The TC-1.4x and TC-2.0x Z teleconverters are lens attachments that can be mounted between the main lens and a Nikon Z mount mirrorless camera to increase focal length. The TC-1.4x increases focal length by 1.4× and the TC-2.0x by 2.0×. Before using your new teleconverter, be sure to carefully read both this manual and the documentation provided with the camera and lens.

• The TC-1.4x and TC-2.0x can be used with Z mount lenses that support teleconverters, namely (as of May 2020) the NIKKOR Z 70–200 mm f/2.8 VR S.

• Update the ﬁ rmware for both camera and lens to the latest versions. The latest ﬁ rmware can be downloaded from the Nikon Download Center at the URL below.

• A TC-1.4x Z teleconverter is used in this manual for illustrative purposes.

Attaching and Removing the Teleconverter

Attaching and Removing the Teleconverter: Cautions

• Your teleconverter is for use with compatible Z mount lenses only.

- Do not attempt to attach incompatible lenses, teleconverters for F mount lenses, FTZ

mount adapters, or other incompatible accessories, as this could damage the teleconverter, lens, or accessory.

- Teleconverters cannot be attached to each other.

• Attach the lens to the teleconverter before attaching the teleconverter to the camera. Do not attempt to attach the teleconverter without ﬁ rst attaching a lens.

• The lens mount on the front face of the teleconverter extends further than the mount base. Elements inside the camera that come into contact with the lens mount could be damaged.

• Be

fore attaching or removing the teleconverter, turn the camera oﬀ and move to a

location out of direct sunlight.

Attachment (Figure 2)

z Attach the teleconverter to the lens.

• Align the lens mounting mark on the teleconverter with the lens mounting mark

on the lens (a - q) and rotate the teleconverter in the direction shown until it clicks into place (a - w).

• Be careful not to press the teleconverter lens release while attaching the teleconverter.

x Attach the assembly to the camera.

• Align the camera mounting mark on the teleconverter with the lens mounting mark on the camera (b - q) and rotate the teleconverter in the direction shown until it clicks into place (b - w).

• Be careful not to press the camera lens release button while attaching the teleconverter.

Removal (Figure 3)

z Remove the assembly from the camera.

• Hold the camera lens release button (a - q) while rotating the teleconverter in the direction shown (a - w). The teleconverter can be removed when the camera mounting mark on the teleconverter is aligned with the lens mounting mark on the camera.

x Remove the teleconverter from the lens.

• Hold the teleconverter lens release (b - q) while rotating the teleconverter in the direction shown (b - w). The teleconverter can be removed when the lens mounting mark on the teleconverter is aligned with the lens mounting mark on the lens.

Lens Speed

Mounting lenses on a teleconverter reduces their speed (eﬀ ective aperture, or “brightness”): by 1 stop in the case of the TC-1.4x and by 2 stops in the case of the TC-2.0x.

Precautions for Use

• Keep the CPU contacts clean.

• Should the rubber lens-mount gasket be damaged, cease use immediately and take the teleconverter to a Nikon-authorized service center for repair.

• Replace the teleconverter cap and lens cap when the teleconverter is not in use.

• Do not leave the teleconverter in humid locations or in locations in which it may be exposed to moisture. Rusting of the internal mechanism can cause irreparable damage.

• Do not leave the teleconverter next to open ﬂ ames or in other extremely hot locations. Extreme heat could damage or warp the reinforced plastic exterior.

• Rapid changes in temperature may cause damaging condensation inside and outside the teleconverter. Before taking the teleconverter from a warm to a cold environment or vice versa, place it in a bag or plastic case to slow the change in temperature.

• We recommend that you place the teleconverter in its case to protect it from scratches during transport.

Product Care

• Removing dust is normally suﬃ cient to clean glass lens elements.

• The  uorine- coated front and rear lens elements

- Smudges, ﬁ ngerprints, and other oily stains can be removed using a soft, clean cot- ton cloth or lens cleaning tissue; clean from the center outwards using a circular motion.

- To remove stubborn stains, wipe gently using a soft cloth lightly dampened with a small amount of distilled water, ethanol, or lens cleaner.

- Any drop-shaped marks left from this process on the water- and oil-repellent sur- face can subsequently be removed with a dry cloth.

