Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für ein Oehlbach Produkt entschieden haben. Der Oehlbach

FM Tower 17 wurde entwickelt um einen scharfen und klaren Empfang von FM und AM Signalen
zu ermöglichen. Die Entwicklungsabteilung von Oehlbach hat eine Antenne entworfen, die aktuelle
Technologie mit außergewöhnlichem Design verbindet. Der FM Tower 17 ist innerhalb von Minuten
installiert und einfach zu bedienen. Radio-Empfangsgeräte und Receiver können verschiedene
Anschlussmöglichkeiten haben. Bitte finden Sie die richtige Verbindung und befolgen Sie den Anwei­sungen dieser Bedienungsanleitung.

FM Verbindung

Ihr FM Tower 17 hat als Zuleitung eine Koaxial-Verbindung die auf 75 Ohm Wellenwiderstand genormt
ist, so dass Sie diese an alle gängigen Radiogeräte anschließen können.

AM Verbindung

Der FM Tower 17 benutzt ein zweiadriges Anschlusskabel für die Verbindung mit dem AM-Eingang
des Radiogerätes bzw. Receivers. Wenn der Anschluss Federkraft-Klemmen besitzt, können Sie die
beiden Adern direkt dort anschließen. Bei verschraubten Anschlüssen können Sie die Adern um die
Schrauben wickeln und dann festziehen.

Stromversorgung

Stecken Sie den Klinkenstecker des Netzteils in die dafür vorgesehene Buchse der Antenne.
Anschließend können Sie das Netzteil mit einer Steckdose verbinden. Bitte beachten Sie: Wenn das
Netzteil eingesteckt ist, wird die Antenne mit Strom versorgt. Da das Netzteil aber sehr wenig Leistung
hat, kann dies vernachlässigt werden. Um die Netzspannung zu trennen, benutzen Sie bitte eine
abschaltbare Steckdose.

Positionierung

1. Alle Arten von Antennen werden durch elektromagnetische Felder beeinflusst. Um die
beste Performance zu erreichen, sollten sie die Antenne mit ausreichend Abstand zu Receivern,

Tunern, CD/DVD-Playern, Fernsehgeräten und Computern platzieren. Bitte beachten Sie: Anten­nen funktionieren am besten wenn CD-Player, Videorecorder und Computer abgeschaltet sind.

2. Positionieren Sie die Antenne nicht in der Nähe von großen Metall-Objekten. Das beste Ergebnis
erzielen Sie, wenn die Antenne an einem Fenster platziert wird.

3. Es ist möglich, dass an manchen Orten in Ihrer Umgebung keine Radiosignale empfangbar sind.
Dies kann auch in Gebäuden der Fall sein, die mit Aluminium oder Metall geschirmt sind. In die­sem Fall sollten Sie versuchen die Antenne an verschiedenen Orten zu positionieren bis der beste
Empfang erzielt wird.

Regelbare Verstärkung

Auf der Vorderseite der Antenne befindet sich der Einstellknopf für die Antennenverstärkung. Mit
diesem können Sie auf mechanische Weise die Verstärkung erhöhen oder minimieren. Je weiter Sie
von dem Sendeturm entfernt sind, desto größer sollten Sie die Verstärkung wählen. Befinden Sie sich
in der Nähe eines Sendeturms, sollten Sie die Verstärkung verkleinern, da sonst Verzerrungen und
Signalsättigung auftreten können.

Einhaltung von EU-Richtlinien

Dieses Produkt darf das CE-Zeichen führen. Es entspricht der EU-Niederspannungsrichtlinie 2006/95/
EG; EU-Richtlinie 2004/108/EG; EU-RoHS-Richtlinie 2002/95/EG; EU-Richtlinie über Elektro-und

Wir gratulieren Ihnen! Durch Ihre kluge Wahl sind Sie Besitzer einer OEHLBACH® Antenne geworden.
OEHLBACH® Antennen erfreuen sich aufgrund der hohen Qualität eines ausgezeichneten Rufes
weltweit. Dieser hohe Qualitätsstandard ermöglicht es für OEHLBACH® Antennen 2 Jahre Garantie zu
gewähren. Die Produkte werden während des gesamten Fertigungsvorganges laufend kontrolliert und
geprüft. Im Servicefall beachten Sie bitte folgendes:

1. Die Garantiezeit beginnt mit dem Kauf des Produktes und gilt nur für den Erstbesitzer.

2. Während der Garantiezeit beseitigen wir etwaige Mängel, die nachweislich auf Material- oder
Fabrikationsfehler beruhen, nach unserer Wahl durch Austausch oder Nachbesserung der defekten
Teile. Weitergehende Ansprüche, insbesondere auf Minderung, Wandlung, Schadenersatz oder
Folgeschäden sind ausgeschlossen. Die Garantiezeit wird von einer Garantieleistung durch uns
nicht berührt.

