The OMEGA® GST and HGST low noise connectors
are designed to provide easy connection of ground
wires to OMEGA®probes and extension wires. The
drain wire of a 20 AWG twisted shield cable or the
shield of the overbraided wire is crimped and held in
place by their internal hardware. They have excellent
thermal and electrical characteristics to assure high
accuracy. Each connector includes a write-on window,
and external ground strap to provide additional
mechanical rigidity and strengthen the mechanical
bond between the connectors. Ground straps also
maintain the electrical contact through the connector,
protecting against electrical noise errors.
