2.2 Safety Instructions

contain lead, which is poisonous. This is almost c ertain the cas e for pai n t

manufacture d before 1977. Hand to mouth contact with lead based paint or wa ste can resul t in the ing estion of l ead. Ex posu re to ev en low levels of lead

can cause i rreversible brain and nervous system da mage; young and unborn children are par ticularly vu lner able. Before beginning any paint removal process you should det ermine whether the pa int you ar e removing contains lead. When in doubt, have the paint analysed by a professional.

6. Operation

6.1 Intended use

When observing the safety rules and using the original accessories, this hot air tool is intended for all applications listed below:

• Shrinking of shrink down tubing, solder connectors and solder terminals, packaging and electrical

components.

• Deforming of articles made from acrylic, PVC, and polystyrene, tubing, plates and profiles, as well as

moi st woods.

• Welding of thermoplastic polymer, flooring materials of PVC and linoleum, PVC-coated fabric,

tarpaulins and foils.

• Soldering of tin, special silver solder, SMD elements, cable lugs, and for loosening soldered

connections.

• Paint removal: removal of old and even thick coatings of oil paint, varnish and synthetic pl aster.

• Drying of colour shade samples, filter, adhesives, construction joints and stucco forms.

• Joining adhesives: large-surface gluing with contact adhesives, activation of pressure-sensitive

adhesives, acceleration of bondi ng processes, relea sing of bonding points as well as releasing or bonding of edge bond.

• Defrosting of icy stair s a nd steps, d o or locks, trunk lids, ca r doors or water pipes, as well a s for

defrosting refrigerators and ice boxes.

• Disinfection: with hot air of 600°C, you can quickly rid animal sties/stables of bacteria. Woodworm

infestation can be controlled (Caution: danger of fire! Do not heat up the wooden surface excessively).

Switching on

• Set the switch to I or II, depending on the application.

7. Cl eaning and Maintenance

• Make sure the heat gun is unplugged from the mains.

• Wipe the device with a moist, lint-

f ree cl oth. Do not use alcohol or solvent s. Do no t submerge in any

liquid.

• Make su re the ventilation openi ngs are clean at all ti mes.

• Do not store the heat gun in a humid environment.

• Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.

1. Inleiding

2. Veiligheidsinstructies

2.1 Terminologie

2.2 Veiligheidsinstructies

GEVAAR: Vergiftigingsgevaar.

Wees voorzicht ig tijdens het st rippen van verf. Bepaalde verfsoorten, en zeker verfsoorten vervaardigd voor 1977, bevatten een giftige hoeveelheid lood. Het i nslikken van een hoeveelheid lood, zelfs miniem, kan de hersenen

en het zenuwstelsel ernstig beschadigen. Jonge kinderen en embryo’s zijn bijz onder kwetsba ar voor di t so ort v ergif t iging.

Alvorens aan werkzaamheden t e beginnen, moet u weten of de af te strippen

verf lood bevat. Laat bij twijfel de verf onderzoeken door een vakman.

Gebruik dit hittepistool niet om loodhoudende verf te strippen. Laat

zulke verfsoorten behandelen door een vakman.

Muren, plafonds, soffieten en panelen kunnen brandbare st offen bevatten die tij dens verwarming doo r het hittepistool brand kunnen vatten. Stoffen kunnen

o nopvallend b r and begin nen te vatten wat le ts els o f zware be sc hadiging van eigendommen kan veroorzaken.

Beweeg het hittepistool tijdens het gebruik heen en weer om oververhitting

van het behandelde oppervlak te vermi jden. La at een in gesch akeld h ittepis to ol nooit onbeheerd achter. Dit hittepistool bevat een t hermisch relais als bescherming tegen

oververhitting. Schakel het hittepis too l altijd uit en trek de stekker uit het st opcontact van zodra dit relais inschakelt. Het hittepistoo l is opn ieuw klaar voor geb ruik als het relais uit schake l t.

Bedek nooit de luchtinlaat en -uitlaat.

Zorg vo or een brandblusapparaat in de buurt.

Geb r uik het hitt epistoo l ni e t i n d e b uur t van bran dbare materi a len o f in een explosieve atmos feer. Hitte kan geleid worden naar een brandbaar materiaal.

Geb ruik h et h ittepisto ol enkel in e en goed geventileerde ruimte. Door het verhitten van bepaalde plastics of vernissen kunnen brandbare gassen vrijkomen.

