grip on the filter grille (1) and remove it from the appliance (2) (Fig. 23). 3 Remove the CleanAir HEPA outlet filter from the appliance (Fig. 24).

4 Insert a new CleanAir HEPA outlet filter into the appliance (Fig. 25). 5 Reattach the filter grille to the appliance (‘click’) (Fig. 26).

Storage

1 Switch off the appliance and remove the mains plug from the wall socket. 2 Press the cord rewind button to rewind the mains cord.

3Put the appliance in upright position.To attach the nozzle to the appliance,insert the ridge on the nozzle into the storage slot (Fig. 27).

Note: To ensure stable storage of the telescopic tube,adjust the tube to the shortest length.

-- Philips Classic s-bag® synthetic dustbags are available under type number FC8021.

Environment

-- Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste at the end of its life, but hand it in at an official collection point for recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment (Fig. 28).

-- Selama menyedot debu, khususnya di ruangan yang berkelembapan rendah, penyedot debu Anda akan menghasilkan listrik statis.Akibatnya Anda dapat mengalami kejutan listrik saat menyentuh pipa atau komponen lain yang terbuat dari baja pada penyedot debu. Kejutan ini tidak membahayakan Anda dan tidak merusak alat. Untuk mengurangi ketidaknyamanan ini, kami sarankan Anda:

1menghilangkan muatan listrik pada alat dengan sering-sering menempelkan pipa pada benda

2menaikkan tingkat kelembapan udara dalam ruangan dengan meletakkan air di ruangan. Misalnya, Anda dapat menggantung wadah berisi air dari pemanas ruangan atau meletakkan mangkuk berisi air pada atau di dekat pemanas ruangan (Gbr. 3).

Medan elektromagnet (EMF)

Alat Philips ini mematuhi semua standar yang berkenaan dengan medan elektromagnet (EMF). Jika ditangani dengan benar dan sesuai dengan instruksi petunjuk pengguna ini, alat tersebut aman digunakan berdasarkan pada bukti ilmiah yang kini tersedia.

Persiapan penggunaan

Selang

1Untuk memasang selangnya,tekan ke alat (1) dan putar searah jarum jam (2) (Gbr. 4).

Catatan:Untuk melepas selangnya,putar berlawanan arah jarum jam hingga lepas dari alat.

Pipa teleskopik dengan pipa sambungan

1Untuk memasang pipa sambungan ke bagian bawah pipa teleskopik,masukkan bagian yang sempit ke bagian yang lebih lebar dan putar sedikit.

Catatan:Untuk melepas komponen pipa satu sama lain,tarik dan putar sedikit.

2 Untuk memasang pipa ke pegangan pada selang, masukkan bagian yang sempit ke bagian yang lebih lebar dan putar sedikit (Gbr. 5).

Catatan:Untuk melepas pipa dari pegangannya,tarik dan putar sedikit.

3Untuk menyesuaikan panjang pipa agar senyaman mungkin selama menyedot debu,tekan sakelar pada pipa ke atas (1) dan tekan bagian pipa atas ke bawah atau tarik ke atas (2) (Gbr. 6).

Nozel

Menghubungkan nozel ke pipa

1 Untuk menghubungkan nozel ke pipa, masukkan pipa ke nozel dan putar sedikit (Gbr. 7).

Catatan:Untuk melepas nozel dari pipanya,tarik dan putar sedikit.

Nozel kombinasi dengan 2 sakelar jungkit

Anda dapat menggunakan nozel kombinasi pada karpet (dengan strip sikat yang terlipat masuk) atau pada lantai keras (dengan strip sikat terlipat keluar).

-- Untuk membersihkan lantai keras, tekan sakelar jungkit di atas nozel kombinasi dengan kaki Anda agar strip sikat keluar dari rumah nozel (Gbr. 8).

-- Untuk membersihkan karpet, tekan sakelar jungkit di sisi satunya agar strip sikat masuk ke rumah nozel (Gbr. 9).

Nozel kecil,nozel celah,dan nozel sikat

1Hubungkan nozel kecil,nozel celah atau nozel sikat secara langsung ke pegangan atau ke pipa (Gbr. 10).

1 Nozel celah: gunakan nozel ini untuk membersihkan sudut yang sempit atau tempat yang sulit dijangkau.

2Nozel kecil: gunakan nozel ini untuk membersihkan area yang kecil, misalnya tempat duduk di

kursi dan sofa.

3Nozel sikat: gunakan nozel ini untuk membersihkan komputer, rak buku, dsb.

Menggunakan alat

Menyedot debu

-- Anda dapat membawa penyedot debu melalui gagang di bagian depan atau bagian atas alat (Gbr. 11).

1 Tarik keluar kabel listrik dari alat dan tancapkan steker listrik di stopkontak dinding.

2 Tekan tombol on/off di bagian atas alat dengan kakiAnda untuk menghidupkan alat (Gbr. 12).

-- Jika Anda ingin berhenti sejenak, sisipkan bubungan pada nozel ke dalam slot penahan untuk memarkir pipa pada posisi yang nyaman (Gbr. 13).

