Service Adapter JBS-23
The service adapter JBS-23 is used to connect Card phones RPE-1 and
RPM-1 to Nokia DCT3 SW upgrade environment and to enable WinTesla
usage with DAU-9P service cable. Since the card phone concept does not
have a battery as a power supply , a standard Nokia charger for DCT2 products (ACH-6E) is used as a power supply when WinTesla operations are
done DAU-9P cable.
When JBS-23 is used with SW upgrade environment, power must be supplied with standard test leads.

Flash Loading Adapter FLA-7
The flash loading adapter FLA-7 is used with JBS-23 and test leads in
CMT SW upgrade. Service cable SCH-5 is also needed. Power is supplied to FLA-7 from ACL-3 charger. Power for the FPS-4 can be connected via FLA-7 by SCF-7 DC power cable. The adapter is connected to
the flash prommer FPS-4S by the AXS-5 cable and to the security box
TDF-4 by the XCM-1 cable.
Previous version of the flash loading adapter, FLA-5, the version without
Communicator power outlet can also be used.

Flash Prommer FPS-4S (Sales Pack)
The flash prommer FPS-4S is used to update the main software of the
phone. Updating is done by first loading the new MCU software from the PC
to the flash prommer , and then loading the new SW from the prommer to the
phone. When updating more than one phone in succession, the MCU software only needs to be loaded to the prommer once.
The sales pack includes:

Note!
Due to hardware changes in RPM–1 product installation software
has been updated to contain RPM–1 specific files. Make sure that you
have newest FPS–4 software before you start setting up SW upgrade
equipment.

Security Box TDF-4
The security box TDF-4 is required for updating MCU software, and infra red
testing.
Note: TDF–4 is delivered in de–activated mode.
Fill in the enclosed Activation Request Form, and fax to NMP Salo to get
the activation code.

Service Cable SCH-5A
The service cable SCH-5A is used between the JBS-23 service adapter and
the flash loading adapter FLA-7. The difference between previous SCH-5
and now available SCH-5A is the design of A-version connector which can
be used with 71 10 phone as well. Old SCH-5 cables can be used with JBS-23
if A version is not available.

MBUS Cable DAU-9M
The MBUS cable DAU-9M has a 61**/51**/7110 phone system connector,
and is used between the JBS-23 box and external devices (laptops, PCs).
Only difference between previous version of DAU-9M, the DAU-9P is the
smaller design of DAU-9M connector. Old DAU-9P cables can be used with
JBS-23 if they are availabe.

Power ACH-6
ACH–6E charger is used as power supply for the JBS–23, when the
phone is controlled using the DAU–9M cable. Banana cables are not
needed when this setup is used.

RF cable XRP-2S
RF cable XRP-2S is used between RPM-1 card phone and RF measurement equipment to perform tuning operations. The standard antenna of
RPM-1 must be removed to connect the RF-cable into the phone.

SW Security Device PKD-1
SW security device is a piece of hardware enabling the use of the service
software when connected to the parallel (LPT) port of the PC. Without the
dongle present it is not possible to use the service software. Printer or any
such device can be connected to the PC through the dongle if needed.
Caution: Make sure that you have switched off the PC and the printer before making connections!
Caution: Do not connected the PKD-1 to the serial port. Y ou may damage
your PKD-1!

Opening Tool SRT-2
Opening tool SRT-2 is used to remove metal covers without damaging
them. If the RPM-1 is opened using a screwdriver or some other sharp
tool covers will be likely to be damaged and they can not be reused.

Standard Test Lead, Red and Black
Stackable standard test leads are used to connect JBS-23 to FLA-7. One
black and one red lead is needed.
Product Code
There is no product code for standard test leads. 500 mm long standard
leads with can be ordered in Europe for example from Farnell.
Farnell order code for 500 mm stackable test lead with 4 mm plugs is
523-719 for the red lead and
523-720 for the black lead.
