Assembling the speaker stand
Attach the additional top panel to the original top panel by inserting and tightening the additional top panel screws in the appropriate screw holes in accordance with the size of the speaker.
Secure the D-312E speaker to the stand.
Use the speaker affixing screws and teflon washers to install and secure the speaker to the stand, as shown in the illustration.
Insert the spikes into the spike holes in the base.
Onkyo recommends that you use the included spikes for improved sound quality. However, be aware that spikes may leave scratches or traces on a wooden floor.

Maintenance
To keep the stand clean, occasionally wipe off dust using a soft dry cloth. To remove dirt, dilute a neutral detergent (e.g., a 6-to-1 water/detergent solution). Lightly dampen a cloth using the diluted detergent solution, then wipe off the dirt. Then, wipe off any detergent from the surface using a water-soaked cloth. Finally, wipe the surface using a soft dry cloth. Do NOT use alcohol or a thinner solvent or allow the surface to remain wet. Otherwise, the stand may be deformed or discolored.
