Dear Parents & Guardians, thank-you for buying Oregon Scientific’s Watch N’ Learn. Using the latest technology Oregon Scientific aims to develop unparalleled electronic learning products that make learning more fun than ever before!
With Watch N’ Learn a child can hear and see the time on demand, together with an animation of an activity associated with that!

Instructions
Initial Activation
When purchased the Watch N’ Learn is in TRY ME mode for demonstration purposes. Using the tip of a pencil, press the RE-SET button located on the lower left side of the watch. If the display or sound is weak and unclear, please replace the batterys indicated (see “Fitting a new battery”).
The Watch N’Learn is now ready for use. Specific operations and functions are listed below.
Setting the time
To set the time, press both LEFT and RIGHT buttons simultaneously. Pressing them once selects the hour. Pressing them again selects the minutes. When the correct numbers are flashing use the LEFT (-) and RIGHT (+) buttons to select the correct time. When the time is set, press the ON-DEMAND button to check your setting.
Once the time is set and there is no further user input, the watch will revert to STAND-BY mode.

What time is it?
Press the ON-DEMAND button to hear the time. The Watch N’ Learn also displays an animation of an activity according to the time of day, e.g. eating, sleeping, etc.
The Alphabet
Press either the LEFT or RIGHT button (arrow key) once to activate the alphabet teacher. A letter is introduced, a word and supporting animation follows. Use the LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys to scroll through the alphabet. The watch will show the animation of the letter that you stop at. If there is no user input within five seconds after the last animation, the watch automatically returns to the STAND-BY mode.

Fitting a new battery
Caution!
Small + Loose parts included adult assistance is necessary.
Use a small philips screwdriver to remove the back of the watch. Replace the battery with a new CR2032. Extra care should be taken with the removal of the backing. Beside the battery there are two small springs that function as speaker contacts. Take care as they are small and loose. When replacing the watch backing the springs need to be standing upright. The backing fits correctly in only one position.
Battery Notice
• Keep away from fire at all times.
• Remove batteries from the Watch N’Learn when it will not be used for an extended period of time.
• The battery needs replacing, if the display becomes weak or sound distorted.

• Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged.
• Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before being charged (if removable).
• Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult supervision (it removable).
• The supply terminals are not to be short-circuited.
Caution:
• Keep your Watch N’ Learn free from water, liquid toiletries (cologne, perfume, hair liquids, etc), and moisture.
• Keep your Watch N’ Learn free from dirt, sand and other small particles.
• Keep the unit clean by wiping it with a slightly damp cloth.
• Avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight.
• Avoid extreme temperatures.
• Do not drop the unit on hard surfaces.
