Battery pack (Lithium ion battery pack)

• Use the specified unit to recharge the battery pack.

• Do not use the battery pack with equipment other than the specified unit.

• Do not get dirt, sand, liquids, or other foreign matter on the terminals.

• Do not touch the plug terminals (i and j) with metal objects.

• Do not disassemble, remodel, heat or throw into fire.

If any electrolyte should come into contact with your hands or clothes, wash it off thoroughly with water. If any electrolyte should come into contact with your eyes, never rub the eyes. Rinse eyes thoroughly with water, and then consult a doctor.

Charging the Battery



≥ Always use genuine Panasonic batteries (P7, 8). ≥ If you use other batteries, we cannot guarantee the quality of this

1 Connect the AC cable (AC mains

lead).

• Do not use any other AC cables (AC mains leads) except the supplied one.

• The AC cable (AC mains lead) is dedicated for this unit. Do not use it with other devices.

2 Attach the battery by paying

≥ The indicated charging time is for when the battery has been

discharged completely. The charging time may vary depending on how the battery has been used. The charging time for the battery in hot/cold environments or a battery that has not been used for a long time may be longer than normal.

• The battery becomes warm after using it and during and after charging. The charger also becomes warm during charging. This is not a malfunction.

• The battery can be recharged even when it still has some charge left, but it is not recommended that the battery charge be frequently topped up while the battery is fully charged. (Since characteristic swelling may occur.)

Cautions for Use

• The charger may generate whirring sounds when it is being used. This is not a malfunction.

• Keep the charger 1 m (3.3 feet) or more away from radio.

• Do not put heavy objects or step on this unit.

When shipping the unit, carefully pack, include all supplied accessories listed in the Owner’s Manual, and send it prepaid, adequately insured and packed well in a carton box. When shipping Lithium Ion batteries please visit our Web Site at www.panasonic.com/BatteryHandling up to date information. Include a letter detailing the complaint, a return address and provide a daytime phone number where you can be reached. A valid registered receipt is required under the Limited Warranty.

IF REPAIR IS NEEDED DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD, THE PURCHASER WILL BE REQUIRED TO FURNISH A SALES RECEIPT/PROOF OF PURCHASE INDICATING DATE OF PURCHASE, AMOUNT PAID AND PLACE OF PURCHASE. CUSTOMER WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE REPAIR OF ANY UNIT RECEIVED WITHOUT SUCH PROOF OF PURCHASE.

1 Connexion du cordon

d’alimentation c.a.

• Assurez-vous de n’utiliser que le cordon d’alimentation c.a. fourni.

• Le cordon d’alimentation c.a. est conçu spécifiquement pour ce chargeur. Ne l’utilisez pas avec d’autres appareils.

2 Installez la batterie en faisant

attention à son orientation, puis faites-la glisser.

• L’indicateur [CHARGE] A s’allume et le chargement démarre.

L’indicateur [CHARGE] s’allume :

Le chargement démarre lorsque l’indicateur [CHARGE] s’allume.

L’indicateur [CHARGE] s’éteint :

L’indicateur [CHARGE] s’éteint lorsque le chargement s’est effectué sans problème. (Déconnectez le cordon d’alimentation c.a. de la prise de courant et détachez la batterie une fois le chargement terminé.)

≥ Lorsque le voyant [CHARGE] clignote

• La température de la batterie est trop élevée ou trop basse. Nous recommandons de charger à nouveau la batterie à une température ambiante entre 10 oC à 30 oC (50 oF à 86 oF).

• Les bornes du chargeur ou de la batterie sont sales. Dans ce cas, essuyezles avec un linge sec.

Faites glisser la batterie dans le sens contraire à celui de l’insertion et retirez-la.



Le temps de chargement indiqué est celui lorsque la batterie est complètement déchargée. Le temps de chargement varie selon l’utilisation de la batterie. La durée de chargement d’une batterie dans un environnement chaud/froid ou d’une batterie qui n’a pas été utilisée pendant une période prolongée peut être plus longue que d’habitude.

Nota

• La batterie se réchauffe après son utilisation, ainsi que pendant et après le chargement. Le chargeur se réchauffe également durant le chargement. Il ne s’agit pas d’un mauvais fonctionnement.

• Il est possible de recharger la batterie même si elle n’est pas complètement à plat mais il n’est pas recommandé de recharger fréquemment la batterie lorsque celle-ci est déjà chargée à plein. (La batterie pourrait se gonfler.)

Précautions d’utilisation

• Le chargeur peut générer des bourdonnements lorsqu’il est en cours d’utilisation. Il ne s’agit pas d’un mauvais fonctionnement.

• Gardez le chargeur à 1 m (3,3 pieds) ou plus des radios.

• Évitez de poser des objets lourds sur le chargeur ou de le piétiner.