• Never use organic solvents such as paint thinner or benzene to clean any part of the teleconverter.

• Do not store with naphtha or camphor moth balls or in direct sunlight. If the teleconverter will not be used for an extended period, store it in a cool, dry location to prevent mold and rust.

Using the Lens Case

• The case is intended to protect the teleconverter from scratches, not from falls or other physical shocks.

• The case is not water resistant.

• The material used in the case may fade, bleed, stretch, shrink, or change color when rubbed or wet.

• Remove dust with a soft brush.

• Water and stains can be removed from the surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use alcohol, benzene, thinner, or other volatile chemicals.

• Do not store in locations exposed to direct sunlight or high temperatures or humidity.

• Do not use the case to clean the monitor or lens elements.

• Be careful that the teleconverter does not fall from the case during transport.

Retrait (Figure 3)

z Retirez l’ensemble objectif-téléconvertisseur de l’appareil photo.

• Maintenez appuyée la commande de déverrouillage de l’objectif, située sur

l’appareil photo (a - q), tout en tournant le téléconvertisseur dans le sens indiqué (a - w). Vous pouvez retirer le téléconvertisseur lorsque le repère de montage de l’appareil photo, situé sur le téléconvertisseur, est aligné sur le repère de montage de l’objectif, situé sur l’appareil photo.

x Retirez le téléconvertisseur de l’objectif.

• Maintenez appuyé le bouton de déverrouillage du téléconvertisseur (b - q), tout en tournant le téléconvertisseur dans le sens indiqué (b - w). Vous pouvez retirer le téléconvertisseur lorsque le repère de montage de l’objectif, situé sur le téléconvertisseur, est aligné sur le repère de montage de l’objectif, situé sur l’objectif.

Luminosité de l’objectif

La ﬁ xation d’un téléconvertisseur à un objectif réduit la luminosité (l’ouverture eﬀ ective) de ce dernier: de 1diaphragme dans le cas du TC-1.4x et de 2diaphragmes dans le cas du TC-2.0x.

Précautions d’utilisation

• Veillez à ce que les contacts du microprocesseur restent propres.

• Si le joint en caoutchouc de la monture d’objectif est endommagé, cessez immédiatement toute utilisation et confiez le téléconvertisseur à un représentant Nikon agréé pour le faire réparer.

• Remettez en place le bouchon de téléconvertisseur et le bouchon d’objectif lorsque vous n’utilisez pas le téléconvertisseur.

• Ne laissez pas le téléconvertisseur dans des lieux humides ou dans des lieux où il risque d’être exposé à l’humidité. La formation de rouille sur les mécanismes internes peut provoquer des dommages irréparables.

• Ne laissez pas le téléconvertisseur à proximité de flammes ou dans d’autres lieux extrêmement chauds. La chaleur extrême peut endommager ou déformer l’extérieur en plastique renforcé.

• Les changements brusques de température peuvent être à l’origine d’une condensation préjudiciable à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur du téléconvertisseur. Avant de faire passer le téléconvertisseur d’un environnement chaud à froid ou vice versa, rangez-le dans un sac ou dans une boîte en plastique pour ralentir le changement de température.

• Nous vous recommandons de ranger le téléconvertisseur dans son étui afin de le protéger des rayures lors du transport.

Entretien du matériel

• Normalement, enlever la poussière suffit pour nettoyer les lentilles en verre.

• Vous pouvez nettoyer les lentilles avant et arrière traitées au fluor

- Les taches, les traces de doigt et autres taches huileuses peuvent être retirées avec un tissu propre et doux en coton ou un chiffon optique; nettoyez avec un mouvement circulaire à partir du centre vers l’extérieur.

- Pour retirer les taches tenaces, essuyez délicatement avec un chiffon doux et légèrement imbibé d’une petite quantité d’eau distillée, d’éthanol ou de nettoyant pour objectif.

- Les marques en forme de goutte éventuellement présentes suite à ce nettoyage sur la surface hydrofuge et oléofuge peuvent ensuite être retirées avec un chiffon sec.

• N’utilisez jamais de solvants organiques comme un diluant à peinture ou du benzène pour nettoyer un quelconque élément du téléconvertisseur.

