二. CCTV tester's Introduction

1.1 Safety Notice:

● Read this manual carefully before you use it.

● Pls check the power supply accessories good or not before you connect the power,and check

other relative accessories carefully.

● Meet the work conditions as below:

1.Temperature ：-20℃~65℃

2.Humidity ：30%~90%

3.Voltage: DC 12V /2A

● Don't use the tester where the humidity is high.Once the tester is damp,power off immediately,

pls move away other cables connected.

● To prevent the functional decline or failure, the item should not be sprinkled or damped.

● The exposed part of the tester should not be touched by the dust and liquid.

● During transportation and use, it is highly recommended to avoid the violent collision and

vibration of the tester, lest damaging components and causing failure.

● Don't leave the tester alone while charging and recharging. If the battery is found severely hot,

the tester should be powered off from the electric source at once. The test should not be charged over 8 hours.

● The tester should not be used in the environment with the flammable gas.

● Do not disassembly the instrument since no component inside can be repaired by the user. If

the disassembly is necessary indeed, please contact with the technician of our company.

● The instrument should not be used under the environment with strong electromagnetic

interference.

● Don't touch the tester with wet hands or waterish things.

● Don't use the detergent to clean and the dry cloth is suggested to use. If the dirt is not easy to

remove, the soft cloth with water or neutral detergent can be used., but the cloth should be tweaked sufficiently.

1.2 Notice of Digital Multimeter :

◆ Do not exceed the specific scale in case there is a breakdown.

◆ For your safety and to prevent electronic shock when test at above DC60V & AC40V.

◆ After make accurate gear option, then begin to test by inserting meter probe.

◆ Allowed not to insert meter probe before make gear option.

◆ Allowed not to test voltage at gear options of Resistance,Diode and contiunity.

◆ Allowed not to test Resistance,Diode and contiunity at gear option of voltage.

◆ Take out meter probe and leave the test point to change next test.

◆ Back to main mode as test different gear options with finding errors displayed on the screen window of the meter,and enter into meter test mode again to have the accurate gear position.

2.1 Overview:

The CCTV tester is developed for the On-Site installation and maintenance of video monitoring system. It can be used for displaying video, controlling PTZ, generating images, capturing data of RS485 and testing LAN cable etc. Its easy to operate, and simple for the technician to install and maintain CCTV system, improving work efficiency and get the labor cost down.

2.2 Features：

● 3.5 TFT-LCD , 960（H）×240（V）resolution.

● 3 kinds of language: Chinese, English and Spanish can be slected.

● Video Level testing, video signals measured in IRE or Mv.

● DC12V 1A power output for camera.

● Audio input testing .

● Digital multimeter, voltage, current, resistance and capacitance can be tested, continuity

testing, diode testing.

● PTZ control. Pan/tilts the P/T unit, zooms in/out the lens, adjusts the focus, aperture and sets

and calls the preset position.

● PTZ continuing rotate test.

● Video displaying. Automatically adapts and displays the video format of NTSC/PAL.

● LCD Brightness/Contrast/Color Saturation is adjustable.

● Video Generating, The PAL/NTSC multi-system color bar video generator (seven-system

switchable, transmit/receive seven-system colorful imagines) .

● Data analyst. Captures and analyzes RS485 controlling data to help the technician to find out

the problem.

● Cable testing. It is powerful in testing LAN cable, measuring the connecting status, displaying

the sequence of connection and the NO. Of the LAN cable.

● Multi-interface and Multi-baud rate. Support RS232 ,RS485 and RS422 interface; baud rate

ranging from 150, 600 to 19200bps.

● Multi-protocol.Supports more than twenty PTZ protocols.For example,PELCO-P,PELCO-D,

SAMSUNG etc.

● PTZ address scanning, search up the ID of PTZ camera.

● Lithium Ion Polymer Battery(3.7V DC3000mAh).The device employs advanced power control

and protection circuit. The device is high power-efficient, energy saving and environmental protection. It can last 12 hours for normal use after charging for 4 hours.

2.3 Function details

1. The video signal testing function (NF - 705 including sim ul at io n st an da rd d ef in it io n video CVBS, HD / 3 g - SDI HD video)

The built-in 3.5 inch TFT LCD screen, intuitive and convenient showed that the quality of the camera video equipment such as ball machine images Can be measured, Test the analog video signal, support NTSC/PAL image signal. also can directly test the HD/3g-SDI HD video signals, support 720 p24, 25,30,50,60;1080 p24, 25,30,50,60;1080 i50, 60 frame rate, etc.

