FAQS ABOUT CONVECTION BAKING
Figure 6
What is Convection?
Answer: In your Toaster Oven there is a built in fan that circulates the hot air in the oven
chamber to cook the food better and give a browning effect to it.
How do I adjust the time for Convection?
Answer: On average, convection will shorten the cooking time by 30% but it varies by food.
It is suggested to go with a shorter cooking time to start with and then add time if it is needed.
What are the best foods to use with Convection?
Answer: While a shorter cook time is often desirable, baked foods in particular benet from
convection cooking as the circulating air keeps oven temperature consistent throughout.
TO USE THE BROIL FUNCTION (SEE FIG. 7)
1. Select desired oven rack position. (See “Positioning Rack” Section)
2. Place broil rack in baking tray.
3. Arrange food on broiler rack.
4. Close the door to the rst notch, leaving approximately an 8 cm (3-inch)
gap at the top. This will ensure adequate airow during broiling.
5. Turn the Function knob to the BROIL “” position. Only the
top-heating element will operate. (The heating element will cycle
ON and OFF to maintain temperature.)
6. Turn the temperature control knob “” to the desired temperature.
7. Turn the timer knob “” to the desired time. The timer can be set
to for up to 60 minutes and further to “Stay ON” mode for additional
60 minute increments as desired. The interior light turns on when
timer is on. At the end of the cooking time, a bell signal sounds,
and the oven turns off automatically.
8. Turn food over about halfway through the broiling time.

CLEANING YOUR TOASTER OVEN
Before cleaning your toaster oven, unplug it and allow it to cool. To clean, wipe with damp cloth.
DONOTIMMERSEINWATER! Make sure to use only mild, soapy water. Abrasive cleaners,
scrubbing brushes and chemical cleaners will damage the coating on this unit. Empty crumb

STORING YOUR TOASTER OVEN
Allow the appliance to cool completely before storing. If storing the toaster oven for long periods of
time, make certain that the toaster oven is clean and free of food particles. Store the toaster oven
in a dry location such as on a table or countertop or cupboard shelf. Other than the recommended
cleaning, no further user maintenance should be necessary.
HELPFUL TIPS/ TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM
• Overcooked / undercooked foods.
• Burnt smell.
• Oven does not turn ON.
• Only one heating element is
heating up.
• Heating elements do not stay ON.
POTENTIAL CAUSE
• Incorrect temperature or time
setting.
• Rack placement.
• Food build-up inside oven, on
heating elements or in crumb tray.
• Unit is unplugged.
• Timer was not turned
past 20 minute mark.
• Function setting selection
determines which heating element
will operate.
• Heating elements will cycle ON and
OFF to maintain proper heat.
9
SOLUTION
• You may have to adjust the time and
temperature to the desired taste.
• Because your oven is smaller than
your regular oven, it will heat up
faster and generally cook in shorter
periods of time.
• Refer to “Positioning Rack” Section.
Rack may need to be adjusted to
accommodate food type.
• Refer to “Cleaning Your Toaster
Oven” Section.
• Plug the toaster oven into
appropriate electrical outlet.
• Set timer knob and temperature
knob to the desired setting. Both
must be turned on to operate the
toaster oven.
• When toasting, make sure the oven
is not set to broil setting.
• Be certain that function is as
desired.