3. Am Produkt dürfen keine unsachgemäßen Eingriffe vorgenommen worden sein.

4. Bei Inanspruchnahme der Garantie wenden Sie sich bitte zunächst an Ihren Fachhändler. Sollte es
sich als notwendig erweisen, das Produkt an uns einzuschicken, so sorgen Sie bitte dafür, dass

· das Produkt in einwandfreier Originalverpackung verschickt wird,

· die Kaufquittung beigefügt ist.

5. Von der Garantie ausgenommen sind:

· Leuchtmittel

· Verschleißteile

· Transportschäden, sichtbar oder unsichtbar (Reklamationen für solche Schäden müssen
umgehend bei der Transportfirma, Bahn oder Post eingereicht werden.)

· Kratzer in Metallteilen, Frontabdeckungen u.s.w. (Diese Defekte müssen innerhalb von 5 Tagen
nach Kauf direkt bei Ihrem Händler reklamiert werden.)

· Fehler, die durch fehlerhafte Aufstellung, falschen Anschluss, unsachgemäße Bedienung (siehe
Bedienungsanleitung), Beanspruchung oder äußere gewaltsame Einwirkung entstanden sind.

· Unsachgemäß reparierte oder geänderte Geräte, die von anderer Seite als von uns geöffnet
wurden.

· Folgeschäden an fremden Geräten

· Kostenerstattung bei Schadensbehebung durch Dritte ohne unser vorheriges Einverständnis.

Thank you, for choosing an Oehlbach product. The Oehlbach FM Tower 17 has been de-

veloped to enable a sharp and clear reception of FM and AM signals. The development department at
Oehlbach has created an antenna that combines state-of-the-art technology with exceptional design.

The FM Tower 17 can be installed within minutes and is easy to use. Radio reception sets and
receivers can have different connection options. Please find your correct connection option and follow
the instructions in this user manual.

FM connection

Your FM Tower 17 is supplied with power via a coaxial connection that has a standard 75 ohm
impedance level, which means it can be connected to all common radio devices.

AM connection

The FM Tower 17 is connected to the AM input on your radio or receiver via a two-wire connecting
cable. If the connector features spring-loaded terminals, you can connect the two wires directly. If you
have screw connections, you can wrap the wires around the screws and then tighten them in place.

Power supply

Insert the jack of the mains adapter into the designated socket on the antenna. You can then connect
the mains adapter to a power outlet. Please note: When the mains adapter is plugged in, the anten­na is supplied with electri-city. As the mains adapter has very little output, however, this is negligible.
To disconnect the mains voltage please use a switchable power outlet.

Positioning

1. All types of antenna are affected by electromagnetic fields. In order to achieve the best possible
reception you should position the antenna at a sufficient distance to receivers, tuners, CD/DVD
players, TVs and computers. Please note: Antennas work best when CD players, VCRs and
computers are switched off.

2. Do not position the antenna in close proximity to large metal objects. The best results are pro­duced when the antenna is positioned near a window.

3. Some places in your surrounding area may not be able to receive any radio signals. This may be
the case for buildings that are shielded with aluminium or metal. In this case you should try to
position the antenna at different locations until the best reception is achieved.

Adjustable gain

An adjusting knob is located on the front of the antenna for antenna gain. This enables you to
mechanically increase or reduce the level of gain. The further you are away from the transmitter mast,
the bigger the gain required. If you are located near a transmitter mast, you should reduce the level of
gain as this can cause distortion and signal saturation.

Warranty

Congratulations! Thanks to your intelligent choice you are now the proud owner of an OEHLBACH®
antenna. OEHLBACH® antennas enjoy an an excellent reputation around the world due to their high
quality. This high quality standard allows us to provide a 2 year warranty for OEHLBACH® antennas.
The products are continuously inspected and checked throughout the entire manufacturing process. If
service is necessary, however, please observe the following:

1. The warranty period starts with the purchase of the product and only applies to the original owner.

2. During the warranty period we will rectify any defects that are due to faulty material or workman­ship by replacing or repairing the defective part at our discretion. Further claims, and in particular
those for price reduction, cancellation of sale, compensation for damage or subsequent damage,
are excluded. The warranty period is not affected by any work we provide under the warranty.

3. The product should not be tampered with.

4. In the event of a warranty claim please contact your authorised dealer first. Should it prove neces­sary to return the product to us, please ensure that

· the product is sent in its original factory packaging in good condition,

· your proof of purchase is enclosed.

5. The following are excluded from the warranty:

· Illuminants

· Wear parts

· Shipping damages, either readily apparent or concealed (claims for such damages must be
lodged immediately with the shipping agent, the railway express office or the post office).

· Scratches in metal components, front panels, etc. (You must notify your authorised dealer
directly of such defects within 5 days of purchase).

· Defects caused as a result of incorrect installation, faulty connection, improper operation (see
user manual), overloading or external force.

· Improperly repaired or modified devices that have been opened by a party other than us.

· Subsequent damage to other devices

· Reimbursement of costs for repairing damage that has been caused by a third party without our
prior consent.

