Federal Communications Commission Radio Frequency Interference Statement

FCC Regulation Notice for modem This equipment contains a FCC approved modem.

1. This equipment complies with CFR47 Part 68 rules.

On the computer is a label that contains, among other

information, the FCC registration number and ringer

equivalence number (REN) for this equipment. If re-

quired, this information must be provided to the tele-

phone company.

2. An FCC compliant telephone cord and modular plug

is provided with this equipment. This equipment is

designed to be connected to the telephone network

or premises wiring using a compatible modular jack

which is Part 68 compliant. See Installation Instruc-

tions for details.

3. The REN is used to determine the quantity of devices

cessive RENs on the telephone line may result in the

devices not ringing in response to an incoming call. In

The Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991 makes it unlawful for any person to use a computer or other electronic device to send any message via a telephone fax machine unless such message clearly contains in a margin at the top or bottom of each transmitted page or on the  rst page of the transmission, the date and time it is sent and an identi cation of the business or other entry, or other individual sending the message and the telephone number of the sending machine or such business, other entity, or individual. In order to program this information into your fax software, you should refer to the manual of the Fax software being used.

10.According to the FCC’s electrical safety advisory, we recommend that you may install an AC surge arrestor in the AC outlet to which this equipment is connected. Telephone companies report that electrical surges, typically lightning transients, are very destructive to customer terminal equipment connected to AC power sources and that this is a major nationwide problem.

Warning This apparatus must be earthed for your safety.

To ensure safe operation the three-pin plug must be inserted only into a standard three-pin power point which is effectively earthed through the normal household wiring. As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this apparatus may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows: The wire which is coloured GREEN-and-YELLOW must be connected to the terminal in the plug which is marked by the letter E or by the safety earth symbol

coloured GREEN or

GREEN-and-YELLOW. The wire which is coloured Blue must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured

How to replace the fuse

Open the fuse compartment with a screwdriver and replace the fuse.

Exhaustive pursuit of usability and reliability under harsh conditions led to innovations such has the magnesium alloy exterior, vibration damped hard disk drive and  oppy disk drive,  exible internal connections. The CF-19’s outstanding engineering has been tested using the strict MIL-STD- 810F (for vibration and shock) and IP (for dust and water) based procedures. Use only the speci ed battery pack (CF-VZSU48U) with your product. Use of battery packs other than those manufactured and supplied by Panasonic may present a safety hazard (generation of heat, ignition or rupture).

Do not touch the terminals on the battery pack. The bat-

tery pack may no longer function properly if the contacts are dirty or damaged.

Do not expose the battery pack to water, or allow it to

become wet.

If the battery pack will not be used for a long period of

time (a month or more), charge or discharge (use) the battery pack until the remaining battery level becomes 30% to 40% and store it in a cool, dry place.

This computer prevents overcharging of the battery by

recharging only when the remaining power is less than approx. 95% of capacity.

The battery pack is not charged when the computer is

 rst purchased. Be sure to charge it before using it for

the  rst time. When the AC adaptor is connected to the computer, charging begins automatically.

Should the battery leak and the  uid get into your eyes,

do not rub your eyes. Immediately  ush your eyes with clear water and see a doctor for medical treatment as soon as possible.

NOTE

The battery pack may become warm during recharg-

ing or normal use. This is completely normal.

Recharging will not commence if internal tempera-

ture of the battery pack is outside of the allowable temperature range (0 °C to 50 °C). (

Reference Manual “Battery Power”) Once the allowable range requirement is satis ed, charg- ing begins automatically. Note that the recharging time varies based on the usage conditions. (Recharging takes longer than usual when the temperature is 10 °C or below.)

If the temperature is low, the operating time is short-

ened. Only use the computer within the allowable temperature range.

This computer has a high temperature mode function

that prevents the degradation of the battery in high temperature environments. (

“Battery Power”) A level corresponding to a 100% charge for high temperature mode is approximately equivalent to an 80% charge level for normal temperature mode.

The battery pack is a consumable item. If the amount

of time the computer can be run by using a particular battery pack becomes dramatically shorter and repeated recharging does not restore its performance, the battery pack should be replaced with a new one.

When transporting a spare battery inside a package,

briefcase, etc., it is recommended that it be placed in a plastic bag so that its contacts are protected.

Always power off the computer when it is not in use.

Leaving the computer on when the AC adaptor is not connected will exhaust the remaining battery capacity.

Wenn der Stecker nicht ganz eingesteckt ist, kann es durch Überhitzung oder Stromschläge zu einem Brand kommen.

Verwenden Sie keine beschädigten oder lockeren Steckdosen.