2. The video signal attenuation analysis function

Test whether video signal intensity attenuation is too high or not. As the video signal Cable is too long cause decay, video signal attenuation can create image dim, reduce image dynamic range; if Video signal too strong,will cause the virtual shadow,lower image quality.This item can capture and analyze synchronization level signal test and analysis of synchronization Video signal attenuation amplitude, help to analyze video cable quality construction personnel. If beyond the normal range, the tester screen will have corresponding hints.

7. RS485 protocol testing

This product can control testing equipment output of RS485 signals, detect the detailed data of RS485 signal directly Shown on the screen,easy to get the capture and analysis to the signal data.

8. High precision digital multimeter functions (NF - 703, NF - 703)

This product is specially set up for the camera power supply DC12V/1 a power supply output port, provide temporary for the camera. The power supply. mainly used in some cameras live demonstration and test, at the same time, for some need to install the camera fields, because there is no power supply prior to the implementation of the scene, must find a temporary power supply for camera, it Plays a role of the power supply output.

5. Video color bar signal

This product can produce high standard color bar signal and white, blue, purple, green, yellow, black, red seven color standard video signal, NTSC / PAL video signals, video signal is optional. Video output to the external display device to help test Channel line,and the working state of the display devices are in good condition or not.

6. Ethernet cable testing

Cooperate with parts of the network cable test head, which can realize visualized wiring and wiring sequence, detection Cable is connected correctly or not, is open circuit or line order wrong, etc.

a. Turn “ON” to open the tester on the left side. b. Pls don't fix the battery by yourself to avoid any damages. c. Pls charge more than 4 hours of the battery to make sure can work normally. d. 3.4 Video Signal and Cloud Test

In the main menu mode,Pres s【2】to e nt er i nt o Vi de o Si gn al a nd C lo ud T es t.

1. Analog video signal test

1) Connect camera's video output pole to the host's Video input pole, the image can be displayed clearly on the LCD screen under mode of video and cloud test (Image 1).

2) The first line will displays the PTZ control address on the up-left s, and the second displays video form: PAL or NTSC, “NULL” means no signal (Image4).

3) To connect camera's video output pole to the host's Video input pole, and connect the host's Video output pole to monitor's Video input pole in the meantime, the video collected by camera will be displayed on screen.(image2).

2. PTZ Cloud Terrace Control Test

Decice connecting:

■To connect the device to PTZ camera (image3).

■The submenu of Video and Cloud Terrace Test as the below illustration.

A. PTZ Address Code set-up

1) Press【Address】key firstly and input controlled number to PTZ address or modify the address;

2) Press【Set-up】key to save, or press【Delete】to cancel

3) Press【MENU】key to hide PTZ control function menu l;

4) Long time Press【MENU】back to main menu.

B. PTZ Cloud Control When connect PTZ to the device correctly, the camera image will be displayed on screen. When through system set-up menu correctly to set up the communicating protocol, and after the baud rate choose the relative PTZ address, it is allowed to select if hide PTZ control menu or not on personal use, then user can follow the steps to control PTZ as below.

1) Press “ ” or “ ” key, PTZ Up/Down.

2) Press “ ” or “ ” key, PTZ Left/Right.

3) Press【Focus far】or【Focus near】to open or closed aperture， adjust aperture parameters;

4) Press【Focus Distant】or【Focus Close】to manually adjust focus parameters.

5) Press【Zoom Large】or【Zoom Minor】to manually adjust camera's zoom parameters.

C. Pre-set

1) Under the video and PTZ cloud terrace control, press 【Pre-set】and input your needed number to adjust the signal, press【set】key to confirm or press【Delete】key to give up setting. It is available to set up many times if we follow these steps.

3. Analysis of Video Signal Loss

Under the video and PTZ cloud terrace control with Analog Video Signal connecting in and being displayed formally , press 【1】 to procure parameter of Video Signal, it includes.

1) Maximum Vpp: Difference value between Maximum value and Minimum value of video signal solidity, the larger of the value is, the brighter the screen display is.

2) Average Vpp: indicates video signal strength difference between the maximum and minimum values of the average.

