2.1 Cab le tr aci ng
2. 1.1 )Open ba tte ry c ove r, insta ll DC 9V ba ttery i n lau nc her, push th e
key of emitter to “scan” , the ind icator fla shes, whic h mean s the emitter
is n orm al.

Atten tio n:
1)If the ca ble to be traced i s ene rgized (＜60VDC) , use rs have to tu rn
the vol ume t o deg ree 1-3.
2)I f the c ab le t o b e tr ac ed is n on -e ne rg iz ed , users h av e to tu rn t he
volum e to de gre e 6-8.
2.2 Cabl e map pin g
2. 2. 1)Conn ec t ne tw ork line to the RJ45 port of emit te r an d re ce iver
separ ate ly.
2. 2.2 )Push th e key of re cei ver to “Tes t”, the i ndica tor f la she s, whic h
mean s the emitter is normal. th en go ahead with the test result.
(Note : use rs ca n press”SE T” to c hoo se the testi ng sp eed )

If UTP cable, No. 1-8 l eds w ill bli nk on e by on e in circula tio n.

If No . 2 & No.3 cable s are short ed, the No.2 & 3 Leds of rece iver won’ t

If No.2 cabl e is open , the No. 2 led of emitter and rec eive r won’t be on.

3.Main functio ns
3.1
trace STP/ UTP network ca ble (co nnec ted with exchanger or switc h
as bel ow)
Co nn ect the net wo rk c able to be tested t o RJ 45 p or t. P ush the key
of re ceiver to “ Scan”, th e indicator fl ashes, wh ich means t he receiv er
is norma l. Then hold the rece ive r to tr ace cable, keep the p rob e clo se
to cabl es an d jud ge the volum e.
When lo ude st vo ice is heard , it me ans i t is the targe ted c abl e.

Con nec t the telep hon e cable to be teste d to RJ11port. The n hold the
rec eive r to loca te the targeted cab le as wha t 3.1 said.
Note: in thi s case, users should alter the volume to degree 1-3 in order
to find out targeted cabl e precisely.

Connec t the telephon e cab le to be test ed to RJ11po rt. Th en ho ld the
recei ver t o loc ate the targ ete d cab le as what 3.1 s aid .
Not e: in this case , user s should alter the vo lume t o degree 1-3 in order

3.6.3) If No. 2 & No. 3 cables are shorted, the No.2 & 3 Led s of receiver
won’t b e.

3.7 Uni que f unc tion

directly inser t the cab le into RJ45 port of receiver to check its wire map.
If l ed s No .1 -8 i s on , it m ea ns t he c ab le i s no rm al. If n ot, the ca ble is
abnor mal . The d eta ils can be rea d fro m Cha pter 3.6.
Other functio ns :
(1) Low -vo lta ge hint func tio n
Wh en t he b at te ry v ol tage i s lo w(＜6V)， push the funct io n bu tt on t o
“scan” or “ test” , at th is ti me, both th e sca n indicator an d wir e sorting
indic ato r wil l flash, whi ch me ans t he battery s hou ld be r eplac ed.
(2) Ear pho ne fu nction
Th e ea rphon e ca n be w orn in nois y en vi ronme nt f or o perat io n so a s
to avoi d ext ern al interfe ren ce.
(3) Volume adjus tme nt fu nction

The sid e flo odl ight can be st art ed at n ight or in dar k.
The flo odl igh t turns on so as t o fac ili tate your no rma l ope ration.
