With this micro hi-fi , you can enjoy music from Philips GoGear player and other connected external audio device, or listen to radio stations. The micro hi-fi offers you multiple sound effect settings that enrich sound with Digital Sound Control (DSC) and Dynamic Bass Boost (DBB). The powerful speakers of the micro hi-fi bring you rich sound experience.

Placement
Place on a fl at surface
Before you place the micro hi-fi on a fl at surface, attach the supplied stand.
1 Place the micro hi-fi face-down on a fl at
surface.
2 Hold the stand above the micro hi-fi and
pull the FM antenna gently through the stand.

Caution
Risk of product damage! Ensure that the power supply
voltage corresponds to the voltage printed on the back or the underside of the micro hi-fi .
Risk of electric shock! When you unplug the AC adaptor, always pull the plug from the socket. Never pull the cord.
Before connecting the AC adaptor, ensure you have completed all other connections.

the DC socket on the main unit.

2 Connect the other end of the AC adaptor
to the wall outlet.
Set clock 1
In the standby mode, press and hold
SLEEP / PROG for 2 seconds to enter the clock setting mode.
2 Press VOLUME + / - repeatedly to select
12 hour or 24 hour format.
3 Press SLEEP / PROG to confi rm.

The hour digits are displayed and begin to blink.
4 Press VOLUME + / - to set the hour. 5 Press SLEEP / PROG to con rm.

The minute digits are displayed and begin to blink.

You can enjoy music from Philips GoGear player through this micro hi-fi .
Compatible GoGear player
Only GoGear players that begin with these model numbers can be played on this micro hi-fi :

Select the correct dock for the GoGear player
There are 5 GoGear docks supplied. Each of the docks fi t the GoGear models that begin with the model indicated on the dock.
Connect GoGear player
1 Ensure that there is no dock in the cradle
of the micro hi-fi .
2 Identify the correct dock for the GoGear
player.
3 Align the USB and headphone jacks on the
GoGear player with the plugs on the dock, then push fi rmly in.
Listen to the GoGear player
1 Press SOURCE repeatedly to select
GoGear source.
“GoGear” is displayed.

2 Turn on the GoGear player. 3 Control play with the GoGear player
controls.
To adjust volume and sound effect,
• you can press VOLUME + / - , DBB and DSC on the micro hi-fi .
Charge the GoGear player
When the micro hi-fi is connected to power, the docked GoGear player begins to charge.
Play from an external device
You can also listen to an external audio device through this micro hi-fi .

During play, press VOLUME + / - to
increase/decrease the volume level.
Select a preset sound effect
You can select these sound effects:
[POP] (pop)
[JAZZ] (jazz)
[CLASSIC] (classic)
[ROCK] (rock)
1 In GoGear/aux mode:
Press DSC repeatedly to select the effect.
1 In tuner mode:
Press and hold DSC for 2 seconds repeatedly to select the effect.
Enhance bass 1
In GoGear/aux mode:
Press DBB to turn on or off dynamic bass boost.
1 In tuner mode:
Press and hold DBB for 2 seconds to

9 Troubleshooting
Caution
Never remove the casing of this micro hi-fi .
To keep the warranty valid, never try to repair the system yourself. If you encounter problems when using this micro hi-fi , check the following points before requesting service. If the problem remains unsolved, go to the Philips web site (www. Philips.com/support). When you contact Philips, ensure that your micro hi-fi is nearby and the model number and serial number are available (see ‘Get started’ on page 9 ) .
No power
Ensure that the AC power plug of the micro hi-fi is connected properly.
Ensure that there is power at the AC outlet.
To save power, the micro hi-fi switches to standby automatically 15 minutes after disc/USB play reaches the end and no control is operated.
No sound
Adjust the volume.
No response from the micro hi-
Disconnect and reconnect the AC power plug, then turn on the micro hi-fi again.
Poor radio reception
Increase the distance between the micro
hi-fi and your TV or VCR. Fully extend the FM antenna.
• Clock setting erased
Power has been interrupted or the power
cord has been disconnected.
Reset the clock.
