AC-3, AC-4, AC-5, AC-8, and DC-4 chargers.
Warning: Use only chargers approved by Nokia for use
with this particular enhancement. The use of any other types may invalidate any approval or warranty and may be dangerous.
When you disconnect the power cord of any enhancement, grasp and pull the plug, not the cord.

Charge power pack

Before you can use the power pack to charge a battery in a compatible Nokia device, you must charge the internal battery of the power pack.
The power pack has an internal, nonremovable, rechargeable battery. Do not attempt to remove the battery from the device, as you may damage the device.
1. Plug the charger cable into the charger connector indicated with “DC IN“.
2. Connect the charger to a power source. The green indicator lights roll while charging. The more lights are shown, the more charge is left in the power pack. Charging the power pack fully may take up to 10 hours if the power pack is not connected to a Nokia device.
3. When the battery is fully charged, all four green indicator lights are

shown. Disconnect the charger from the power source, and unplug the charger cable from the power pack.
While the power pack is connected to a charger, you can use the power pack to charge one or two Nokia devices.
If the power pack cannot be charged (for example, because the operating temperature is too low or high), the red indicator light is shown.
To check how much charge is left in the power pack when it is not connected to a device, press and hold the power key for about 2 seconds. If the amber indicator light is shown, the power pack is discharged and must be charged again for use.

Charge a device battery

You can use the power pack to charge a battery in two compatible Nokia devices at the same time.
To charge a device battery when no charger is connected to the power pack, do the following:
1. Connect your Nokia device to either charger plug.
• To connect the device to the
charger plug provided with a rewindable cable, lift the edge of the rubber cover, uncoil the cable, and insert the plug into the charger connector on your device.
• To connect the device to the
“DC OUT“ plug, insert one end of the supplied connectivity cable to the plug and the other end to the charger connector on your device.
ENGLISH
2. Press and hold the power key for about 2 seconds to switch on the power pack. The green indicator lights are shown if the power pack has charge.
The green indicator lights roll while
charging. (When you charge a lowpower device such as a Bluetooth headset, the green lights may be continuously shown at the final stage of charging.) The less lights are shown, the less charge is left in the power pack. If the amber indicator light is shown, the power pack is discharged and must be charged again for use.
3. Check the charge level from the connected device.
4. To end the charging and switch off the power pack, press and hold the power key (for about 5 seconds)
until the indicator lights turn off, and unplug the device from the charger plug.
If you used the charger plug
provided with the rewindable cable, coil the cable, and push the plug inside the rubber cover.
You can also switch on the power pack before connecting it to a Nokia device.

Battery information

Your device is powered by a rechargeable battery. The battery can be charged and discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear out. Recharge your battery only with Nokia approved chargers designated for this device.
If left unused, a fully charged battery will lose its charge over time.
Never use any charger that is damaged.
ENGLISH
In this case, the power pack automatically switches off within 30 seconds to save power if it is not connected to a Nokia device during that time.
The fully charged power pack has power to fully charge a 950 mAh battery three times.
Always try to keep the battery between 15°C and 25°C (59°F and 77°F). Extreme temperatures reduce the capacity and lifetime of the battery. A device with a hot or cold battery may not work temporarily. Battery performance is particularly limited in temperatures well below freezing.
Do not dispose of batteries in a fire as they may explode. Batteries may also explode if damaged.

Care and maintenance

Your device is a product of superior design and craftsmanship and should be treated with care. The following suggestions will help you protect your warranty coverage.
• Keep the device dry. Precipitation, humidity, and all types of liquids or moisture can contain minerals that will corrode electronic circuits. If your device does get wet, allow it to dry completely.
• Do not use or store the device in dusty, dirty areas. Its moving parts and electronic components can be damaged.
• Do not store the device in hot areas. High temperatures can shorten the life of electronic devices, damage batteries, and warp or melt certain plastics.
ENGLISH
• Do not store the device in cold areas. When the device returns to its normal temperature, moisture can form inside the device and damage electronic circuit boards.
• Do not attempt to open the device.
• Do not drop, knock, or shake the device. Rough handling can break fine mechanics.
• Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents to clean the device.
• Do not paint the device. Paint can clog the moving parts and prevent proper operation.
If the product is not working properly, take it to the nearest authorised service facility for service.
Disposal The crossed-out wheeled-bin symbol on your product,
literature, or packaging reminds you that all electrical and electronic products, batteries, and accumulators must be taken to separate collection at the end of their working life. This requirement applies to the European Union and other locations where separate collection systems are available. Do not dispose of these products as unsorted municipal waste.
By returning the products to collection you help prevent uncontrolled waste disposal and promote the reuse of material resources. More detailed information is available from the product retailer, local waste authorities, national producer responsibility organizations, or your local Nokia representative.
