NOTE: Never operate the steam mop without the microfiber steam mop pad in place.

3.Grasp the water tank release lever and pull forward and up to remove the water tank.

USE & MAINTENANCE

Maintenance

1.When you have finished steam cleaning, ensure the ORECK VersaVac’s function selector dial is turned to the “OFF” position and that the plug is removed from the wall.

2.Empty the remaining water from the water tank.

3.Remove Microfiber steam mop pad and launder. The steam pads can be machine washed in hot water, up to 140˚F. For heavily soiled pads, soak in warm water with detergent or a mild stain remover. Allow cloths to dry completely before storing. NOTE: DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTENER

Replacing the Hard Water Filter

The hard water filter will help filter minerals that reduce the effectiveness of the steam cleaner. Depending on hard water conditions and/or use frequency, the filter should be replaced every 12 months.

The Oreck VersaVacwill work using plain tap water. However, if you live in a hard water area, the minerals that form the hard water will reduce the life of the water filter installed in the Oreck VersaVac. This will eventually allow deposits to build up in the heater of your product, which will reduce its performance. To prolong the life of your filter and heater, we recommend using distilled or de-mineralized water in your product in hard water areas.

!

WARNING: Unplug cord from electrical outlet

before servicing.

Brushroll Maintenance

A little preventative maintenance will keep your ORECK VersaVaclooking new and will ensure continued cleaning effectiveness. Remove brushroll at least once a month to check for and remove excessive lint, string or hair from the revolving brushroll.

When the brushroll stalls, the “BRUSHROLL ON” light will flash. To reset turn switch to off and back on. If an obstruction is present, unplug unit and remove the obstructing object. Plug the unit back in and the VersaVac is ready to clean.

IMPORTANT: To remove brushroll, rotate brushroll release screw 1/4 turn until the indicator is aligned with the “unlock” symbol.

Replacing the Brushroll

The brushroll is designed for long life. Should it ever become worn or frayed, it can be replaced by an ORECK authorized Service Center.

Exhaust Filter Maintenance

Remove filter cover by pushing down on the tab and pulling away from the unit. Remove filter from the back side of cover and rinse until clean, then allow the filter to dry thoroughly before placing it back in the filter cover. Install the filter cover by aligning the bottom of the cover with the unit and then pivoting the cover into place. Cover will make a “snap” sound when it is in place.

Vacuum Filter Maintenance

Remove dust bin from unit. Pull filter assembly from the dust bin. Rotate course outer filter counter clockwise and remove the course filter. Rotate main filter counter clockwise and remove the main filter. Pull foam outer filter off the bottom of the main filter. Rinse the course filter, foam filter, and main filter and allow to dry thoroughly before reassembling the filter. Place foam filter back over the main filter from the bottom. Insert the main filter into the filter housing. Rotate main filter clockwise to install the main filter. Place the coarse filter over the main filter and align the unlock symbol with the arrow on the coarse filter. Rotate course outer filter clockwise until you hear a “click” to install the course filter. Place filter assembly back into the dust bin. Replace the dust bin back into the unit.