• Ne le rangez pas avec des boules antimites de naphtaline ou de camphre ou à la lumière directe du soleil. Si vous n’avez pas l’intention d’utiliser le téléconvertisseur avant longtemps, rangez-le dans un endroit frais et sec pour éviter la moisissure et la rouille.

Utilisation de l’étui pour objectif

• L’étui est destiné à protéger le téléconvertisseur des rayures et non des chutes ou autres chocs physiques.

• L’étui n’est pas résistant à l’eau.

• La matière utilisée dans cet étui peut se décolorer, déteindre, s’étirer, rétrécir ou changer de couleur en cas de frottement ou d’humidité.

• Retirez la poussière avec une brosse à poils doux.

• L’eau et les taches peuvent être retirées de la surface avec un chi on doux et sec. N’utilisez pas d’alcool, de benzène, de diluant ou d’autres substances chimiques volatiles.

• Ne rangez pas l’étui dans des lieux exposés à la lumière directe du soleil, à des températures élevées ou à l’humidité.

• N’utilisez pas l’étui pour nettoyer le moniteur ou les lentilles.

Z TELECONVERTER TC-2.0x

Os teleconversores TC-1.4x e TC-2.0x Z são acessórios para objetivas que podem ser montados entre a objetiva principal e uma câmara mirrorless de encaixe Z da Nikon para aumentar a distância focal. O TC-1.4x aumenta a distância focal em 1,4× e o TC-2.0x em 2,0×. Antes de utilizar o seu novo teleconversor, certifique-se de que lê atentamente tanto este manual como a documentação fornecida com a câmara e a objetiva.

• O TC-1.4x e o TC-2.0x podem ser usados com objetivas de encaixe Z que suportam teleconversores, nomeadamente (a partir de maio de 2020) a NIKKOR Z 70–200 mm f/2.8 VR S.

• Atualize o firmware da câmara e da objetiva para as versões mais recentes. O firmware mais recente pode ser transferido do Centro de Transferências Nikon no URL abaixo.

Instalar e Remover o Teleconversor: Precauções

• O seu teleconversor deve ser usado apenas com objetivas de encaixe Z compatíveis.

- Não tente montar objetivas incompatíveis, teleconversores para objetivas de encaixe

F, adaptadores de encaixe FTZ ou outros acessórios incompatíveis, dado que isso pode danificar o teleconversor, a objetiva ou o acessório.

- Os teleconversores não podem ser conectados uns aos outros.

• Monte a objetiva no teleconversor antes de colocar o teleconversor na câmara. Não tente conectar o teleconversor sem antes conectar uma objetiva.

• A montagem da objetiva na face frontal do teleconversor prolonga-se mais que a base de montagem. Os elementos no interior da câmara que entram em contacto com a montagem da objetiva podem ficar danificados.

• Alinhe a marca de montagem da objetiva no teleconversor com a marca de

montagem da objetiva na objetiva (a - q) e rode o teleconversor na direção mostrada até que se encaixe no lugar (a - w).

• Tenha cuidado para não pressionar o desbloqueio da objetiva no teleconversor enquanto coloca o teleconversor.

x Coloque o conjunto na câmara.

• Alinhe a marca de montagem da câmara no teleconversor com a marca de montagem da objetiva na câmara (b - q) e rode o teleconversor na direção mostrada até que se encaixe no lugar (b - w).

• Tenha cuidado para não pressionar o botão de desbloqueio da objetiva na câmara enquanto coloca o teleconversor.

Remoção (Figura 3)

z Remova o conjunto da câmara.

• Mantenha o botão de desbloqueio da objetiva da câmara premido (a - q) enquanto roda o teleconversor na direção mostrada (a - w). O teleconversor pode ser removido quando a marca de montagem da câmara no teleconversor está alinhada com a marca de montagem da objetiva na câmara.

x Remova o teleconversor da objetiva.

• Mantenha o desbloqueio da objetiva do teleconversor premido (b - q) enquanto roda o teleconversor na direção mostrada (b - w). O teleconversor pode ser removido quando a marca de montagem da objetiva no teleconversor está alinhada com a marca de montagem da objetiva na objetiva.

