thereby causing inaccurate grindso The chuck is then set in the machine (see Jaws #l) by grasping the handles in the left hand and pulling the slide back go that the ctock can be laid on the surface between the. Jaws* when the grip i© released* a spring pushes the jaws together and the drill and ©buck are rigidly supported. Be ©ure the chuck is properly seated in the <mw©<> The holder is then oscill&ted b; letting the holder lay in the left hand, (do not grip from above) and the first lip i® ground by using th© feed screw (4) to feed the drills, to the wheel* then back th© drill away from th© wheel by lifting the handle (8) to a vertical position.
When one lip is ground* ‘

If it is necessary to tighten the belt The motor is supported in a swinging frame and its weight Trill give the
, loosen screw (g) and then tighten it
proper belt tension.
The machine may be equipped for grinding left hand drills with varying point angles or for grinding and thinning the regular thick web oil hole drills. The results are very accurate and efficient and the operation very quickly performed.
(Parts supplied as extras).
Shoulder drills the point as usual, then setting out until the shoulder occupies approximately the same position. The bearing.. Fig. 6, is then adjusted sidewise until the
; Fig. D, are ground by first setting in the jaws to grind
