Installation Instructions
Introduction
The ME-9868 Replacement Plumb Bob provides 30
individually packaged weights and string to replace
the plumb bob on the PASCO Projectile Launchers
(ME-6825, ME-6800 or ME-6801).
Equipment included
- Nylon thread
- Lead weight (30)
- Nylon washer (30)
Equipment not included:
- Pliers
Assembling the Plumb Bob
1. Cut a piece of string approximately 20 cm (8
inches), or gauge the string length directly on the
launcher unit as indicated in the picture.
2. Tie a knot at one end of the string and use pliers to
crimp a weight over the knot. (The knot prevents
the weight from slipping.)
Attaching the Plumb Bob
1. Feed the string from the front of the launcher
through the hole in the label and the launcher cylinder.
2. Tie the string just once around the washer.
3. Pull the washer taught against the launcher cylinder and adjust the string length until the weight just
swings past the label corner.
➤ Note: The weight must clear the launcher
body in all orientations. The actual string length
will vary depending on the launcher being restrung.
4. Secure the string with a double or triple knot to the
washer, be careful not to change the length of the
string as determined from the previous step.
5. Release the weight so that the washer rests against
the launcher cylinder and cut any excess string.

Limited Warranty
PASCO scientific warrants the product to be free from
defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one
year from the date of shipment to the customer. PASCO
will repair or replace at its option any part of the product
which is deemed to be defective in material or
workmanship. The warranty does not cover damage to
the product caused by abuse or improper use.
Determination of whether a product failure is the result
of a manufacturing defect or improper use by the
customer shall be made solely by PASCO scientific.
Responsibility for the return of equipment for warranty
repair belongs to the customer. Equipment must be
properly packed to prevent damage and shipped postage
or freight prepaid. (Damage caused by improper packing
of the equipment for return shipment will not be covered
by the warranty.) Shipping costs for returning the
equipment after repair will be paid by PASCO scientific.
Equipment Return
Should the product have to be returned to PASCO
scientific for any reason, notify PASCO scientific by
letter, phone, or fax BEFORE returning the product.
Upon notification, the return authorization and shipping
instructions will be promptly issued.
➤ NOTE: NO EQUIPMENT WILL BE
ACCEPTED FOR RETURN WITHOUT AN
AUTHORIZATION FROM PASCO.
When returning equipment for repair, the units must
be packed properly. Carriers will not accept responsibility for damage caused by improper packing.