Achten Sie auf festen Sitz der Anschlussabdeckung bei Verwendung dieses Produkts in Umgebung von Wasser, Feuchtigkeit, Dampf, Staub, öligen Dämpfen usw.

Das Eindringen von Fremdkörpern kann zu Bränden oder Stromschlägen führen.

Wenn Fremdkörper hineingelangen sollten, schalten Sie das Gerät sofort aus, entfernen Sie den Netzstecker (und dann das Akkupack). Wenden Sie sich anschließend an den technischen Kundendienst.

Das Akkupack ist ein Verbrauchsartikel. Wenn sich die Laufzeit eines Akkupacks drastisch verkürzt und dies nicht mehr durch wiederholtes Au aden behoben werden kann, sollten Sie den Akku durch einen neuen ersetzen.

Beim Transport eines Ersatz-Akkus in einer Verpackung, einer Aktentasche, etc. empfehlen wir, ihn in eine Plastiktüte zu legen, um die Kontakte zu schützen.

Schalten Sie den Computer immer aus, wenn Sie ihn

Importantes Mesures De Sécurité

Une recherche exhaustive de maniabilité et de  abilité dans des conditions rigoureuses a permis d’apporter les innovations suivantes : extérieur en alliage magnésium, amortissement des vibrations du lecteur de disque dur et de disquette, connexions internes  exibles. L’ingénierie remarquable du modèle CF-19 a été soumise à des tests selon les procédures basées sur la norme MIL-STD- 810F (pour les vibrations et les chocs) et IP (pour les poussières et l’eau). Comme pour tout appareil portable, des précautions doivent être prises a n d’éviter tout dommage. Les précautions d’utilisation et de manipulation suivantes sont recommandées.

Ne pas insérer ni retirer la  che C.A. les mains mouillées

Eliminer régulièrement la poussière et d’autres résidus de la  che C.A.

Si de la poussière ou d’autres résidus s’accumulent sur la  che, si celle-ci est humide, par exemple, cela pourrait entraîner une défaillance de l’isolation et provoquer un incendie.

Retirer la  che et l’essuyer avec un chiffon sec.

Retirer la  che si l’ordinateur n’est pas utilisé pendant une longue période.

Insérer complètement la  che C.A.

Si vous n’utilisez pas la batterie pendant une période

prolongée (un mois ou plus), chargez-la ou déchargez-la (utilisez-la) jusqu’à ce que son niveau de charge se situe entre 30% et 40% de sa capacité maximale et gardez-la dans un endroit frais et sec.

Cet ordinateur protège la batterie contre une éventuelle surcharge en ne déclenchant son rechargement que lorsque sa charge est inférieure à 95% environ de sa capacité maximale.

À l’achat de l’ordinateur, la batterie n’est pas chargée.

Chargez-la avant d’utiliser votre ordinateur pour la première fois. Lorsque l’adaptateur secteur est branché sur



l’ordinateur, la charge démarre automatiquement.

En cas de contact du liquide de la batterie avec les yeux,

surtout ne les frottez pas. Rincez-les immédiatement avec de l’eau et consultez un médecin.

La charge ne peut commencer si la température

Quando si usa il replicatore di porta o il dispositivo di montaggio per auto su cui è possibile installare un’antenna esterna:

In caso contrario, potrebbe veri carsi un surriscaldamento. La connessione a un convertitore CC/CA (invertitore) potrebbe danneggiare l’adattatore CA. Su un aereo, collegare l’adattatore/ caricatore CA solamente a una presa CA speci catamente approvata per tale uso.

Non eseguire azioni che possano danneggiare il cavo CA, la spina CA o l’adattatore CA

Non danneggiare o modi care il cavo, posizionarlo in prossimità di dispositivi caldi, piegarlo, intrecciarlo o forzarlo in posizione, sovrapporvi oggetti pesanti o stringerlo. L’utilizzo continuativo di un cavo danneggiato può provocare incendi, corto circuiti o scosse elettriche.

Non tirare o inserire la spina CA con le mani bagnate

Pericolo di scosse elettriche.

Pulire regolarmente la spina CA da polvere e sporcizia

Se polvere, sporcizia, umidità si accumulano sulla spina, l’ isolamento potrebbe risultare compromesso, con pericolo di incendio.

Staccare la spina, pulirla con uno straccio asciutto. Staccare

la spina in caso di inutilizzo prolungato del computer.

Inserire a fondo la spina CA

Se non si inserisce completamente la spina, si potrebbero veri care incendi dovuti a surriscaldamento o scosse elettriche.

Non utilizzare una spina danneggiata o una presa CA non  ssata saldamente.

