Connections
Power: With power off, connect power leads to LINE,
NEUTRAL and GROUND screw terminals. Ensure that
VOLTAGE SELECT switch is set correctly for supply
voltage before applying power.
Input: DMX input lines are connected to TB1 or J1. J1
and TB1 match the standard DMX512 pin layout. For J1
use an AMP 640440-5 or equivalent connector.
Pass-thru: If required, direct DMX signal pass-thru can
be connected to J2 using .100 in. header, AMP 640440-5
or equivalent.
Output: Both normally closed and nor m ally open contacts
are provided for each output. For signal switching,
connect one line to COM and the other to either NO or
NC depending on the type of closure required. For power
switching, connect the supply to COM and the load to NO.
All contacts are isolated from each other.
Address
Set the DMX address of the rela ys by setting the X100,
X10, and X1 rotary switches to the desired number of the
first relay. This can be any number from 1 to 512. The
rest of the relays on the card will increment from that
number.
0.2500"
DMX Termination
Switch the termination switch ON if there are no other
DMX devices connected to the DMX THRU co nnector or
the DMX IN terminal strip.
Momentary or Maintained
Some devices require a continuously maintained signal or
supply. Others require on l y a momentary or pulsed signal.
You can choose the desired output type by setting the the
Options DIP switch. Setting switch 1 OFF results in all
relays responding with a maintained contact closure when
addressed. Setting switch 1 ON results in all relays
responding with a momentary contact closure . The
duration of the momentary closure can be selected with
DIP switch 7. For a 250msec closure, set switch 7 OFF.
For a longer momentary closure of 500 msec, set switch 7
ON.
Threshold
The relay operating threshold can be set from 10%
(position 1 on the threshold dial) to 100% (position 0). The
relay will turn on at threshold +2% and turn off at
threshold -2%.

Dual Action Momentary Mode
A dual action momentary mode is available for use with
motors, screen and blind controls. These are situations
that require Up and Down, or Open and Close types of
commands. In dual action mode, the card operates as six
pairs of momentary relays (1 & 2, 3 & 4, etc.). When the
selected channel’s level is increasing and passes above
threshold, the first relay will close momentarily. When the
channel level is decreasing and passes below threshold,
the second relay will close momentarily.
Build Mode
For effects use, this unit ca n be set to Build Mode. In this
case all relays will respond to the single address set on
the rotary switches, depending on the DMX level for that
channel. The higher the level, the greater the number of
relays that will be on.