3) Synchronizing level: indicates the synchronizing level Video Signal strength, it is used to test coaxial cable's resistance. For example, if camera's synchronizing level is 0.3V(generated by connecting CCTV tester and camera）,after transmit in a exact distance , synchronizing level dEscends to 0.21V(generated by CCTV tester), in this case, it means that video signal solidity decayed for 30% and user procure the resistance of coaxial cable.

4) If there is no video signal access, it will indicates “NULL” .

3.5 Ethernet cable testing

1. As image 5 shown, connecting CCTV Tester net cable -cable tester

2. In main menu display, press number【3】to switch in mode of Ethernet cable testing;

3. Press【set】key to start testing,connecting status and it's sequence will display on LCD screen;

4. It is available for users to judge the network cable connecting situation according to the LCD displayed information.

5. Long Press 【MENU】Key to Esc mode of Ethernet cable testing, and back to main menu;

3.7 RS485 Signal control testing

1. Connecting probe of multimeter to CCTV Tester.

2. In main menu, press number【6】, switch into multimeter function menu:

1). Press“ ▲ ”or“ ▼ ” key （PTZ UP/DOWN）to set(DC voltage / AC voltage or Resistance/diode on-off measurement.

2). Press【Set】to to choose and switch into DC voltage / AC voltage.

3). Press【Set】key to choose and switch into Resistance/diode on-off measurement.

4). In digital multimeter mode, long press 【MENU】key to return back to main menu.

5). Working modes info. Displayed on TFT screen.

2). Before Choose the measuring gear,Pls don't put the probe on the measuring place , must choose the gear , then start to oprate.

3). In case of error displayed on screen when you check up testing information, please long press [MENU], Esc multimeter mode so as to reset it, and press number【6】enter again into multimeter mode to test at specific gear.

3.9 HD/3G-SDI Video Signal and Cloud Terrace Testing（NF-705）

When you open the device, press number 【7】to enter into mode of HD/3G-SDI video and cloud terrace testing.

1. HD/3G-SDI Analog Video Signal Testing.

To connect the video output pole to the HD/3G-SDI input pole, Images canl be displayed on the LCD screen clearly at the mode of HD/3G-SDI video and cloud terrace testing.

3. PTZ Address Code Setting

1).Press【Address】key and input number according to specific PTZ address or modify PTZ address.

2).Press【Set】key to save or press【Delete】key to Esc.

3).Press【MENU】key to hide PTZ control function.

4).Press【MENU】Key to return back to main menu.

4. PTZ Cloud Terrace Control. When connect PTZ to the device correctly, the camera image will be displayed on screen. 3.10 Power Supply for Camera (DC12V)

In image, connecting camera power input pole and CCTV Tester's power output pole by power cable : It takes different timing of power supply towards different device models. The camera in lower current than 1000mA is to be in more than 10 hours. The maximum current of power supply towards CCTV Tester is 1000mA, please make use of appropriate camera. Notice: CCTV Tester power output DC12V, please do utilize appropriate camera.

3.11 Audio Testing

It is requested to turn on in Setting Menu on ” at first step as audio testing, and connect audio signal to launch audio system.

四. Warranty

4.1 Warranty time

Since the delivery day:

1) Exchanging service within 7 days from the receiving day, we responsible for theFreight charge (battery exchanging service within 90 days from the receiving day).

2) Repairing service within 2 years, change accessories and repair for free, customers Should responsible for the freight charge (repairing service don't include battery).

3) We provide whole life repairing service for our products with proper charge,Customers should responsible for the freight charge.

4.2 Warranty exception

We provide repairing service with proper charge, customers responsible for the Freight charge.

1) Damage caused by abuse, unreasonable use, mistreatment, or neglect.

2) Damage caused by modification or repair not authorized by our company, working in hostile environments or natural disaster.

3) Damage caused by improper or improperly used packaging, or other devices work in the same system.

4.3 supplement

1) Company is not responsible for other assurance and other derivative from capital loss: The product and the user guides are not assured for particular users and some special purpose of use.

2) If the products returning for exchanging was damaged, modified or miss accessory,we will charge the proper payment.

3) If the components are no longer produced during the warranty-limited period,company will make a decision to replace similar products at no charge.

4) Don't offer exchanging service for special design products by customers.
