Thank you for trusting Niles to be the foundation of your home audio entertainment experience. The MRC-6430 has been designed to provide years of enjoyment and trouble free use. To protect your equipment from power surges and momentary power interruptions we strongly suggest you utilize a battery-backup power supply (UPS) with this equipment. Niles recommends Panamax UPS and power conditioning products for use with your MRC-6430.
The MRC-6430 is a modern music distribution and control system that provides your customer with a wide variety of operation options including; wall mounted, hand held, popular phone, and tablet interfaces. The MRC-6430 is simple and convenient to connect and program. Please follow the steps in this guide carefully to ensure top performance for your customer.

ImpORTANT SAFETy INSTRUCTIONS

5. Do not use this apparatus near wate r.
6. Clean o nly with a d ry cloth.
7. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
8. Do not install near any he at sources such as radiato rs, heat regis ters, stoves or other appa ratus (including ampliers) that produce heat.
9. Do not defeat the sa fety pu rpose of the polarized or groun ding-t ype plug. A polarized pl ug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding­type pl ug has two blades and a third grounding prong. T he wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your outl et, consult an electrician fo r replacement of the obsolete outlet.
10. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinch ed, par ticularly at plugs, c onvenie nce receptacles and the po int where they exit from the apparatus.
11. O nly use a ttachments/acces sories spec ied by the manufacturer.
12. Use only with the car t, stand, tripod, bracket or table specied by the manu facturer or sold with the appa ratus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid inju ry fro m tip-over.
13. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unu sed for long per iods of time.
14. Refer all se rvicing to qualied service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus ha s been damaged in any way, such a s power supply cord or plug is da maged, liquid has been spilled or objects have falle n into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
15. Do not expose this apparatu s to dripp ing or splashing and e nsure that no objects lled with liquids, such as vases, a re placed on the apparatus.
16. To completely disconnect this apparatus from the AC Mains, disconnect the power supply cord plug fro m the AC receptacle.
17. The power supply cord (sometimes referred to as the “Mains Plug”) is use d as the disconnect device and shall r emain accessible an d operable at all times.
18. Do not expose batteries to excessive heat such as sunshine, re o r the like.
19. Open ame sources, such as lighte d candl es, should N OT be placed on the apparatus.
