Congratulations on your purchase of the Motorola Expedience Express Card.

The Expedience® plugin card provides your laptop with the highest performance broadband wireless service on the market today. To get started, please check that all the required items are in your package.

To operate your Express Card, you will first need to install the software driver from the Expedience Software CD. Please temporarily disable any anti-virus programs before starting the installation

To begin, insert the CD in your CD drive. Do not plug

in your Express Card at this time.If the installer does not start up automatically, click START on your laptop screen, then RUN, and then type X:/setup, where

X is the drive letter for your CD drive (Usually D). After the Motorola introductory screen is displayed, please follow the instructions below to complete the installation of your Expedience Express Card.

The installer will guide you through the steps required to install Expedience Connection Manager on your computer. This is the first of two software components required for the Expedience Express Card.

NOTE: The Expedience Express Card should not be plugged into your computer while installing the software

For the best signal quality, flip up the antenna on your Express Card to a vertical position.

NOTE: Do not attempt to force the antenna past the vertical position, as this may damage your Express Card.

To avoid interference between the Expedience connection and any WiFi service available on your computer, tell the computer which wireless service to use. This dialog box appears every time you plug in your Express Card.

Click the Use Expedience box to start using your Express Card.

An icon appears in the Systray at the bottom right of the screen indicating the signal quality of the Expedience connection. Increasing signal quality is indicated by the number of green arcs, as shown:
