Types of heating mode
Eco:
The fan is particularly suitable for cooking small quantities of food, as it provides low energy consumption.
Static:
As the heat comes from the top and bottom at the same time, this system is particularly suitable for certain types of food. Traditional cooking, also known as static or thermal radiation cooking, is suitable for cooking just one dish at a time. Perfect for all types of roasts, bread and cakes and for fatty meats such as goose and duck.
Fan-assisted static:
The operation of the fan, combined with traditional cooking, ensures uniform cooking even with complex recipes. Perfect for biscuits and cakes, even when simultaneously cooked on two levels. (For cooking on two levels, you are advised to use the 2nd and 4th runners.)
Fan-assisted grill:
The air produced by the fan softens the strong heat wave generated by the grill, giving perfect grilling results even with very thick foods. Perfect for large cuts of meat (e.g. shin of pork).
Grill:
The heat coming from the grill element gives perfect grilling results, especially for thin and medium thickness meat. Perfect for sausages, ribs and bacon.
Defrosting:
For defrosting set the temperature to 30°C, defrosting times will vary according to quantity. Rapid defrosting is helped by switching on the fan and the top heating element to ensure uniform distribution of lowtemperature air inside the oven.
25
Cooking with the oven
Types of heating mode
Rising:
For rising set the temperature to 40°C, rising times will vary according to quantity. The rising function, using the heat coming from the top, makes it possible to raise all types of dough, guaranteeing perfect results quickly.
Turn the oven lights off when using the rising function. Leaving the lights on will cause the oven temperature to increase. To check the food turn the
oven lights on briey by pressing
Circular:
The combination of the fan and the circular element (incorporated in the rear of the oven) enables different foods to be cooked on several levels, as long as they need the same temperature and cooking time. Hot air circulation ensures instant and uniform distribution of heat. It will be possible,
for instance, to cook sh, vegetables
and biscuits simultaneously (on different levels) without mixing
aromas and avours. (For cooking on
two levels, you are advised to use the 2nd and 4th runners.)
.
Turbo:
The combination of fan-assisted cooking and traditional cooking enables different foods to be cooked on several
levels extremely quickly and efciently,
without any transfer of smells and
avours.
Perfect for large volumes that need intense cooking. (For cooking on two levels, you are advised to use the 2nd and 4th runners.)
Fan-assisted bottom:
The combination of the fan with just the lower heating element allows cooking to be completed more rapidly. This system is recommended for
sterilising or for nishing off the cooking
of foods which are already well-cooked on the surface, but not inside, which therefore need a little more heat. Perfect for any type of food.
Rotisserie grill:
The rotisserie functions in
combination with the grill element allowing to perfectly brown food. This function enables large quantities of food, particularly meat, to be grilled evenly.

Cooking advice and instructions
General advice
We recommend preheating the oven before putting the food in. Do not
place foods inside the oven until
on the display stops ashing and
the beep has sounded to conrm that
the programmed temperature has been reached.
For cooking on several levels, we recommend using a fan-assisted function to achieve uniform cooking at all heights.
In general, it is not possible to shorten the cooking times by increasing the temperature (the food could be welldone on the outside and underdone on the inside).
When cooking desserts or vegetables an excess of condensation may form on the glass. To prevent this, open the door a couple of times during cooking, taking great care.
Advice for cooking cake and biscuits
Use dark metal moulds for cakes: they help to absorb the heat better.
The temperature and the cooking duration depend on the quality and consistency of the mixture.
Check whether the cake is cooked right through: at the end of the cooking time, insert a metal skewer into the highest point of the cake then withdraw it. If the batter does not stick to the metal skewer, the cake is cooked.
If the cake collapses when it comes out of the oven, on the next occasion reduce the set temperature by about 10°C, selecting a longer cooking time if necessary.
Advice for cooking meat
Cooking times, especially for meat, vary according to the thickness and quality of the food and to consumer taste.
We recommend using a meat thermometer when roasting meat.
27
Cooking with the oven
Advice for defrosting and rising
We recommend positioning frozen
foods in a lidless container on the rst
runner of the oven.
The food must be defrosted without its wrapping.
Lay out the foodstuffs in a single layer to be defrosted evenly, not overlapping.
When defrosting meat, we recommend using a rack positioned on the second runner with the food on it and a tray
positioned on the rst runner. In this
way, the liquid from the defrosting food drains away from the food.
The most delicate parts can be covered with aluminium foil.
For successful rising, kneaded dough needs to prove until it has doubled in size. We recommend using the rising 40°C function for best results. Please refer to recipes on page 37 EN for further information.
Advice for cooking with the Grill and the Fan-assisted grill
Using the Grill function, meat
can be grilled even when it is put into the oven cold; preheating is recommended if you wish to change the effect of the cooking.
With the Fan-assisted
grill function, however, we recommend that you preheat the oven before grilling.
If it is set to low power mode (see page 24 EN, Low power mode), we recommend that food is only placed in the centre of the rack.

