INTRODUCTION

Thank you for selecting the Oregon ScienticTM Weather +. These products collects real-time weather data and

sends the data to smart devices via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Please keep this manual available as you use your

new product. It contains practical step-by-step instructions, as well as product technical specications and warnings.

The major differences between the 2 models are listed below:

User Manual

1. Main key – Press and hold (around 2 seconds) the unit gently from the top to start pairing. Press and hold for at least 5 seconds to turn on/off the Weather+.

GETTING STARTED DOWNLOAD THE APP

Download the app from your smart device. This app is available on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Search ‘Weather + by Oregon Scientic’, to nd the app.

INSERT BATTERIES

1. Remove the outer cover of the Weather+ to open the battery compartment.

2. Insert the batteries, matching the polarities (+ /-). The Weather+ turns on automatically and ashes in green 4 times after inserting the battery.

NOTE

Replace batteries when the LED ashes in red twice per hour, or when the app shows the low battery icon.

When the device’s battery is low, replace the battery as soon as possible to avoid any data loss.

PAIRING WITH THE WEATHER

1. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Tap the app icon to open, it shows the Add Device screen.

2. Tap Start Device Search to start searching. Press and hold the Weather+ for 2 seconds to enter the pairing

mode, the blue light ashes for approximately 30 seconds.

3. The searching screen displays eligible devices for pairing. You may also pull the screen downward to refresh. Tap your desired Weather+ under the Eligible Devices, then tap OK to proceed.

Devices available for pairing list under Eligible Devices section.

Devices that might have been paired with the smart devices and are not available for pairing list under the Ineligible Devices section.

4. Tap the camera icon to choose your desired area. You may choose a photo from Photo Library, Take photo using the camera, or Use Default Photo from the app. Then press OK to conrm and proceed.

5. Tap the device name to edit.

6. Tap > on the right to choose the room type, then press OK.

7. Slide the MAX/MIN knobs at both ends to adjust the temperature/humidity/pressure range, or turn off the

notication by sliding the knobs to the end.

8. Tap Edit to change the default Max/ Min temperature/ humidity/ pressure messages. Tap OK to conrm.

9. Tap OK to conrm and leave the Add Device screen. You should see a message Room setting update successfully. Tap OK and it is ready to use.

10. Your smart device might take several minutes after setup to download data.

NOTE

• The pairing mode of the Weather+ turns off after 30 seconds.

• Bluetooth wireless technology operates within 30 meters (98 ft) range and varies if there are physical obstacles,

such as a thick wall in between your smart device and Weather+.

• Once the pairing is successful, the Weather

connects with the smart device automatically when the Bluetooth

on your smart device is turned on, or it moves within range of the base.

• The room type preset values are for reference only. Actual conditions may vary.

• If you unpair/remove a device from the app, the data stored for certain device in the app will be removed.

For the best results:

• Place the sensor out of direct sunlight and moisture.

• Use alkaline batteries for longer usage and consumer grade lithium batteries in temperatures below freezing.

• To ensure your device syncs and stores the data, Open the Weather

apps and press to reconnect the

device after each reset or battery replacement.

DEVICE MENU

The Weather+ starts storing the data once paired with the app. Tap to review the weather alert and data histories of selected Weather + . It stores up to 20 days of weather data in 15-minute intervals.

• Tap Alert to review the weather alert history. Tap more… to review more weather history in its

category.

• To delete the record, swipe to the left to delete a single entry, or tap Clear All to delete all entries.

• Tap History to review the weather history. The app displays the data histories of weather, max/min temperature,

humidity and pressure; tap to choose daily, weekly, monthly or yearly to choose the desired review option.

• Swipe the screen to view the previous or next period.

SETTINGS GENERAL SETTINGS

At home screen, tap to enter the settings.

• Tap Temperature /Pressure to select the desired measurement unit.

• Tap Interval and then tap the desired time interval.

The app will check the alert in desired interval time set.

• Tap Do Not Disturb to set the time for your smart

device in order to receive the notications in silence.

• Tap OK to conrm the settings.

DEVICE SETTINGS

You may change the settings for each paired device. Tap to enter Device Setting of paired sensor.

