ID-DF5 Adapter Kit

Important Safeguards and Warnings

Prior to installation and use of this product, the following warnings should be observed.

1. Installation and servicing should only be done by qualified service personnel and conform to all local codes.

2. Installation shall be done in accordance with all local and national electrical and mechanical codes utilizing only approved materials.

3. Use only installation methods and materials capable of supporting four times the maximum specified load.

Please thoroughly familiarize yourself with the information in this manual prior to installation and operation.

Description

The ID-DF5 adapter kit is designed to insert the Sarix ID™ (indoor dome) Series network dome cameras inside a DF5 Series back box. (The adapter kit is used
for the ceiling model only.)

Parts List

The ID-DF5 adapter kit contains the following items:

1 Adapter bracket
1 Cosmetic cover plate
1 1/4-20 pan head machine screw with washer

Installation

Refer to Figure 1 on page 2 to perform the following steps:

1. Insert the provided washer and screw into the hole on the underside of the adapter bracket.

2. Position the adapter bracket inside the back box, keeping the screw and washer in place.

3. Insert the screw and washer into the back box, and then tighten the screw.

4. Place the plastic cosmetic cover plate over the adapter bracket legs.

5. Push the adapter bracket legs against the sides of the camera until they click into place.

6. Install the ID Series network dome camera into the adapter bracket. Refer to the ID Series Installation/Operation manual for camera installation
instructions.

The assembly is now complete.