Cleaning the glass of the lid
To keep the glass surfaces in good condition they should be cleaned regularly after every use of the oven.
Allow to cool rst.
Ordinary daily cleaning
To clean and preserve the surfaces,
always use only specic products that
do not contain abrasives or chlorinebased acids.
How to use: pour the product onto a damp cloth and wipe the surface, rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft rag or
microbre cloth.
Food stains or residues
Do not use steel sponges or sharp scrapers as they will damage the surface.
Use normal non-abrasive products and a wooden or plastic tool if necessary. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a soft
cloth or a microbre cloth.
Do not allow residues of sugary foods (such as jam) to set inside the oven since they might damage the enamel lining of the oven.

Cleaning the door glazing
The glass in the door should always be kept thoroughly clean. Use absorbent kitchen roll; remove stubborn dirt with a damp sponge and an ordinary detergent.
CAUTION
Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaners for cleaning the door glazing. (e.g. powder products, oven cleaner sprays, stain removers and metal scouring pads).
Do not use rough or abrasive materials or sharp metal scrapers to clean the oven’s glass doors since they may scratch the surface.
Cleaning the inside of the oven
For the best oven upkeep, clean it regularly after having allowed it to cool.
Take out all removable parts.
Clean the oven racks with hot water
and non-abrasive detergent. Rinse and dry.
For easier cleaning, the door can
be removed (see page 45 EN, Removing the door).
 Note
The oven should be operated at the maximum heat setting for 15-20
minutes after use of specic cleaning
products, to burn off the residues left inside the oven.

Removing guide frames
Removing the guide frames makes it easier to clean the side parts, and it also needs to be done whenever the automatic cleaning cycle is used (see page 41 EN, Pyrolysis: automatic oven cleaning).
To remove the guide frames, pull the
frame towards the inside of the oven to unhook it from its housing A, then slide it out of the seats at the back B.
When cleaning is complete, reverse
the above procedures to return the guide frames into position.

English
Pyrolysis: automatic oven cleaning
Pyrolysis is an automatic hightemperature cleaning procedure which causes dirt to dissolve. Thanks to this process, it is possible to clean the inside of the oven very easily.
 Notes
During the rst automatic cleaning
cycle, unpleasant smells may occur due to the normal evaporation of oily manufacturing substances. This is an absolutely normal phenomenon
which disappears after the rst
cleaning cycle.
Before starting the automatic cleaning cycle, make sure that the oven does not contain any foods or large spills from previous cooking operations.
During the pyrolysis cycle, a door locking device makes it impossible to open the door.
Before starting the automatic cleaning cycle
Pyrolysis may be carried out at any time of the day or night (if you wish to
benet from the lower cost of electricity
overnight).
Completely remove all accessories
from inside the oven. The roof liner is not considered an accessory and must therefore be kept inside the oven.
Remove the guide frames, see
“page 40 EN, Removing guide frames”.
WARNING
If the oven is installed underneath a hob, make sure that the burners or electric plates remain off during the automatic cleaning cycle.
During the ‘Pyrolytic’ cleaning cycle hot air may be exhausted from the vent above the door.