• Slide the icons horizontally to choose the desired connected Weather

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Solution

is not working.

• Make sure the battery is correctly inserted. Follow the pairing instructions correctly.

• Press

to reset the device to default, then pair with the smart device

I cannot pair the Weather

with my smart device.

Check if the Weather+ and your smart device are in 30 m (98 ft) Bluetooth operation range. Place your smart device closer if there are physical obstacles such as a thick wall or large pieces of furniture interfering with the transmission.

I cannot retrieve all data from the Weather

Weather

stores the weather data up to 20 days. If your smart device disconnects from the Weather+ for more than 20 days, the app could only retrieve the data from the last 20 days. Make sure you keep your smart device connected to the Weather+ in order to receive the data.

The live data does not refresh when I press

• It may take a few seconds for the live data to show on the app.

• If you have pressed

once, wait for 15 seconds before pressing again.

• Check if the Weather

and your smart device are in 30 m (98 ft) Bluetooth

Pursuant to and in accordance with Article 14 of the Directive 2012/19/EU of the European Parliament on

COME INIZIARE DOWNLOAD DELL’APP

Scaricare l’app sul proprio dispositivo mobile. L’app è disponibile sia su Apple App Store che su Google Play Store. Cercare ‘Weather+ by Oregon Scientic’ per trovare l’app.

INSERIRE LE BATTERIE

1. Rimuovere la cover esterna di Weather+ per aprire il vano batterie.

2. Inserire le batterie, facendo attenzione alle polarità (+/-). Weather

si accende automaticamente e lampeggia in

verde 4 volte dopo aver inserito le batterie.

NOTA Sostituire le batterie quando il LED lampeggia in rosso due volte all’ora, o quando l’app mostra l’icona del basso livello della batteria. Quando il livello della batteria del dispositivo è basso sostituire la batteria il prima possibile per evitare perdite di dati.

ABBINAMENTO CON WEATHER

1. Assicurarsi che il Bluetooth sia acceso. Cliccare sull’icona dell’app per aprirla e visualizzare la schermata Add Device.

2. Cliccare su

Start Device Search per iniziare a cercare un dispositivo. Tenere premuto Weather+ per

2 secondi per avviare la modalità di abbinamento; la luce blu lampeggerà per circa 30 secondi.

3. La schermata di ricerca mostra i dispositivi disponibili per l’abbinamento. È possibile anche trascinare lo schermo verso il basso per aggiornarlo. Cliccare sul dispositivo Weather

desiderato nella schermata Eligible Devices,

poi premere OK per procedure.

I dispositivi disponibili per l'abbinamento sono elencati nella sezione Eligible Devices.

I dispositivi che potrebbero essere già stati abbinati con dispositivi mobili e che non sono disponibili per l'abbinamento sono elencati nella sezione Ineligible Devices.

4. Cliccare sull’icona della fotocamera per scegliere la zona desiderata. Dall’app è possibile scegliere una foto da Photo Library, scattare una foto con Take photo oppure usare la foto di default da Use Default Photo. Quindi premere OK e procedere.

5. Cliccare sul nome del dispositivo per modicarlo.

6. Cliccare > sulla destra per scegliere il tipo di stanza, quindi cliccare su OK.

7. Toccare e tenere premuti i tasti MAX/MIN a entrambe le estremità per modicare temperatura/umidità/pressione, oppure far scorrere il tasto no alla ne per disattivare le notiche.

8. Cliccare su Edit per cambiare i messaggi di default relativi a temperatura massima-minima/umidità/pressione. Cliccare su OK per confermare la scelta.

9. Cliccare su OK per confermare la scelta e uscire dalla schermata Add Device. Verrà visualizzato il messaggio Room setting update successfully. Cliccare su OK e il dispositivo sarà pronto all’uso.

10. Il dispositivo intelligente potrebbe richiedere alcuni minuti dopo l’istallazione per scaricare i dati.

• La modalità di abbinamento del Weather

si spegne dopo 30 secondi.

Per ottenere i migliori risultati:

• Posizionare il sensore fuori dalla luce solare diretta e lontano dall’umidità.

