Tur n on th e teste r. Meanw hil e, the de fault o f sys tem is wi re ma p

Wire map testing (Take R J4 5 as a n ex am ple)
Turn on th e teste r, con nect on e end o f the cab le to emi tte r, and the
other e nd is con nec ted to RJ 45 po rt of rem ote ide nti fier.P ress “t est ”
to start , i f the cab le is s hield ed (o r earth ing wir e), L CD will d ispla y
“STP” ; if the ca ble i s unshi eld e (or ear thing w ire ), LCD wi ll disp lay
“UTP” ; press “ lig ht” key i n dim e nviro nment .
Test Result1: Short circuit (SHO RT )
If ther e is shor t cir cuit of c abl e or term inal, t hre e “tick , tick an d tic k”

of rece iver is s how n in the fo llo wing) . P ress “b ack light ” key whe n in
dim env ironm ent .
Usage of the receiver
Dis mount the batter y cove r, install batter y of 9V, press “ PUSH” k ey, th en
appro ach the c abl e with pr obe a nd find t arget w ire r equir ed amon g lot s
of cabl es. Whe n the p robe is n ear t arget w ire, th e “be ep, bee p and
beep” s ound ma y occur and th e signal indicat or lig ht “POWER” will be
on.Co mpare v olu me of “be ep, beep an d beep” a nd lu minan ce of sig nal
indic ator, the wi re which m akes sou nd is the loudest and the signal
ind icator is the brightes t is targ et one .

Other functions
(1) Low-v ol tage hint f unction
When th e batte ry vo ltage i s low, t he low- volta ge hi nt sign “ ”on LCD
will fl ash and t he us er shal l hav e the bat tery re pla ced at th is mome nt.
(2) Earph one functio n
The ear phone c an be used in noisy environ ment for operati on so as to
avo id ext ernal inter fer ence.
(3) Volu me adjust me nt functi on
Tur n “vo lume” s witch o n the re ceiver when tracing ca ble to adjus t.
(4) Flood light funct ion
The floo dlight can be started a t nig ht or in darkness envi ronment .
The f loodl ight tu rns o n so as to fa cilitate y our nor mal o perat ion.
(5) Keypa d so und start a nd stop fun ction
If the user needs to sto p keyp ad sound in tes t,the user can slightl y
tou ch “wi re sor ting” and hu nting key, the ke ypad sound is stopped;
if the keypad soun d is about to started a gain, t he op erati ons abo ve
shall b e repea ted s o that th e key pad sou nd is sta rte d.