Special maintenance
The oven may require special maintenance or replacement of parts subject to wear such as seals, bulbs, etc. The following instructions describe how to carry out these minor maintenance operations.
Before any intervention that requires access to live parts, disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Remove the bulb by sliding it out as shown.
Replacing the light bulb
WARNING
Ensure that the appliance is disconnected from the power supply before replacing the lamp, to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
If a light bulb needs to be replaced because it is worn or burnt out, remove the guide frames; see “page 40 EN, Removing guide frames”.
Then carefully remove the bulb cover
using a suitable tool (e.g. a at bladed
screwdriver).
The bulbs are halogen, so do not touch
them directly with your ngers, wrap
them in an insulating material.
Replace the bulb with one of the same type G9 Halogen (40 W / 230 V). Replace the cover correctly, so that the moulded part of the glass is facing the door.
 Note
Press the cover down as far as it will go so that it attaches completely to the bulb support.

Removing the internal glass panels
The glass in the door should always be kept thoroughly clean. To facilitate cleaning, it is possible to remove the door (see page 45 EN, Removing the door) and place it on a canvas, or open it and lock the hinges in order to extract the glass panels.
The glass panels of the door can be completely removed by following the instructions provided below.
WARNING
Before removing the glass panels, make sure that at least one of the door’s hinges has been locked in the open position as described on “page 45 EN, Removing the door”. This operation may have to be repeated during the glass removal process if the door is accidentally freed.
46
Special maintenance
1 - Removing the internal glass panel:
Remove the internal glass panel by pulling it upwards, following the movement indicated by the arrows. Doing this detaches the 4 pins attached to the glass from their slots in the oven door.
2 - Removing the middle glass panels:
There are two middle glass panels, attached using 4 small locks. Remove the middle panels by lifting them upwards.
3 - Cleaning:
It is now possible to clean the external glass panel and the panels removed previously. Use absorbent kitchen roll. In the case of stubborn dirt, wash with a damp sponge and neutral detergent.
English
4 - Replacing the glass panels:
Replace the panels in the reverse order to which they were removed.
Reposition the internal glass panel, taking care to centre and insert the 4 pins attached to the glass into their slots in the oven door by applying slight pressure.

What to do if...
The oven display is completely off.
The oven does not heat up. Check whether it has been set in “Demo” mode,
Check the mains power supply.
Check whether an omnipolar switch upstream of the oven supply line is in the “ON” position.
for further details see “page 24 EN, Secondary menu”.
The cooking times are longer than those indicated in the cooking charts.
After the automatic “pyrolysis” cleaning cycle it is not possible to select a function.
The display shows Err 4. The door lock has not engaged with the door. This
If the door is opened during a fan assisted function, the internal fan stops.
The cooling fan continues to turn after the oven is turned off.
The oven has an odour and generates smoke when in use.
Check whether the “low power” mode has been set, for further details see “page 24 EN, Secondary menu”.
Verify whether the door locking device has switched off. If it has not, the oven has a protection device that does not allow functions to be selected while the door locking device is active. This is because the temperature inside the oven is still too high to permit any type of cooking.
might be because the door was accidentally open during its activation. Press the On-off key to return to Clock mode. Wait a few minutes for the oven to cool before re-selecting a cleaning cycle.
This is not a fault. It is a normal operation of the appliance, useful when cooking foods in order to avoid excessive heat escaping. When the door is closed, the oven will return to normal operation.
The fan turns off automatically when the electronic
components have cooled sufciently. If the fan
continues and does not stop after the oven has cooled down please contact an authorised service centre.
It is recommended to clean the oven using the Pyrolytic cleaning function on a regular basis. This will burn off any food residue or oil which may cause an odour and/or smoking. See page 41 EN.
