Finding the Controls
The control panel of the unit is divided into three parts: left, middle and right. Left part:
There are five buttons arranged vertically at the left edge. The three upper buttons are Station Keys for One-touch dial. Below the Station Keys is the LOWER button, and the bottom-most is the FAX AUTO ANSWER button. Immediately right are three rectangular buttons: From top to bottom, they are the SCAN, COPY and FAX buttons.
Middle part: In the top middle of the panel is the display. To the right of the display is the round MENU button. Immediately below the MENU button is a large round Navigator key. The UP and DOWN TRIANGLES on the vertical row of the Navigator key are also the VOLUME control. The RIGHT and LEFT TRIANGLES on are located the horizontal row of the Navigator key. The SET button located in the center of the Navigator key. To the left of the Navigator key are five buttons, and these buttons function differently depending on whether the unit is in COPY mode or FAX mode. In COPY mode, these buttons are from left to right; COPY SIZE, CONTRAST, RESOLUTION, ZOOM and PAGE LAYOUT. In FAX mode, these buttons are from left to right PHONEBOOK, CONTRAST, RESOLUTION, QUICK SCAN and CALLER ID. Below these buttons are three buttons: From left to right, they are the REDIAL, FLASH and MONITOR buttons. The REDIAL button also serves as the PAUSE button.
Right part: This part contains the telephone keypad laid out in the conventional arrangement with a raised dot on the 5 button. To the right of the keypad are two buttons. The top one is the STOP button, and the bottom one is the START button, a large round key.