Catatan:Untuk memastikan pipa teleskopik diparkir dengan stabil,sesuaikan pipa dengan panjang terpendeknya.

3 Untuk mematikan alat,tekan lagi tombol on/off.

Menyesuaikan daya isap

-- Anda dapat menyesuaikan daya isap dengan kontrol daya isap elektronik pada penyedot debu (Gbr. 14).

Membersihkan

Selalu matikan alat dan cabut stekernya sebelumAnda melepaskan dan membersihkan komponen apa pun.

Jangan bersihkan komponen apa pun pada penyedot debu dalam mesin cuci piring.Jika perlu, bersihkan komponennya dengan kain lembap.

Bersihkan alat dengan kain lembap.

Membersihkan filter pelindung motor permanen

Bersihkan filter pelindung motor permanen setiap kali Anda mengganti kantong debu.

1 Tekan tab pelepas tutupnya (1) dan buka tutupnya (2) (Gbr. 15).

2 Tarik penjepit ke samping (1) dan tarik kantong debu ke depan (2) (Gbr. 16). 3 Angkat kantong debu dari alat. (Gbr. 17)

PastikanAnda memegang kantong debu tegak lurus bila Anda mengangkatnya dari alat. 4 Tarik filter pelindung motor ke depan untuk melepasnya (Gbr. 18).

5 Lepaskan filter pelindung motor dari penahan filter.

6 Guncang-guncangkan filter pelindung motor di atas tempat sampah untuk membersihkannya. 7 Masukkan kembali filter yang telah bersih ke penahan filter.

Pengganti

Kantong debu

Tip:Kami sarankan Anda membersihkan filter pelindung motor setiap kali Anda mengganti kantong debu (lihat bab‘Membersihkan’).

Cabutlah selalu steker alat sebelumAnda mengganti kantong debu.

Sebelum mengganti kantong debu

Kadang-kadang, indikator kantong debu penuh menandakan bahwa kantong debu telah penuh, meskipun sebenarnya tidak. Ini dapat terjadi jika pori-pori kantong debu tersumbat (mis. setelah menyedot abu, pasir halus, kapur, debu semen, dan bahan sejenis) atau jika ada sesuatu yang menyumbat nozel, pipa, dan/atau selang. Jika pori-pori kantong debu tersumbat,Anda harus mengganti kantong debu, sekalipun belum penuh. Jika kantong debu tidak tersumbat tapi juga tidak penuh, berarti ada sesuatu yang menyumbat nozel, pipa, dan/atau selang. Dalam hal ini, jangan ganti kantong debunya melainkan singkirkan yang menyumbatnya.

Mengganti kantong debu

-- Gantilah kantong debu bila indikator kantong debu penuh telah berubah warna secara permanen, misalnya, sekalipun nozel tidak diletakkan di atas lantai (Gbr. 21).

1 Tekan tab pelepas tutupnya (1) dan buka tutupnya (2) (Gbr. 15).

2 Tarik penjepit ke samping (1) dan tarik kantong debu ke depan (2) (Gbr. 16).

3 Tarik tag karton ke atas untuk mengangkat kantong debu dari alat. (Gbr. 17) ,, Kantong debu tersegel secara otomatis.

4 Pasang tepi bawah kantong debu baru di depan tonjolan di bagian bawah alat (1).Tarik karton di bagian depan kantong debu ke arahAnda (hingga berbunyi‘klik’) (2) (Gbr. 22).

Catatan:Jika tidak ada kantong debu yang dimasukkan,Anda tidak dapat menutupnya.

5Rapatkan penutupnya.

Filter keluaran Udara Bersih HEPA

Penyedot debu Anda dilengkapi filter keluaran Udara Bersih HEPA (kode servis 4222 459 48841). Gantilah filter keluaran Udara Bersih HEPA setiap 12 bulan.

1 Matikan dan cabut alat dari stopkontak.

2 Tarik pada pegangan di kisi filter (1) dan lepaskan dari alat (2) (Gbr. 23).

3 Keluarkan filter keluaran Udara Bersih HEPA dari alat (Gbr. 24).

4 Masukkan filter keluaran Udara Bersih HEPA yang baru ke dalam alat (Gbr. 25). 5 Pasang kembali kisi filter ke alat (hingga berbunyi‘klik’) (Gbr. 26).

Penyimpanan

1 Matikan alat dan lepaskan steker listrik dari stopkontak dinding.

2 Tekan tombol penggulung kabel untuk menggulung kabel listrik.

3Letakkan alat dalam posisi tegak.Untuk memasang nozel ke alat,masukkan tonjolan pada nozel ke slot penyimpanan (Gbr. 27).

Catatan: Untuk memastikan penyimpanan pipa teleskopik yang stabil,atur tabung ke panjang terpendeknya.

Aksesori

Kantong debu

-- Kantong debu sintetis Philips Classic s-bag® tersedia dengan nomor tipe FC8021.

Filter keluaran Udara Bersih HEPA