WAARSCHUWING:

Houd dit toestel buiten het bereik van kinderen en onbevoegden. Dit toestel is

NIET

voorzien voor gebruik door personen (inclusief kinderen) met beperkte

fysische, zint uiglijke of mentale vermogens, of personen zonder ervaring of

kenn is, behalve als deze via een voor hun veili g heid veran tw oo rdelijke persoon hebben kunnen genieten van hun veil igheid, van e en t o ezic ht of van voorafgaande instructies betreffende het gebruik van het apparaat.

WAARSCHUWING:

Raak de hete l uchtuitlaat niet met blote handen aan om b randgevaar te vermijden. Laat het hittepistool afkoelen na gebruik of alvorens het op te

bergen. Een verkeerd gebruik van het hittepistool kan brandgevaar m et zich meebrengen . Gebruik enkel originele accessoires en zorg dat ze

correct op het hitt epistoo l gemonte erd zijn.

WAARSCHUWING:

Adem vrijgekomen gassen nooit in. Bij het verhitt en van bepaalde plastics of vernissen kunnen brandbare gassen vrijkomen. Draag tijdens het gebruik van

het hittepis t ool een geschi kt besch erme n d masker. Vermi jd papieren mask er .

WAARSCHUWING:

De he te lucht van he t hi ttepistool kan ernstige brandwond en of zware

beschadiging van eigend o mme n kan veroorzaken. Richt het hittepistool

nooit

naar personen of dieren. Gebruik het hittepist ool nooit v oor het opwarm en va n vloei s t offen of als droo gtoe s te l voor ha ren of kleding . Gebru ik

altijd het geschikte mondstuk.

WAARSCHUWING:

Houd voedsel en drank uit de buurt van het werkterrei n. Was uw handen,

ar men en gezicht, en spoel uw mond a lvorens te

eten of te drinken. Rook niet

op het werkterrein.

WAARSCHUWING:

Trek de st ekker uit het stopcontact na gebruik van het toestel of alvorens werkzaamheden uit te voeren. Trek nooit aan de kabel. De voedingskabel mag niet omgeplooid of bescha digd zijn. Laat uw dealer zo nodig een nieuwe

kabel p laa ts en. Richt he t hi tt epistool nooit naar de voedin gskabe l of he t

stopcontact.

Gebruik het hittepistool niet indien u onder invloed bent van alcohol, drugs of medi catie.

• Leer eerst de fu ncties van het toestel kennen vo or u het gaat gebruiken.

• Om veili gh eidsredenen mag u geen wijzigingen aanbrengen. Schade door wijzigingen die de

6. Gebruik

6.1 Beoo gd gebr uik

Dit hittepistool is bestemd voor all e in deze hand leidi ng gen oemde t o ep assing en met de i nachtn eming van de veilig heidsvoorschriften en met het gebruik van de orig i nel e toebehoren.

• Krimpen van krimpkousen, soldeerverbindingen en -aansluitingen, verpakkingen en elektrische

componenten.

• Vervormen van acryl-, pvc- en polystyreenartikelen, buizen, platen, profielen en nat hout.

• Lassen van thermoplastische kunststoffen, pvc- en linoleumvloerbedekkingen, met pvc b eklede

weefsels, zeilen en folie.

• Solderen van tin, speciaalzilversoldeer, SMD-bouwel ementen, kabelschoentjes en het losmaken van

soldeerverbindingen.

• Verwi j deren van verf: verwij deren van oud e (ook dikke) olie- en laklagen en kunststofbekleding.

• Drogen van kleurproeven, plamuur, lijm, bouwvoegen en stucvormen.

• Lijmen: Lijmen op grote oppervlakken met contactlijm, activeren van hechtlijm, versnellen van het

lijmproces, losmaken van lijmpunten en verwijderen of aanbrengen van fineer.

• Ontdooien van bevroren tr ap treden, deursloten, kofferba kdeksels, autodeu r en, waterl eidi ngen, koel -

en vrieskasten.

• Desinfecteren: met hete lucht van 60 0 °C voor h et sn el verwijder en van bacter iën uit d ierenstallen.

Houtworm kan worden bestreden (Opgelet: brandgevaar! Verhit het houtopp ervl ak ni et te ster k).

Inschakelen

• Zet de schakelaar op I of II , afhan kelijk van de toepassing.

Uitschakelen

• Zet de sch akelaar op 0.

7. Rei niging en o nd erhoud

• Ontkoppel het hittepistool van h et l ichtnet.

• Maak het toestel schoon m et een vochtige, ni et pluizende do ek. Gebruik geen a lcohol of

oplosmiddelen. Dompel het apparaat nooit in een vloeistof.

• Zorg dat de verluchtingsopeningen steeds proper zijn.

• Bewaar het hittepistool niet in een vochtige omgeving.

• Bestel eventuele reserv eonderdelen bij uw plaatselijke verdeler.
