Compatibility update for iPod
2 Check Firmware Version
CAUTION: If the player has the most recent firmware, there is no need to
perform a firmware update.
1) Turn ON the MW-10.
2) Press the [SETUP] button on the remote control.
3) Using the Up and Down Cursor buttons on the remote controller, select the
"System Software Info" in "Setting Menu", and Press the [OK] button on the
remote controller. The current firmware version will appear on the display.
4) Turn the OFF MW-10.
CAUTION: Compare the firmware version displayed to the current firmware
version. If they are the same, or the firmware version displayed in the
player is higher, there is no need to install the firmware.
Reasons why the player may have a more recent firmware version:
If the player was manufactured after the firmware was released, the
firmware update may have already been installed.
If the player was serviced by an authorized Panasonic service center, a
service technician may have already installed the latest firmware update.
3 Download Firmware
1) Left click on the DOWNLOAD icon for the firmware.
2) Left click on the “I agree to the terms of use” checkbox.
3) Left click on DOWNLOAD.
4) Extract the files from the downloaded folder. Save the 2 extracted files to your
SD Card. The file structure should look like the illustrat ion below.
4 Install the Firmware
1. Turn on the power switch.
2. Press the [SETUP] button on the remote control.
3. Using the Up and Down cursor buttons on the remote control, select the "Update
System Software" in "Setting Menu", and Press the [OK] button on the remote
control.
5. First, press the Right and Left cursor buttons on the remote control to select
YES. Then, press the [OK] button on the remote control.
6. The update process will start and MW-10 will display "Updating".
DO NOT attempt to do the following operations while "Updating" is in progress
and has not reached 100%:
- DO NOT turn the power off and on.
- DO NOT remove the SD Memory Card.
- DO NOT remove the AC cord.
7. Once the firmware update process is completed, the MW-10 will display
"Updating is complete”.
8. Disconnect the AC cord once and connect it again.
9. Turn on the power switch. (DO NOT remove the SD Memory Card)
The MW-10 will display the "Update System Software" screen shown below
10. Press the [OK] button on the remote control to continue.
11. The update process will start and MW-10 will display "Updating".
DO NOT attempt to do the following operations while "Updating" is in progress
and has not reached 100%:
- DO NOT turn the power off and on.
- DO NOT remove the SD Memory Card.
- DO NOT remove the AC cord
Once the firmware update process is completed, the MW-10 will display that
"Updating is complete. Disconnect AC cord."
4. Remove the SD Memory Card.
5. Turn the MW-10 power switch on.
The unit will now operate under the new firmware.
