Additional Power Requirements
NVIDIA FX 4500 X2 by PNY Technologies
The NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 X2 graphics board is a performance optimized high-end board. Power is taken from the PCI Express host bus and the auxiliary power connector. Without auxiliary power the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 X2 graphics board will run in emergency power mode with very low speed to be compliant with PCI Express specification of 75 W maximum via on port GPU_SLOW. For full performance, an external PCI Express power connector must be attached giving an additional 75 W through the 6-pin power connectors. The total input power will be 145 W maximum. A power supply 400 Watts or higher with a 12V Current rating of 27A is recommended.