MENU DISPOSITIVO

Weather+ inizia a memorizzare i dati dopo l’abbinamento alla app. Cliccare per rivedere gli allarmi meteo e lo storico dati del Weather + selezionato. Memorizza i dati meteo no a 20 giorni a intervalli di 15 minuti.

• Cliccare su Alert per rivedere lo storico degli allarmi

meteo. Cliccare su more… per rivedere tutto lo storico meteo per questa categoria.

• Per cancellare i dati far scorrere il dito verso sinistra per cancellare una singola voce, oppure cliccare su

Clear All per cancellarle tutte.

• Cliccare su History per rivedere lo storico meteo. L’app visualizza lo storico dati di meteo, la temperatura

massima/minima, l’umidità e la pressione; cliccare per scegliere il formato di visualizzazione desiderato tra giornaliero, settimanale, mensile o annuale.

• Far scorrere il dito sullo schermo per visualizzare il periodo precedente o successivo.

di tempo desiderato. L’app controllerà l’allarme nell’intervallo di tempo desiderato.

• Cliccare su Do Not Disturb per impostare l’intervallo

di tempo in cui il proprio dispositivo mobile riceverà le notiche senza emettere suoni.

• Cliccare su OK per confermare le impostazioni.

RISOLUZIONE DEI PROBLEMI

conserva i dati del meteo fino a 20 giorni. Se il proprio dispositivo mobile è rimasto scollegato da Weather+ per più di 20 giorni, l’app potrà recuperare solo i dati degli ultimi 20 giorni. Assicurarsi di tenere il proprio dispositivo mobile collegato a Weather+ per ricevere i dati.

I dati in tempo reale non si aggiornano quando premo

PRECAUZIONI

INFORMAZIONE AGLI UTENTI

Ai sensi dell’art.26 del Decreto Legislativo 14 marzo 2014, n. 49 “Attuazione della Direttiva 2012/19/UE sui riuti di apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche (RAEE)” ed ai sensi dell’art.22 del Decreto Legislativo 188 del 20 novembre 2008 “Attuazione della direttiva 2006/66/CE concernente pile, accumulatori e relativi riuti “.

Il simbolo del cassonetto barrato riportato sull’apparecchiatura o sulla sua confezione indica che il prodotto alla ne della propria vita utile deve essere raccolto separatamente dagli altri riuti per permetterne un adeguato trattamento e riciclo.

Si ricorda che le pile/accumulatori devono essere rimosse dall’apparecchiatura prima che questa sia conferita come riuto. Per rimuovere le pile/ accumulatori fare riferimento alle speciche indicazioni riportate nel manuale d’uso.

L’utente dovrà, pertanto, conferire gratuitamente l’apparecchiatura e la pila giunta a ne vita agli idonei centri comunali di raccolta differenziata dei riuti elettrici ed elettronici, oppure riconsegnarle al rivenditore secondo le seguenti modalità:

• sia pile portatili sia apparecchiature di piccole dimensioni, ovvero con almeno un lato esterno non superiore a 25 cm, è prevista la consegna gratuita senza obbligo di acquisto presso i negozi con una supercie di vendita delle apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche superiore ai 400 mq. Per negozi con dimensioni inferiori, tale modalità è facoltativa.

• per apparecchiature con dimensioni superiori a 25 cm, è prevista la consegna in tutti i punti di vendita in modalità 1 contro 1, ovvero la consegna al rivenditore potrà avvenire solo all’atto dell’acquisto di un nuovo prodotto equivalente, in ragione di uno a uno.

L’adeguata raccolta differenziata per l’avvio successivo dell’apparecchiatura e delle pile/accumulatori dismessi al riciclaggio, al trattamento e allo smaltimento ambientalmente compatibile contribuisce ad evitare possibili effetti negativi sull’ambiente e sulla salute e favorisce il reimpiego e/o riciclo dei materiali di cui essi sono composti.

Lo smaltimento abusivo di apparecchiature, pile ed accumulatori da parte dell’utente comporta l’applicazione delle sanzioni di cui alla corrente normativa di legge.
