Paper
Supported Paper Types
For high-quality printing and to avoid printing problems, be sure to use the supported paper types.
Please use digital photo print paper.
Please check the print quality and the movement of the paper sufficiently beforehand to make sure that
there are no problems. Your machine supports the following types of paper.
Using paper other than the recommended print paper may result in unstable paper output depending on
how the front/back of the paper is loaded. In this case, check beforehand by inserting the paper in the
reverse orientation etc, and confirm that the paper is output correctly before use.

Paper Recommendations
Your MFP will handle a variety of print media,
including a range of paper weights and sizes.
This section provides general advice on choice of
media, and explains how to use each type.
The best performance will be obtained when
2
using standard 75~90g/m
paper designed for
use in copiers and laser printers.
Use of heavily embossed or very rough textured
paper is not recommended.
Pre-printed stationery can be used, but the
ink must not offset when exposed to the high
fuser temperatures used in the printing process.
Envelopes
Envelopes should be free from twist, curl or other
deformations.
They should also be of the rectangular flap type,
with glue that remains intact when subjected to
hot roll pressure fusing used in this type of
printer. Window envelopes are not suitable.
Labels
Labels should also be of the type recommended
for use in copiers and laser printers, in which the
base carrier page is entirely covered by labels.
Other types of label stock may damage the
printer due to the labels peeling off during the
printing process.
Storing Paper
Store paper in the following conditions to
maintain quality:
z Inside a cabinet or other dry and dark place
z On a flat surface
z Temperature: 20°C
z Humidity: 50% RH (relative humidity)
Avoid placing:
z Directly on the floor
z In the direct sunlight
z Near the inside of an exterior wall
z On an uneven surface
z Where static electricity may be generated
z Where temperature rapidly changes
z Near a printer, air conditioner, heater, or duct
Note
z Do not unwrap the paper until you are ready to use the
paper.
z Do not leave paper unwrapped for a long period. Doing so
may result in paper handling and print quality issues.
