Cautions:

• Clean the lens face with care.
Do not clean the lens with strong or
abrasive detergents. Use lens tissue or
a cotton tipped applicator and ethanol.
Wipe carefully not to scratch the lens
surface.

• Do not use strong or abrasive deter­gents when cleaning the lens body.
Use a dry cloth to clean the lens body
when dirty.
In case the dirt is hard to remove, use a
mild detergent and wipe gently.

Mounting the Lens

1. Set the lens type selector on the
camera to ELC position.

2. Mount the lens by turning it clockwise
on the lens mount of the camera.

Adjustment

1. Rotate the Zoom Ring toward the “T”
and the Focus Ring toward the “F” until
it stops.

2. Shoot an object more than 10 meters
(30 feet) away to adjust the flange-back
of the camera.

3. Loosen screws on the flange-back
adjusting ring of the camera, then turn
this ring to bring the object into focus.

Caution:

Do not turn this ring too far counter­clockwise as this could damage the
inner glass and CCD image sensor.

4. Tighten the screws on the flange-back
adjusting ring.

5. Set the Zoom Ring to a point between
“T” and “W” to choose the desired
angular field of view.

6. Bring the desired object into focus by
turning the Focus Ring.

Note:

When shooting an object less than 10
meters (30 feet) away, adjust the focus
by rotating the flange-back ring of the
camera.
