Commercial Clipper/Trimmer

When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Read all Instructions before using this appliance.

DANGER

To reduce the risk of electric shock:

1.Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately.

2.Do not use while bathing or in a shower.

3.Do not place or store appliance

where it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.

4.Do not place in or drop into water or other liquid.

5.Always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet

immediately after using.

6.Unplug this appliance before cleaning, putting on or taking off parts.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of burns, fire, electric shock, or injury to persons:

1.An appliance should never be left unattended when it is plugged in.

2.Close supervision is necessary when this appliance is used by, on, or near children or invalids.

3.Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this

manual. Do not use attachments not recommended by the manufacturer.

4.Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if

it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to a service center for examination and repair.

5.Keep cord away from heated surfaces.

6.Never operate the appliance when air openings are blocked or while on a soft surface (such as a bed or couch).

7.Never drop or insert any object into opening.

8.Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol spray products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.

9.Do not use this appliance with a damaged or broken comb or blade, as cut or scratched skin may occur.

10.To disconnect, move all controls to “OFF”, then remove plug from outlet.

11.Do not wrap cord around unit when storing. Continuous stress on the cord can damage cord insulation and result in a

shock hazard.

12.Avoid contact with moving blades.

13.Avoid tangling or kinking the cord while clipping. Should the cord

become tangled or kinked, stop clipping and straighten the cord.

14.This appliance is for trimming purpose use only.

15.Keep the appliance dry.

16.The intended continuous operating time is 20 minutes.

17.During use, do not place or leave the appliance where it is expected to:

1)subject to damage by animal, or

2)exposed to weather.

18.This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or

lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

1. Wash hair first; it can reduce blade damage and improve blade efficiency. 2.Oil blades before and after each use. Apply 1-2 drops of oil to the blades

that move and to the “contact” section of stationary blades.

About This Clipper/Trimmer

Clipper/Trimmer Operation

1.Turn the clipper/trimmer on using the “On-Off” switch and use the unit.

2.Turn the unit off when finished using.

3.Cover the blades with the provided blade guard to protect the blades.

Always apply one to two drops of the provided blade lubricant or other Oster® approved lubricant to the blades before use.

Cutting efficiency may drop and the blades and motor may be damaged if hair is dirty or hair styling agents have been applied. Always ensure that hair is clean before using the clipper/trimmer.

User-Maintenance Instructions

1.The appliance has no user serviceable parts.

2.The product is for commercial use.

3.Keep cord straight while cutting/trimming. If cord becomes kinked or tangled, stop use and straighten it.

4.Do not wrap cord around the clipper/trimmer when storing. This can damage the cord insulation.

5.Always take care not to tangle the cord while using or storing the clipper/trimmer.

6.We recommend storing the clipper/trimmer and cord in the original carton when not in use.

Changing Blades

This unit is designed with interchangeable blade attachments. It is not necessary to replace the actual blades.

REMOVING THE BLADES

1.Turn the unit off. Unplug the unit.

2.Push the upper part of the blade away from the unit. The blade and blade attachment will “snap” off.

REPLACING THE BLADES

1.Turn the unit off. Unplug the unit.

2.Align the blade attachment and the clipper/trimmer by inserting the small tab on the bottom of the blade attachment into the cut out receptacle on the bottom of the unit.

3.Push the upper part of the blade towards the unit. The blade attachment will snap securely into the clipper/trimmer. Do not force the blade attachment. If properly aligned, the blade will snap into the unit with little force. Forcing the blade attachment will cause damage to your clipper/trimmer and will void the warranty.

Comb Attachments

Your unit comes with five comb attachments. These are provided to increase the functionality and enjoyment of your unit.

INSERTING THE COMB ATTACHMENT

1.Insert the cutting edge of the blade into the comb attachment.

2.Snap it tight at the back end of the blade by pushing down on the Guide Comb Attachment tab.

REMOVING THE COMB ATTACHMENT

1.Push up on the Guide Comb Attachment tab until it releases from the metal blade.

2.Continue lifting the Comb Attachment away from the cutting edge of the blade until the Comb Attachment is free.

Cleaning, Maintenance and Storage:

Proper cleaning and care can extend the life and improve performance of your clipper/trimmer

1.Turn the clipper/trimmer’s On/Off switch to OFF.

2.Use the cleaning brush to sweep the clipper/trimmer body and blades clean of hair.

3.Apply 1-2 drops of oil to the blades that move and to the “contact” section of stationary blades.

4.Do not store clipper/trimmer when room temperature is under 0°C (32°F) or over 40°C (104°F), or in a damp, humid place.

5.Always unplug the power supply when not in use.

When using or cleaning this clipper, do not use any aerosol sprays or blade washes, especially those containing methylene chloride, dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride, or 1-1-1 trichloroethylene. Damage caused by these chemicals will void your warranty. You may use Oster® Blade Wash, Oster® Blade Lube and Oster® 5 in 1 Clipper Blade Care which do not harm the product.

Disposal in E.U. countries

Do not dispose of the appliance with domestic refuse. As part of the E.U. Directive governing the disposal of electric and electronic

appliances, the appliance is accepted free of charge by local waste collection points or recycling centers. Correct disposal will ensure environment protection and prevent a potential harmful impact on

people and the environment.

HOW TO GET SERVICE WHEN YOU NEED IT

1.Once you have located a Service Station, take your product there. To make packaging the product easier, use the original packaging materials and carton if you have them.

2.If it is necessary to ship the unit to the Service Station:

a.Pack it carefully in a good carton with plenty of crumpled paper or other padding around it. Tape or tie the carton securely.

b.The warranty does not cover damage in transit. Carefully address the package to the nearest Service Station. Don’t forget your name and return address, including postal zip code.

c.Your Post Office will tell you the proper amount of postage and can insure the package against loss.

3.If returning a clipper, include blades.

4.When ordering Parts or Accessories specify the Service number (or Model No. and the Series Letter) indicated on your product.

Disposal in non-E.U. countries

Please dispose of the appliance at the end of service life in an environmentally friendly manner.

LIMITED WARRANTY

This product is warranted for one year from date of purchase to be free of mechanical and electrical defects in material and workmanship. The manufacturer’s obligation hereunder is limited to repairing such products during the warranty period, provided the product is sent prepaid to an Authorized Service Station. This warranty does not cover normal wear of parts or damage resulting from any of

the following: Negligent use or misuse of the product, normal wear and tear, damage, Acts of God, use on improper voltage or current, use contrary to operating instructions, or disassembly, repair or alteration by any person other than an Authorized Service Station. Return of the Owner Registration Card is not required for warranty coverage. This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state, province to province or jurisdiction to jurisdiction. No other warranty is provided and to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited to the duration of this warranty and the company shall not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages.

If your appliance includes a country-specific guarantee or warranty insert please refer to the terms and conditions of such guarantee or warranty in place of this guarantee or contact your local authorized dealer for more information.
