MACHINE SETUP

1. Place shredder in an upright position on a flat, level surface, do not slant.
2. Plug in power cord.
3. Ensure the shredder is unplugged after use.
4. Do not place shredder near airconditioners, wet, hot or dusty places.
5. Do not place shredder near direct sunlight or near direct heat.
OPERATION GUIDE
1. Please make sure the power switch is in "OFF mode before plugging into " power source.
2. The machine is ready to use when switched to “AUTO”.
3. Ensure the following when feeding paper into the shredder:
3.1. Make sure the paper activates the sensor in the middle of the paper in-throat and that the paper is straight.
3.2. Feed between 1 and 8 sheets of paper, no larger than A4 80g, through at a time.
4. Place the machine in reverse mode if there are any paper jams. (Full waste bins could cause paper jams)
5. Remove waste when the bin is full. Always switch the machine off before removing the waste bin.

The S801 Shredder has a an “AUTO-FEEDING” system. This enables the user to place the pages for shredding into the Auto-Feed tray and walk away. The shredder will automatically feed pages into the paper throat and stop when all the pages have been shredded. Feed maximum of 60 A4 80gsm pages.

In case of malfunction, stop operating the shredder immediately. Contact your nearest supplier or dealer.
Do not damage the power cord or place any heavy objects on the cord as it may cause a malfunction or an electrical short.
Keep out of reach from small children to prevent injury. This machine is not a toy.
CAUTION
Do not insert ties, necklaces, hair, sleeves etc. into the shredder. In the event of this happening, turn the power switch to reverse mode and remove the said article from the in-throat of the machine.
Please do not operate the machine near heating or cooling machines, wet or dusty places. Do not operate the shredder if it is over-heating. This may cause fire, electrical shock or malfunction.
The weight of the shredder is concentrated on the upper part of the machine, making it top heavy. Please place the machine upright on a flat level surface to avoid it falling-over and causing damage or injury.
Use the correct voltage for the machine to avoid overloading the power supply.
Ensure the machine is unplugged: before moving to another location before cleaning the waste bin when not in use

As the shredder operates on electricity, please do not spray water into the machine. This will cause electrical shock or short circuit that may cause injury or damage the machine.
This shredder is a machine made for shredding for any other purpose. Never feed films, OHP films, label paper, clothing or plastics into the shredder. Remove any pins, clips, staples, etc. from the paper before shredding. These objects may cause malfunctions or damage the shredding blades.

MAINTENANCE
• When maintaining/cleaning the shredder, switch the power off.
• Use a clean cloth, detergent and hot water.
• Do not use solvents to clean the machine casing as this will cause fading.
• Do not spill any water in the machine head as this may cause electrical shock.
• Clean out waste bin before it is full as it may cause a blockage.

4. Adjust the switch to reverse position to remove the jammed paper.

• The guarantee applies to the supplied products and all their components but not to their installation or configuration or to the services provided by the dealer. Manuals and any software supplied on a separate data medium are excluded from the guarantee.
• The guarantee provides for products that, despite proper care and use, have demonstrably developed defects due to faulty workmanship and/or materials. To be replaced at our discretion free of charge. The guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear. Alternatively we reserve the right to replace the defective product with a successor model.
• Claims under the guarantee cannot be made if the defect or damage was caused by improper care or use. Improper care or use includes the following: o Opening the product. o End user installation. o Altering the product. o Repairs or work done by persons not authorised by us. o Product fitted to another product or device not authorised by us. o Defects or damage caused by dropping, breaking, lightning or ingress of moisture.
• Any further claims due to damage are excluded arising from the use of our product, provided this was not due to gross negligence and/or intent on our part. Parrot Products is not liable in any circumstance for down-time, loss of profit, loss of data or third party penalties.
• Claims under the Guarantee must be made as soon as the defect is noticed.
• An invoice showing the date of purchase must be presented as proof. Each claim under the guarantee is accepted with express reservation that subsequent investigations confirm the validity of the claim.
• The cost of materials and labour will be borne by us. This guarantee excludes the costs of transport, postage or freight.
• The guarantee period starts on the day of purchase by the end user and is valid for 12 months. A successful claim under guarantee does not extend the guarantee period.
