CF-72 Series with Wireless LAN
This Supplementary Instructions manual explains how to get started with a wireless LAN and point out cases where the operation of the computer will differ from that in the Operating Instructions and/or Reference Manual.
This model has a wireless LAN.
Wireless LAN Antenna
NOTE
Wireless LAN communications are done via an antenna. When making a connection via a wireless LAN, raise the antenna as shown in the right figure. Otherwise, you should keep the antenna retracted. When setting Antenna Mode (Receive/Transit) in [Aironet Client Utility (ACU)] - [Pro­file Manager], select [Diversity (Both)] or [Left Antenna Only].

6 Turn your computer on
1 Slide the power switch and hold it for approximately
one second until the power indicator turns on before re­leasing it.
2 When [Press F2 to enter SETUP] is displayed, press
F2 , then run the Setup Utility.
Replace the step 8 for the following. “OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS (page 11)”
8 Setup Windows
Moving the cursor ( ) or clicking buttons can be per­formed with the touch pad.
Windows 2000
CAUTION
Do not press any key or move the touch pad until [Windows 2000 Professional Setup] is displayed.
3 Select [Advanced] menu, then set [Wireless LAN] to
[Disable].
4 Press F10 .
At the confirmation message, select [Yes], then press Enter .
1 At the [Welcome to the Windows 2000 Setup Wiz-
ard], select [Next].
2 After reading the agreement, select [I accept this
agreement] or [I don’t accept this agreement], then select [Next].
NOTE
If [I don’t accept this agreement] is selected, the Windows setup will be aborted.
