1 Introducing Nokia Call Connect for
Cisco Web Directory
Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory allows Call Connect users to search and call other Cisco Unified Communications Manager users. Users can access Web Directory either directly from Call Connect or from a phone browser.
Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory is delivered as an example service that you can install on a Windows server. Call Connect launches the device browser by using a predefined URL and the same WLAN access point that it uses to register to Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
Note
In S60 v3.0 devices, only one browser session can be open at a time.

Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory lists all Cisco Unified Communications Manager users and their extension numbers. The icons next to user names indicate the availability of the users for communication. You can list either all users or only users who are currently online.
Table 3 describes the meaning of the icons.

User is online. The device is registered to Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
User is online but has enabled call forwarding.
User is offline. The device is not registered to Cisco Unified Communications Manager.

Using Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory
Users can access Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory either directly from Call Connect or from the phone browser.

To allow users to access Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory from Call Connect, specify the Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory URL, http://server_IP_address/Eseries/
directory/, in mobile devices, as follows:
In S60 v3.1 devices, such as Nokia E51 and Nokia E90, specify the URL in SCCP settings.
In S60 v3.0 devices, deliver the URL to devices in a text file called ICCC_settings.txt that
you copy to the C:\Data\others\Intellisync folder.
You can deliver the device MAC address to Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory as a part of the URL to identify users and to provide personalized services for them. Specify the URL as follows:
http://server_IP_address/my_cucm_service/mymac=<MAC>
Nokia Call Connect resolves the MAC address of the device and uses it to redirect the user to personalized services.

Select Menu > Installat. > NICC for Cisco > Online Services.
Use the phone browser to access the following addresses:

Searching for Users
You can search for users in Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory.
To search for users from Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory
1. Enter a search string in the field.
Wildcards are automatically added to the end of the search string. When searching from Cisco Unified Communications Manager v5.x or v6.x, wildcards are also added to the beginning of the search string.
2. Select Search.
Using Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory
Listing Users
Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory lists all users from Cisco Unified Communications Manager. To make the list shorter, you can select to list only online users. That is, users who are currently registered to Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
To list users in Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory
Click List All Users to list all Cisco Unified Communications Manager users.
Click List Online Users to list users who are currently registered to Cisco Unified
Communications Manager.
Calling Users
You can call Cisco Unified Communications Manager users from Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory.

1. Select a user in Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory.
2. Select Yes.
3. In the Call Type list, select Internet Call.

This chapter describes how to install and configure Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory for use with the following Cisco Unified Communications Manager versions:

Cisco Unified Communications Manager v5.x and 6.x

You can install and run Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory either on the Cisco CallManager server or on a Windows 2000 or 2003 Server, as described in the following sections:

You need the following hardware and software to install and run Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory:

Windows 2000 SP3 or later or Windows 2003 server with IIS installed (optional)

Limitations
The following limitations apply to using Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory with Cisco CallManager v4.1.x:
Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory fetches the information to display and searches
from the Phone Description field or Line Alerting Name field.
Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory lists only phones the names of which begin
with the string SEP.
Installing Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory
Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory is delivered to you as an MSI package. Nokia recommends that you install Web Directory on a separate Windows server if the Cisco CallManager CPU is already heavily loaded.
To install Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory
1. Double-click Nokia Eseries Directory.msi.
The Welcome page opens.
2. Click Next.
The Select Installation Address page opens.
3. When installing on the Cisco CallManager, select a Web site in the Site list.
4. Click Next.
The Confirm Installation page opens.
5. Click Close.
6. Configure Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory as described in the following
section.
Configuring Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory
Use the Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory configuration tool to specify settings for Web Directory. The settings are stored in the Web Directory configuration file, C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Eseries\Directory\Settings\settings.txt. Specify Cisco CallManager address and version, administrator user name and password, and search options. The password is encrypted before storing.

To configure Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory
1. Start Nokia Eseries Directory.exe from the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\Eseries\Directory\Settings
directory.
The Nokia Eseries Directory Settings dialog opens:
2. In the IP Address field, enter the IP address or fully-qualified domain name of the Cisco
CallManager Publisher server.
3. In the Version of CallManager Server field, select 4.1.3 - 4.3.x.
4. In the Administrator User’s Username field, enter the user name of the Cisco CallManager
administrator.
5. In the Administrator User’s Password field, enter the password of the Cisco CallManager
administrator.
6. In the Select the Field to Search and to Display the Information From field, select Line’s
Alerting Name Field.
7. Select the Enable the List All Link and Function option to allow users to list all Cisco
CallManager users in Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory.

8. Select the Enable the List Online Link and Function option to allow users to list only
registered users in Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory.
9. Select the Extension Mobility is Enabled on CallManager option.
10. Optionally, in the Prefix for the Numbers field, specify a prefix for the numbers to call.
11. Click Save Settings.
Configuring Cisco CallManager
The Cisco CallManager configuration determines whether the search results are useful. You can use either the Line Alerting Name or Phone Description field to search from and to fetch user names from. If you use the Line Alerting Name to search and display from, Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory displays the user information as follows:
Alerting name (Line number)—John Doe (332)
If you specify that Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory searches from the Phone Description field, enter useful information into the field. For example:
Line number, first name last name—332, John Doe
Last name, first name (line number)—Doe, John (332)
You do not have to include the line number in the description field as the tel: URL uses the line number.

You can install and run Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory on a Windows 2000 or 2003 Server, as described in the following sections:

Cisco AXL Web Service must be activated on the Cisco Unified Communications Manager

Limitations
The following limitations apply to using Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory with Cisco Unified Communications Manager v5.x or 6.x:
You cannot install Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory on the Cisco Unified
Communications Manager server.
Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory uses the End User directory, but lists only
entries where the Line and Device are configured for Telephone Number.
Installing Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory
Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory is delivered to you as an MSI package. Install Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory on a Windows server.
To install Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory
1. Double-click Nokia Eseries Directory.msi.

Configuring Cisco Unified Communications Manager
The Cisco Unified Communications Manager configuration determines whether the search results are useful. Nokia Call Connect for Cisco Web Directory searches from the following fields in the End User directory:
Last Name
First Name
Phone Number
Therefore, you must enter information to these fields the End User Directory when you create users. The Phone Number field must contain the user’s line number.