Velocidade da Objetiva

A montagem de objetivas num teleconversor reduz a sua velocidade (abertura efetiva ou “luminosidade”): em 1 ponto no caso do TC-1.4x e em 2 pontos no caso do TC-2.0x.

Precauções de Utilização

• Mantenha os contactos CPU limpos.

• Se a junta de borracha da montagem da objetiva ficar danificada, cesse a utilização imediatamente e leve o teleconversor a um centro de assistência autorizado da Nikon para reparação.

• Volte a colocar a tampa da objetiva e a tampa frontal do teleconversor quando o teleconversor não estiver a ser utilizado.

• Não deixe o teleconversor em locais húmidos ou em locais onde possa ser exposto a humidade. Ferrugem no mecanismo interno pode causar danos irreparáveis.

• Não deixe o teleconversor próximo de chamas abertas ou em outros locais extremamente quentes. O calor extremo pode danificar ou deformar o exterior de plástico reforçado.

• Mudanças bruscas de temperatura podem causar condensação que danifica o interior e o exterior do teleconversor. Antes de levar o teleconversor de um ambiente quente para um ambiente frio ou vice-versa, coloque-o num saco ou num estojo de plástico para retardar a mudança de temperatura.

• Recomendamos que coloque o teleconversor na sua bolsa para o proteger contra riscos durante o transporte.

Cuidados com o Produto

• Remover o pó é normalmente suficiente para limpar os elementos de vidro da objetiva.

• Os elementos frontal e traseiro da objetiva com revestimento de flúor descreve abaixo.

- Borrões, impressões digitais e outras manchas oleosas podem ser retiradas com um pano de algodão macio e limpo ou um pano de limpeza de objetivas; limpe a partir do centro para fora num movimento circular.

- Para remover manchas mais persistentes, limpe cuidadosamente com um pano suave ligeiramente humedecido com uma pequena quantidade de água destilada, etanol ou líquido de limpeza de lentes.

- Quaisquer marcas em forma de gota deixadas por este processo na superfície repelente a água e óleo podem ser posteriormente removidas com um pano seco.

• Nunca use solventes orgânicos tais como diluente ou benzeno para limpar qualquer parte do teleconversor.

• Não guarde com bolas de naftalina ou cânfora, nem o exponha à luz solar direta. Se o teleconversor não for usado durante um longo período de tempo, guarde-o num local fresco e seco para evitar bolor e ferrugem.

Utilizar a Bolsa Para Objetiva

• A bolsa foi concebida para proteger o teleconversor de riscos, não de quedas ou outros choques físicos.

• A bolsa não é à prova de água.

• O material utilizado na bolsa pode  car descolorado, tingir, expandir, encolher ou mudar de cor quando esfregado ou molhado.

• Remova o pó com uma escova suave.

• Água e manchas podem ser removidas da superfície com um pano macio e seco. Não utilize álcool, benzeno, diluente ou outros químicos voláteis.

• Não guarde em locais expostos à luz solar direta ou a temperaturas ou humidade elevadas.

• Não utilize a bolsa para limpar o monitor ou os elementos da objetiva

• Tenha cuidado para que o teleconversor não caia da bolsa durante o transporte.

• Konverter tele Anda adalah bagi penggunaan dengan lensa dudukan Z kompatibel saja.

• Pasang lensa ke konverter tele sebelum memasang konverter telenya ke kamera. Jangan mencoba memasang konverter tele tanpa terlebih dulu memasang lensa.

• Dudukan lensa pada wajah depan dari konverter tele memanjang lebih jauh daripada dasar dudukan. Elemen di dalam kamera yang bersentuhan dengan dudukan lensa dapat rusak.

Kecepatan Lensa

Pemasangan lensa pada konverter tele menurunkan kecepatannya (bukaan efektif, atau “kecerahan”): sebesar 1 stop dalam hal TC-1.4x dan sebesar 2 stop dalam hal TC-2.0x.

Petunjuk Penggunaan

• Jaga kontak CPU tetap bersih.

• Sekiranya gasket karet pemasangan lensa rusak, segera hentikan penggunaan dan bawa konverter tele ke pusat servis resmi Nikon untuk perbaikan.

• Pasang penutup konverter tele dan penutup lensa saat konverter tele tidak digunakan.
