MDF series biomedical freezers include upright models designed for short- or intermediate-term storage at temperatures as low as -30°C.
Constructed with high-performance laboratory and clinical-grade refrigeration systems, these freezers are used in clinical, biotechnology and

the MDF series provides precise and
uniform storage temperatures regardless
of ambient conditions, with a settable
temperature range from -20°C to -30°C in
1°C increments. Built-in alarm and product
safety functions are also provided as
standard features.

Easy Maintenance

Natural cooling of the unit’s condenser
eliminates the need for a condensor fan.
Periodic cleaning of a lter is therefore not
required, making periodic maintenance
minimal. Standard castors and leveling
feet make relocation easy.

• Evaporator (Cooling Coils) provide the
cooling effect and is located at the top of
the inner chamber.

• Air ow inlets and outlets direct the air
ow across the evaporator to cool the air.

• Dual Circulation fans add to excellent
overall uniformity (uniform temperatures)
inside the cabinet.

• Evaporator heater is activated during
defrosting cycle to turn frost into water.
The water drains out the back of unit into
a condensate pan. The water (conden­sate) is eventually evaporated into the air
by a heater in the condensate pan, mak­ing the unit maintenance free for the end
user in terms of defrosting and dealing
with the melted condensate (water).

Enzyme and Biologics
Preservation
(MDF-U731M Only)

Storage at -30°C or -20°C easily with
constant stable control. Uniform tem­peratures are maintained throughout the
chamber using full cold wall construction.
Since there is no defrost cycle, the inner
chamber temperature offers outstanding
uniformity and stability without tem­perature spikes. Standard door lock for an
independent padlock ensure extra safety

• Unlike many other cold wall freezers,
the MDF Series locates cooling coils
strategically spaced in the walls not
only along both sides and the back of
the chamber, but also on the top and
the bottom of the chamber to ensure
maximum cooling performance.

• Shelves for product storage have full ex­ibility in placement.

Enzyme Storage Freezer Bins
(MDF-U731M Only)

The optional full storage system, Model #:
730MFB creates a exible and convenient
inventory system for enzymes and many
other types of samples. The total system
includes 14 storage bins and additional
wire shelving.