Nous vous remercions d’avoir choisi un produit Oehlbach. La FM Tower 17 d’Oehl-

bach a été conçue pour permettre une réception claire et précise des signaux FM et AM. Le service
développement d’Oehlbach a créé une antenne associant la technologie actuelle à un design hors du
commun. Il suffit de quelques minutes pour installer la FM Tower 17, par ailleurs très simple
d’utilisation. Les appareils de réception radio et les récepteurs peuvent présenter diverses possibilités
de raccordement. Vous trouverez dans ce mode d’emploi le type de connexion approprié et les
instructions correspondantes.

Connexion FM

Votre FM Tower 17 est équipée d’un câble coaxial avec une impédance caractéristique de 75Ohm,
que vous pouvez raccorder à tous les appareils radio courants.

Connexion AM

La FM Tower 17 utilise un câble à deux brins conducteurs pour la connexion à l’entrée AM de l’appa­reil radio ou du récepteur. Si la connexion est équipée de broches à ressort, vous pouvez y raccorder
directement les deux brins. Si elle est équipée de raccords vissés, vous pouvez enrouler les brins
autour des vis, puis visser.

Alimentation électrique

Insérez la fiche jack de la prise secteur dans la douille appropriée de l’antenne. Vous pouvez ensuite
brancher la prise secteur. Attention: une fois la prise secteur branchée, l’antenne est alimentée.
La puissance de la prise secteur est très faible, et même négligeable. Utilisez une prise de courant
désactivable pour couper l’alimentation secteur.

Positionnement

1. Tous les types d’antennes subissent l’influence des champs électromagnétiques. Pour obtenir des
performances optimales, vous devez placez l’antenne à une distance suffisante des récepteurs,
tuners, lecteurs de CD/DVD, téléviseurs et ordinateurs. Attention: les antennes fonctionnent
mieux lorsque les lecteurs de CD, magnétoscopes et ordinateurs sont hors tension.

2. Ne placez pas l’antenne à proximité de gros objets métalliques. Vous obtiendrez les meilleurs
résultats en plaçant l’antenne à côté d’une fenêtre.

3. Il est possible qu’aucun signal radio ne puisse être capté à certains endroits dans votre environ­nement. Cela peut également être le cas dans des bâtiments équipés d’un blindage en aluminium
ou en métal. Essayez dans ce cas de placer l’antenne à différents endroits jusqu’à ce que la
réception soit de bonne qualité.

Amplification réglable

Le bouton de réglage de l’amplification de l’antenne est placé en façade. Il permet d’augmenter ou de
réduire mécaniquement l’amplification. Plus vous êtes éloigné de l’antenne émettrice, plus vous devez
choisir une amplification importante. Si vous êtes proche d’une antenne émettrice, vous devez réduire
l’amplification pour éviter des distorsions et la saturation des signaux.

Ce produit peut être pourvu du marquage CE. Il satisfait à la directive UE relative à la basse tension
2006/95/CE, à la directive UE 2004/108/CE, à la directive RoHS de l‘UE 2002/95/CE et à la directive

leur niveau de qualité élevé. Ce standard de qualité permet d’offrir 2 ans de garantie sur les antennes
OEHLBACH®. Les produits sont contrôlés et vérifiés tout au long du processus de fabrication. En cas
d’intervention, veuillez noter les points suivants:

1. La durée de garantit court à compter de la date d’achat du produit, et n’est applicable qu’à
l’acheteur initial.

2. Au cours de la période de garantie, nous remédions à tout défaut de matériel ou de fabrication
apparu suite à l’achat, et choisissons suivant les cas de remplacer ou de réparer les pièces
défectueuses. Toute autre demande de prise en charge est exclue, en particulier en matière de ré­duction, conversion, indemnité ou dommages consécutifs. La durée de garantie n’est pas affectée
par nos interventions dans le cadre de la garantie.

3. Le produit ne doit avoir subi aucun traitement inapproprié.

4. Pour la mise en œuvre de la garantie, veuillez vous adresser initialement à votre revendeur spécia­lisé. S’il s’avère nécessaire de nous envoyer le produit, veillez à ce que

· le produit soit expédié dans son emballage d’origine en bon état,

· le ticket de caisse soit joint.

5. Les éléments suivants sont exclus de la garantie:

· Ampoules

· Pièces d’usure

· Dommages consécutifs au transport, visibles ou non (déposez immédiatement toute réclamation
pour ce type de dommages auprès du transporteur, de la SNCF ou de la poste).

· Rayures sur les pièces métalliques, les façades, etc. (ces défauts doivent faire l’objet d’une
réclamation auprès de votre revendeur dans les 5 jours suivant l’achat).

· Défauts apparus suite à une mauvaise installation, une erreur de raccordement, une utilisation
incorrecte (voir le mode d’emploi), une pression ou un choc externe.

· Appareils réparés ou modifiés de manière incorrecte, ayant été ouverts par un tiers.

· Dommages consécutifs sur d’autres appareils

· Remboursement en cas de réparation par des tiers sans notre accord préalable.
