rupture may result.

● Do Not Charge the Battery Using Methods Other Than
Those Specified

Should the battery leak and the fluid get into your eyes, do

not rub your eyes. Immediately flush your eyes with clear
water and see a doctor for medical treatment as soon as pos­sible.

tween 10 °C to 30 °C (50 °F to 86 °F).

When the battery pack is left installed in a computer, it

discharges electricity gradually in small amounts even if
the computer’s power is off. If left for a long period (several
months or more), the battery pack will over discharge and its
performance may deteriorate.

If the battery pack will not be used for a long period of time (a

month or more), charge or discharge (use) the battery pack
until the remaining battery level becomes 30% to 40% and
store it in a cool, dry place.

How to Replace and Charge the Battery Pack

The battery pack is not charged when it is first purchased. Be
sure to charge it before using for the first time. Refer to the com­puter’s Reference Manual or the Operating Instructions.

1. Turn over the computer.
Make sure no foreign objects are under the computer.

Depending on the models, the shape of cover may differ.

2. Open the cover.

1 Slide both latches to the arrow

2. Slide the latch (B).

3. Remove the battery pack (A).

1. Insert the battery pack until it

securely fits the connector.

Connect the AC Adaptor to the computer.

The battery charging starts automatically.

• Charging time and operating time vary according to the state
of the computer’s power supply and the temperature.

• The battery pack may become warm during charging or nor­mal use. This is completely normal.

triebszeit des Akkus stark verkürzen.

● Berühren Sie nicht die Ausgänge am Akkupack. Es kann sein, dass

der Akkupack nicht mehr richtig funktioniert, wenn die Kontakte
schmutzig oder beschädigt wurden.

● Lassen Sie den Akkupack nicht mit Wasser in Berührung kommen

oder nass werden.

● Sollte der Akkupack undicht sein und die Flüssigkeit kommt in Ihre

Augen, reiben Sie sie nicht. Waschen Sie Ihre Augen sofort mit kla­rem Wasser aus und konsultieren Sie für eine medizinische Behand­lung so schnell wie möglich einen Arzt.

● Bitte lagern Sie den Akkupack bei einer Temperatur zwischen 10

bis 30 °C.

● Wenn der Akkupack in einem Computer installiert wurde, entlädt er

sich graduell allmählich, selbst wenn der Strom des Computers aus­gestellt wurde. Wenn der Akkupack für längere Zeit nicht ver wendet
wurde (mehrere Monate oder mehr), wird sich der Akkupack vollstän­dig entladen und es kann sein, dass er nicht mehr richtig funktioniert.
Wenn der Akkupack für längere Zeit nicht benutzt wird (einen Monat
oder mehr), laden oder entladen (verwenden) Sie den Akkupack, bis
das Batterieniveau 30% bis 40% anzeigt und lagern Sie ihn an ei­nem kühlen, trockenen Ort.

● Lesen Sie das Reference Manual des Computers oder die Bedie-

nungsanleitung vor der Verwendung durch. Hinweise dazu, wie das
Reference Manual gestartet wird, finden Sie in der Betriebsanleitung

comprise 10 °C à 30 °C.

● Quand la batterie est laissée fixée à l’ordinateur, elle se dé-
charge graduellement petit à petit même si l’ordinateur est lais­sé hors tension. Si elle est laissée dans cet état pendant une
longue période (plusieurs mois ou plus), la batterie deviendra
trop déchargée et ses performances peuvent être détériorées.
Si la batterie n’est pas utilisée pendant une longue période
de temps (un mois ou plus), changer ou décharger (utiliser)
la batterie jusqu’à ce que niveau de charge devienne 30% à
40% et la ranger dans un endroit frais.

Comment remplacer et charger la batterie

La batterie n’est pas chargée lorsque vous l’achetez. Veillez à la
charger avant de l’utiliser pour la première fois.

<Pour ouvrir le capot arrière>

1. Retournez l’ordinateur.
Assurez-vous de l’absence d’objets étrangers sous l’ordinateur.

Selon les modèles, la forme du capot peut différer.

2. Ouvrir le capot.

1 Faites glisser les deux loquets

dans le sens de la flèche.

2 Retirez le capot de la face avant.

<Pour extraire la batterie>

1. Mettez l’ordinateur hors tension.

2. Faites glisser le loquet (B).

3. Retirez la batterie (A).

<Pour insérer la batterie>

1. Insérez la batterie jusqu’à ce

qu’elle soit engagée en toute
sécurité dans le connecteur.

<Pour glisser le capot arrière vers l’arrière>

1. Placez le capot horizontalement.

2. Faites glisser le capot tout en le

poussant.

<Chargez la batterie>
Connecter l’ordinateur à l’adaptateur secteur.

La charge de la batterie démarre automatiquement.

● La durée de la charge et de la fonctionnement varie en fonction
de l’état de l’alimentation de l’ordinateur et de la température.

● La batterie peut devenir chaude pendant la charge ou son
utilisation normale. C’est tout à fait normal.
