Product highlights

IP services

With IP network, you can access high quality services like interactive TV, broadcast and multicast TV, and audio and video on demand. These services are dependent on the provider.

Free-to-Air access

Channels can be received without paying a subscription or fee.

Access to Pay TV services

More and more top quality content are being broadcasted these days, but the only way to access these premium channels is to subscribe to the services from the local Pay-TV operators. Insert the operator's smart card into the set top box, and it will descramble the encrypted signals that are being broadcasted by the Pay-TV operators.

Automatic installation

A very sensitive tuner is searching the band overnight for new channels with great sensitivity and speed, thanks to unique Philips technology.

MPEG4 HD TV

Enjoy the exceptional picture quality of a true High Definition TV signal brought to your HD TV set. HD ready is a protected label that offers picture quality beyond that of progressive scan. It conforms to strict standards laid out by EICTA to offer a HD screen that displays the benefits of resolution and picture quality of a High Definition TV signal. It has a universal connection for both analogue YPbPr and uncompressed Digital connection of DVI or HDMI, supporting HDCP. It can generate 720p, and/or 1080i signals at 50 and 60Hz.

High Definition programmes

As TV programmes are starting to be broadcasted in High Definition standard, only a HD receiver is capable of receiving these signals. Compared to the standard definition programs, which are at 576 pixels, High Definition programmes have a picture quality of 1080 pixels, bringing a much sharper and more vibrant image onto the screen.

HDMI output

HDMI is a direct digital connection that can carry digital HD video as well as digital multichannel audio. By eliminating the conversion to analogue signals it delivers perfect picture and sound quality, completely free from noise. HDMI is fully backward-compatible with DVI.
