Nach dem Einschalten des Gerfltes kommuniziert der Microprozessor IC 1440 Ober einen PC-Bus, wlhrend der Vert. ROcklaufzeit,
mit den verschiedenen integrierten Schaltkreisen bzw. Modulen.
Dabei OberprOfl der Microprozessor (Sender) zunlchst ob Oberhaupt eine DatenObertragung m6glich ist. Sollte einer dieser
integrierten Schaltkreise ausfallen oder in seiner Peripherie ein Fehler vorliegen, so blinken eine oder mehrere LED’S laut folgender

After the set has been switched on, microprocessor IC 1440 communicates with the various integrated circuits and/or modules via an

PC bus during vertical retrace time.

While doing so, the microprocessor (transmitter) first of all checks whether it is at all possible to transmitdata. Should one ot these

integrated circuits fail, or should an error occur in its peripherals, one or several LED’s will start to flash, as detailed in the table below.

freien Betrieb an.

- If an error is detected in the chroma IV - IC
(IC 820) or in the vertical output stage, the set

will switch to stand-by mode, and the
corresponding LED’s will start to flash. The
same applies if there is an excessively high
beam current.

- If there is an EEPROM or l*C bus error, the
appropriate LED’s will start to flash, and the set
will remain in stand-by mode (without the stand­by- operating display ‘--“).

* If the satellite, radio or VT module is not fitted,

the set will display trouble-free operation.

Instructions for repair work

A. N.B.: (cc. switch-mode)

Please use only original component 3422 06 37 for C 711. If standard size electrolyt capacitor C 711 is used, parallel 0,47 PF MTK must be
installed additionally.

1. The power,pack can be oscillated when switching stageT720 (base open) has been disconnected.
The square-wave signals at pin 14 IC 710 (19-20 kHz) are interrupted for approx. 14 ms. The reason for this is that IC 780 (TEA 5170) is not
synchronized at pin 6.

In order to render IC 740 (TEA 5170) functional, this IC must be supplied with an external voltage at pin 2 (12 V).

N.B.i When the switching stage has been disconnected, discharge electrolytic capacitor C 712 before reconnecting (soldering) it.

With the horizontal output stage disconnected (e.g. connection 3 at Tr. 520 open) and a substitute load at the cathode of D 741
(109 W lamp), the power pack must supply approx. 109% of the setpolnt voltages for 2 sec.

3.

For servicing the set under operating conditions when the electronic fuse has activated, can be connected across C 713. if the electronic

fuse cuts out due to a momentary overload, the appliance can be re-started by switching the mains switch off and then on again.

4.

Make sure there is hum-free d.c. voltage available. For example: the ripple voltage of U, is approx. 4 V and should, due to capacitance loss

of C 742, not increase much more. The ripple voltages of the other d.c. voltages should be less than 1 V. The ripple voltages of Uo, Uo, Ug are

in the mV range.

Bei Reparaturen ist die Spannung zu UberprOfen und gegebenenfalls mit R 796 auf Sollwert einzustellen.

X-ray regulatIona: The picture tube type and the maximum permissible high-voltage ensure that the X-ray intensity within the set remains far below the permissible value. The

high-voltage must not exceed 29.5 kV (26”) 30,O kV (29”). The high voltage is within the permissible limits when the operating voltage of the horizontal deflection stage equals 150 V
(26”) 145V (29”) at minimum beam current. Following servicing, check and adjust this voltage to the nominal value with R 796.

16 : O-Format

Sollte kein 16:9 Testbild vorhanden sein, so ist bei einem 4:3 Fubk-Testbild nach untenstehender Abbildung abzugleichen d. h. der

Kreis sollte zu einer Ellipse mit dem Durchmesserverhlltnis 1:0,75 eingestellt werden.
Damit bei 16:9 Wiedergabe das Bild an der gleichen Position ist wie bei 4:3 Wiedergabe, sollten furV.POS, H.POS, H.AMP die selben
OSD-Werte wie fur .4:3 Format’ eingegeben werden.

Zoom-Format

Der Abgleich des Zoom-Formates basiert auf der 16: 9 Format-Einstellung. Im Zoom-Format sind mit den Funktionen V.AMP, H.AMP
und P.TILT das Verhaltnis 1,l :0,63 einzustellen.

16:9 adjustment with 4:3 test picture (Eurostereo Feature Plus Chassis)

16 : 9 format

If there is no 16:9 test picture, calibration has to be performed with a 4:3 Fubk test picture in accordance with the illustration below,
i.e. the circle should be elliptical in shape and have a diameter ratio of 1:0.75.

To ensure that the picture is in the same position with 16:9 reproduction as with 4:3 reproduction, you should enter for V.POS, H.POS,

H.AMP the same OSD values as for the ‘4:3 format”.

Zoom format

Zoom format calibration is based on the 16:9format setting. In the zoom format, the VAMP, H.AMP and P.TILTfunctions must be used
to set the ratio 1 .l : 0.63.

Afin qua I’image se trouve, lors de la reproduction 16:9, a la meme position que lors de la reproduction 4:3, les memes valeurs OSD
devraient etre introduites pour V.POS, H.POS, H.AMP que pour le format 4:3.

Format zoom

L’equilibrage du format zoom est base sur le reglage de format 16: 9. Dans le cas du format zoom, reglez le rapport 1 ,l : 0,63 par les
fonctions V.AMP, H.AMP et P.llLT.

Qualora non fosse presente nessun monoscopio di format0 16: 9, si dovra eseguire I’equilibratuca con un monoscopio Fubk di format0
4:3 come dall’illustrazione riportata piu oltre, cioe il circuit0 deve essere ellittico ed avere un rapport0 di diametro di 1 :0,75.
Affinche nella riproduzione con format0 da 16:9 I’immagine si trovi nella stessa posizione come per la riproduzione con format0 da
4:3, per V.POS, H.POS, H.AMP di devono immettere gli stessi valori OSD impostati per il mformato zoom 4:3~.

Format0 zoom

La compensazione del format0 zoom B basata sull’impostazione di format0 16 : 9. Nel format0 zoom va impostato il rapport0 1 ,l :0,83

unitamente alle funzioni V.AMP, H.AMP e P.llLT.