Chiudere con cura il coperchio dei connettori se si utilizza questo prodotto in presenza di acqua, umidità, vapore, polvere, vapori d’olio, e così via.

L’ingresso di materiali estranei può provocare incendi o scosse elettriche.

In caso di ingresso di materiali estranei all’interno del prodot-

to, interrompere immediatamente l’alimentazione e scollegare la spina CA, (quindi rimuovere il gruppo batteria). Rivolgersi all’assistenza tecnica.

Non sottoporre l’adattatore CA a forti impatti

L’utilizzo dell’adattatore CA dopo un forte impatto dovuto a caduta può provocare scosse elettriche, corto circuito o incendi.

Interrompere l’utilizzo per 10-15 minuti ogni ora

Non utilizzare con un altro prodotto

Il gruppo batteria è ricaricabile ed è ideato per essere utilizzato per il prodotto speci cato. Se usato con un prodotto diverso da quello per cui è stato progettato, potrebbero veri carsi perdite di liquido elettrolitico, generazione di calore, incendi o rotture.

Non caricare la batteria utilizzando metodi diversi da quelli speci cati

Se non si carica la batteria seguendo uno dei metodi speci cati, potrebbero veri carsi perdite di liquido elettrolitico, generazione di calore, incendi o rotture.

Non gettare la batteria nel fuoco né esporla a calore eccessivo

Potrebbero veri carsi generazione di calore, incendi o rotture.

Evitare le temperature molto elevate (ad esempio in prossimità del fuoco, esposizione alla luce solare diretta)

Non utilizzare questo prodotto con gruppi batteria diversi da quelli speci cati

Utilizzare solo il gruppo batteria speci cato (CF-VZSU48U) con il prodotto. L’uso di gruppi batterie diversi da quelli prodotti e forniti da Panasonic potrebbe risultare pericoloso (generazione di calore, incendi o rotture).

Non toccare i terminali del gruppo batterie. Il gruppo batte-

ria potrebbe non funzionare più in modo corretto in caso di contatti sporchi o danneggiati.

Non esporre il gruppo batterie all’acqua ed evitare che si

bagni.

Se non si utilizza la batteria per un lungo periodo (un mese

o più), caricare o scaricare (utilizzare) la batteria  nché non raggiunge un livello residuo di carica compreso tra il 30% e il 40% e conservarla quindi in un luogo fresco ed asciutto.

Questo computer impedisce il sovraccarico della batteria

ricaricandola solamente quando la carica residua è inferiore al 95% circa della capacità totale.

Al momento dell’acquisto del computer, il gruppo batteria

non è carico. Assicurarsi di caricarlo prima di utilizzare il computer per la prima volta. La ricarica ha inizio automaticamente quando si collega l’adattatore CA al computer.

Nel caso in cui del liquido fuoriuscito dalla batteria entri in

contatto con gli occhi, non stropicciarli. Lavare immediatamente gli occhi con acqua e rivolgersi al più presto ad un medico per richiedere un trattamento specialistico.

NOTA

Il gruppo batteria può scaldarsi durante la procedura di

ricarica o il normale utilizzo. Questo è del tutto normale.

La ricarica non verrà avviata se la temperatura interna

del gruppo batteria non rientra nell’intervallo della temperatura consentita (da 0 °C a 50 °C).

che la temperatura rientra nell’intervallo consentito, la ricarica viene avviata automaticamente. Tenere presente che il tempo di ricarica varia in base alle condizioni d’ uso. (La ricarica richiede un tempo maggiore quando la temperatura è pari o inferiore a 10 °C.)

Se la temperatura è bassa, il tempo di funzionamento si

riduce. Utilizzare il computer esclusivamente all’interno del campo di temperatura ammesso.

Questo computer è dotato di una modalità ad alta

temperatura che previene il deperimento della batteria in ambienti ad alta temperatura. (

“Battery Power”) Un livello corrispondente a una capacità massima del 100% per la modalità ad alta temperatura corrisponde approssimativamente all’80% in modalità a temperatura normale.

Il gruppo batteria è un materiale di consumo. Se il tempo

di utilizzo del computer con una determinata batteria si riduce drasticamente e ripetute ricariche non ne ripristinano le prestazioni, sostituire la batteria con una nuova.

Dovendo trasportare una batteria di ricambio in un

pacchetto o in una borsa, si raccomanda di riporla in un sacchetto di plastica in modo tale da proteggerne i contatti.

Spegnere sempre il computer quando non in uso.

Qualora il computer sia lasciato acceso quando l’ adattatore CA non è collegato, si esaurirà la carica residua della batteria.
