Bluetooth is a technology which enables wireless communication. With Bluetooth, you
can access internet or exchange data with other Bluetooth devices (e.g., computer, mobile
phone, access point) without connecting cables.

Do not do anything to block the radio waves, for example by obstructing the
antenna segment with your hand.

NOTE

Communication speeds and distances may vary depending on surrounding condi­tions, such as the other device sending or receiving communications and the instal­lation environment.
It is a characteristic of radio waves that communication speeds will tend to de­crease as the communication distance increases. We recommend that communica­tions between Bluetooth devices be conducted in as close proximity as possible.
Communication speeds may decrease if a microwave oven is being used nearby.

About Bluetooth

Installing Bluetooth Driver

Perform the following procedure after completing the first-time use operation ( Oper­ating Instructions “First-time Operation”).

NOTE

When [Found New Hardware Wizard] is displayed, select [Cancel].
<Only for models without the CD/DVD drive>
The CD/DVD drive (optional) is required. Install the driver for the CD/DVD drive
if necessary.

Place the Software for Bluetooth® V1. 2 CD-ROM into the CD/DVD drive.

Input [d*1:\Bluetooth Stack\setup.exe] in [start] - [Run] and select [OK].

Follow the on-screen instructions and install the driver.

*1“d” is the drive letter of the CD/DVD drive. Change this to match the drive letter on your

own computer.

Restart the computer.

Select [start] - [All Programs] - [Bluetooth] - [Bluetooth Settings].

Follow the on-screen instructions.

NOTE

When you uninstall the Bluetooth diver, turn Bluetooth off using the Bluetooth
Switch or the Wireless Switch Utility. (see below)

Turning Bluetooth On/Off

To turn Bluetooth on/off, you need to install a Bluetooth Switch.
You may install a Wireless Switch Utility (only for models with the Wireless Switch
Utility) instead of the Bluetooth Switch. For detailed information about the Wireless
Switch Utility, “Wireless LAN” or “Wireless Switch Utility”.

Using the Bluetooth Switch

Installing

If you have installed the Wireless Switch Utility (only for models with the Wireless Switch
Utility), uninstall it beforehand.

Place the Software for Bluetooth® V1.2 CD-ROM into the CD/DVD drive.

Input [d*2:\bluesw\setup.exe] in [start] - [Run] and select [OK].

Follow the on-screen instructions and install the Bluetooth Switch.

Bei Bluetooth handelt es sich um eine Technologie, die eine drahtlose Kommunikation
ermöglicht. Mit Hilfe von Bluetooth können Sie auf das Internet zugreifen oder Daten mit
anderen Bluetooth-Geräten (z.B. PC, Handy, Zugriffspunkt) austauschen, ohne dass
irgendwelche Kabelanschlüsse erforderlich sind.

Die Kommunikation erfolgt über eine Bluetooth-Antenne.
Vermeiden Sie eine Blockierung der HF-Wellen, z.B. durch Verdecken des

Antennensegments mit der Hand.

HINWEIS

Kommunikationsgeschwindigkeit und -entfernung können je nach
Umgebungsbedingungen variieren, z.B. in Abhängigkeit von dem zweiten Gerät,
das Daten überträgt oder empfängt, und von der Installationsumgebung.
Es ist eine Eigenschaft von HF-Wellen, dass sich die Kommunikationsgeschwindigkeit
bei zunehmender Entfernung verringert. Daher empfiehlt es sich grundsätzlich,
die Entfernung zwischen zwei Bluetooth-Geräten während der Kommunikation
so klein wie möglich zu halten.
Bei Betrieb eines Mikrowellenherds in der Nähe kann die Kommunikationsgeschwindigkeit

abnehmen.

Installieren des Bluetooth-Treibers

Führen Sie das nachstehende Verfahren aus, nachdem Sie das Verfahren für die erstmalige
Inbetriebnahme abgeschlossen haben (

ATTENTION

Les communications s’effectuent par une antenne Bluetooth.
Évitez de bloquer de quelque façon que ce soit les ondes radio, par exemple en

recommandé que la communication entre les appareils Bluetooth s’effectue sur la
distance la plus courte possible.
La vitesse de communication risque de diminuer si un four à micro-ondes est utilisé
à proximité.

Installation du pilote Bluetooth

Procédez comme suit après avoir compété l’opération de la première utilisation
(

Instructions d’utilisation “Première utilisation”).

REMARQUE

Si [Assistant Matériel détecté] s’affiche, sélectionnez [Annuler].
<Uniquement pour les modèles sans lecteur CD/DVD>
Le lecteur CD/DVD (en option) est requis. Installez le pilote du lecteur CD/DVD
si nécessaire.

Insérez le disque “Software for Bluetooth® V1.2 CD-ROM” dans le lecteur
CD/DVD.

Saisissez [d*1:\Bluetooth Stack\setup.exe] dans [démarrer] - [Exécuter]
et sélectionnez [OK].

Suivez les instructions à l’écran et installez le pilote.

“d” est la lettre assignée au lecteur CD/DVD. Modifiez-la pour qu’elle corresponde à celle
de votre ordinateur.

Redémarrez l’ordinateur.

Sélectionnez [démarrer] - [Tous les programmes] - [Bluetooth] ­[Paramètres Bluetooth].

Suivez les instructions à l’écran.

REMARQUE

Lorsque vous désinstallez le pilote Bluetooth, désactivez Bluetooth à l’aide de
Bluetooth Switch ou de Wireless Switch Utility (voir ci-dessous).

Activation/désactivation de Bluetooth

Pour activer/désactiver Bluetooth, vous devez installer Bluetooth Switch.
Vous pouvez installer Wireless Switch Utility (uniquement pour les modèles équipés de
Wireless Switch Utility) plutôt que Bluetooth Switch. Pour plus d’informations concernant
Wireless Switch Utility, ¨ “Wireless LAN” ou “Wireless Switch Utility”.
